I loved the classical atmosphere that conveyed a sense of tradition. I often got lost trying to find the way in the corridor, but the staff always spoke to me and kindly guided me, for which I am grateful. Since the location is Tokyo Station, it was convenient to step outside and find places like Marunouchi Building and KITTE. Breakfast was very delicious, and while there are hotels with a wide variety of breads, I thought it was rare to have sandwiches prepared in the morning. Moreover, the egg sandwich was packed with filling and exceptionally tasty. I hadn't experienced sandwiches like this being served for breakfast in many hotels. The miso soup was made with crab dashi, and there was a cold melon soup, with desserts being crafted on-site by artisans from Toraya, creating a selection of carefully chosen delicious offerings. I've stayed at several luxury hotels in Tokyo, but I felt that this type of breakfast is quite unique. Since this hotel is located at Tokyo Station, a symbol of Japan, I truly felt the spirit of "omotenashi" (hospitality). This has become one of my favorite hotels, and I hope to stay here again someday.
We stayed four nights at The Tokyo Station Hotel in April, and while the experience was overall positive, there were a few disappointments that took away from the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful — elegant, atmospheric, and superbly located inside Tokyo Station, which makes it extremely convenient for travel around the city or beyond. The building has a historic charm, and the rooms are quiet and tastefully designed. It was a lovely setting for a special trip. However, we did encounter some service-related issues. Firstly, we were initially charged for breakfasts we did not take, and while this was eventually corrected, it was an oversight that shouldn’t occur at this level. Secondly, despite being members of the SLH program and staying four nights, the hotel refused to credit the stay to our SLH account because we booked through Agoda. This was frustrating and felt unnecessarily rigid. As an American Express Platinum member, I was also surprised that none of the usual benefits were honoured, again due to booking channel restrictions — which were inconsistently explained by staff. Lastly, while staff were polite and well-meaning, the level of English was quite limited, which led to a few miscommunications. This is a common challenge in Japan, but worth noting if you’re expecting smooth, detailed service interactions. That said, we did enjoy our time at the hotel and would still recommend it for its location, design, and comfort — just be aware that service may not always match the expectations one might have for a hotel in this category.
The central location is brilliant after an exhausting trans-Pacific flight and long train ride in from the airport. The room was very comfortable. Another key advantage is the bathing facility with sauna, steam room, and warm and cold plunge pools that are perfect for recovery from jet lag. The breakfast buffet (I chose the Japanese option—delicious! And they have full Western offerings as well) in the Atrium was amazing. The staff was gracious and extremely helpful. I will definitely return in the future and recommend it to everyone.
Everything in the hotel was top-notch - from the friendly staff and interior design to room maintenance, cleanliness and comfortability. The dome side comfort king room we booked was modernly designed and furnished and everything functioned so well that we won't notice it's a 110-year-old building by simply staying in the room. And what stands out is how the hotel respects and appreciates its long history - once arrived we were given a brochure about the history and design of the hotel, and a hotel map with captions that guided us through the historical photos and paintings of the station along the hallways. Classic and timeless. Breakfast buffet was not among the greatest variety I have tried yet it was very yummy (especially the Japanese section). The place (Atrium) could get easily full though. Staff was also polite and friendly and ready to help, except few of them were not quite able to communicate in English. Still would love to stay in this hotel again!

The room size is generous, providing a comfortable atmosphere for rest, while housekeeping maintains everything in top shape. Overall, an exceptional stay that exceeded all expectations.
