We found this hotel in the Lonely Planet Bali guidebook, and read the good reviews here on agoda. We wanted to visit a part of Bali away from the crowded tourist areas of Denpasar/Seminyak and Ubud, and we found it. We love snorkeling, and this area is known to have some of the best snorkeling and diving in Bali. It's easy to arrange a car with driver in Bali, very reasonable and reliable, and better than driving yourself on Bali's confusing roads. Our driver brought us to Taman Sari from Seminyak, and stopped for lunch at a restaurant across from the picturesque Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. The hotel is located in tranquil northwest Bali. The hotel property is huge, quite surprising considering the prime beachfront location. The staff was smiling, friendly, and helpful. Our villa was large with a comfortable bed with mosquito netting, but we never had a mosquito problem. The bathroom and shower was through a private door to a secure and private outdoor area. It was magical to take a shower outdoors in our nice private bathroom. The hotel breakfast was included in our rate, and prepared fresh to order. With dining tables on the beach under shady trees, our meals were a magical experience. The hotel's dive shop arranged a snorkeling tour of nearby Pemuteran Island. The coral wall at the island is spectacular for snorkelers and divers - highly recommended! The hotel also arranged a motorbike for us. This part of Bali is not busy, so we felt safe riding the motorbike. We had a massage at the hotel spa, and relaxed in the two beautiful swimming pools near the beach. We loved Taman Sari Bali Resort and Spa and highly recommend it.
We loved our few days at Taman Sari. It's a traditional Balinese run hotel set on a peaceful and unspoiled beach in the most beautiful setting in manicured gardens. During certain tides rubbish makes it's way onto the beach but the hotel works hard to keep it clean. Do yourself a favour and spend a few nights here

As we request the late checkout, the front office give us unyil 13.00 to checkout, but since 12.00 so.e of the housekeeping personel already standby ib front of out room with extrabed matress, cleaning equipment, towel, bedding etc, and start chatting with each other about us not checking out at 12.00 rather than 13.00, a d they keep cou ting yime, saying ok in 30 minuye we can enter, and so on coubtjbg every 10 minutes talking to eachother in BALINESE languangr and unfortunately I CAN UNDERTAND. At 13.00 onthe dot u left the room and immediatelt they storm the room, so I did not bother to locktge room and go to the frontdesk to checkout and complain about it, bu as expected there is no manager or anybody incharge, hence the supervisor attitude, also whemI want to talk to the housekeeping supervisor, they have me waiting for almost 20 minuts just to get all the unprofessional answers fron her, not even a sorrg, all just excuses and defensive answer. They yhink that Ian a loval toyrist and they can dusrespect us? Hope this review will reach the Owner/manager of the property to evalute the supervisor lady. All of this earn them 1 star review from me, where I almost never give bad review.

“Great place to stay”
This is my second time staying at Taman Sari and I will certainly come back! Great location, top facilities, nice snorkelling in front of the resort, rooms are clean and well decorated, staff is friendly. The large grounds are well maintained. Perfect stay!
