"A hidden gem in Suva. Off street parking and value for money excellent. I arrived late Sunday afternoon June 17th knocked on the main door, due to uncertainty as to where the car park was. I am sorry I didn't get his name but the man on reception got in my car took me all the way to the carpark ,opened the barriers and got me to reception. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Suva and this was by far the best on price alone. The room was delightful and nicely decorated. This is not a venue for anyone wanting to lie by the pool etc. I was there for work alone so it suited my purpose perfectly. Several good restaurants in close proximity . "

"We were couple stayed 3 nights at Peninsula. Everything was smooth and fine with our stay at this place. Jenny, at reception was very friendly and helpful with all our queries. Taxies were also available at door step. Hotel is situated very close to town and in suva centre. Room service was too good and clean. Although, the hotel is currently under maintenance so little bit noisy in between 9 to 5 but that was fine with us. The only disappointment we had was a staff/worker who started giggling and laughing around 4 am near our room which did affect my sleep for a while. "

"I think the best part of this hotel is its location, opposite to the Govt. Buildings and Parliament, and Fiji Museum. It could be a starting point of strolling along the seawall (Queen Elizabeth Dr.). The Rosie travel desk can help you book the Coral Sun Express Bus (to go to Suva) with the fee of $25, no additional fee as other agents may charge. But I wish the agent on the desk could have smiled a bit more. That way, I'd feel even better. "

"The Grand Pacific Hotel is a lovely historic fixture in Suva, and the staff take great pride in the hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive, and helpful to accommodate any requests. The breakfast had a wide selection of options. The veranda had a lovely view of the ocean and a very pleasant place to have a drink or a meal. The presentation of meals from the restaurant was lovely, and the food was quite tasty with a range of dishes. I recommend and would stay again next visit to Suva. While the room was clean and view lovely, I'm not sure why the trash was not emptied every day. Similarly, while the hallways were well kept, the stairwell had the same two cigarette butts in it the whole time I stayed at the hotel. The gym is small but functional."

"We stayed in Suva for a week. Our first night was very rainy, we didn't know the city - the manager of the hotel recommended a restaurant, had us call in our order, we gave him money, he went and picked up our food as take-away. I've NEVER had a manager go to a restaurant and pick up food for us - this was beyond nice!!! The rooms were huge, staff friendly and helpful, things were very clean. They are currently expanding the facility, and things were a little messy outside - that is the only reason I didn't give a 5 for facility cleanliness. Inside was spotless! We really enjoyed our stay."
