It's about a 5-minute walk from Taichung Station. It's located just across the block in front of Taichung Station, so you can go either right, straight, left or left, straight, right to get there. Going left gives the impression of a big city, while going right gives the impression of a backstreet in the countryside, which might be interesting for those who like to walk around the city. The hotel gives the impression of an old, large hotel. The facilities are old, but the rooms are clean and quiet. The door is a bit stiff. There is a bathtub, but no shower outside the tub. The toilet does not have a cleaning function. There is shampoo, but no conditioner or rinse. There is a toothbrush, comb, and razor. There is solid soap, but no soap dish. There is no towel rack for used towels (should they be hung on the laundry mat after washing?). The air conditioning in the room only has High, Low, and Off settings, and the temperature cannot be adjusted (it was cold in October, but it might be okay in summer?). There are disposable paper slippers, but no pajamas. There is free 500ml bottled water and tea bags for each person in the room. There is an electric kettle, refrigerator, TV, and hair dryer. The breakfast buffet consists of rice porridge and side dishes (meat floss, pickled vegetables, soy meat, pickles, etc.), several side dishes (bean sprouts stir-fry, vermicelli, minced meat stew, cabbage stir-fry, scrambled eggs, etc.), two types of cereal, several types of bread, milk, soy milk, orange juice, sweet tea, unsweetened iced tea, and coffee. Since it's Taiwan, it's disappointing that there are no desserts or fruits. There was also rice, but it was sticky and clumpy, which was also disappointing. The front desk staff are friendly and greet you when you leave and return. Some of them speak English. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, which can accommodate many cars.

The service staff is very attentive and professional, they will personally guide you to the parking location. The room is very clean and breakfast is included. The cost of staying is of great value. There is a 7-11 downstairs which is very convenient. It is close to the Zhongxiao Night Market. If I visit Taichung again, I would like to stay here again.

Just next to the rear train station, it only takes two minutes to walk to the Da Lu Ge Xin Shi Dai and ten minutes to Lalaport. Breakfast is included and the price in this area should be the most affordable.

Decent stay”
We stayed in Taichung for 2 nights. The one thing that made me want to book this hotel was because this is one of few hotels that provides free parking lot on the premise. We went there during weekdays so parking was never a problem. Room was a bit smaller than expected. It's an old building, so understandable. One thing I would like to point out is the air conditioner inside our room cannot be manually controlled. So it's difficult to get a good sleep as it was too cold at night. Breakfast was not so great to be honest. Overall, it's a decent stay but can be improved more in the future.

The room is big enough for our friends group. Tho the staff have limited conversations in Engllish (hskpg) they are friendly and tries to translate it for you. Breakfast food tho is the same everyday for the entire duration of our stay. It would be nice to have a cycle of menu atleast for hot items. Overall tho, the location, size, cleanliness inspite of the outdated structure - the hotel is great.
