I stayed at Rucksack Inn Siargao and had such a great experience! The place has a cozy, laid-back vibe that perfectly matches the island. My trip sadly fell in between the onset of Typhoon Opong and exit, which halted all sea travels as directed by the PCG. My inland tour was even cancelled. As I was stressing with no announcement yet, I chose to book another night in Rucksack Inn, it was Sir Gelo who was my anchor when I was asking what to do, he facilitated everything and endorsed it to the next shift staff, and it was very seamless, I did not have to move to another room, it's as if I just had another extra day in the island. He even called me as requested making sure I catch the early trip back to the mainland, Surigao City to able to catch my flight in another city. And I met kindred spirits who are staying here. Kudos to the management and most especially to their well trained staff and going beyond, Sir Gelo, thank you.

I stayed here for six nights, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Meeting amazing people was the highlight of it. • The staff are approachable and very helpful • Cleanliness can be improved. When I checked in, the only thing they cleaned was my bed, but the room was a little messy. I think they can leave a broom and a dustpan inside so that the occupants of the room can clean it themselves. • The bathroom is okay, but of course, we need our housekeeping to clean it from time to time. • CHECK IN is at 3 PM, but I'm glad my room was ready before 2 PM, so I was able to rest. They also have a luggage room where you can leave your stuff while waiting to be checked in. • Rucksack Inn is probably around 2.5 km from the busy area but it's super close to Cloud 9 and Catangnan Bridge. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and met a lot of friends. I'll be back for sure!

The room was clean, and there are towels included. The in house restaurant serves good food, a bit pricy though and the food selection needs expanding. Other than that, the stay was nice and comfortable. The staff could be a bit more proactive on helping guests. Checked out, carrying luggage and two hand-carry bags, there was not even an attempt to help, i would have declined it but being asked would have been nice. Also might need a better uniform, they are not that distinguishable from other guests with just a black shirt. Even when there is a print, it just looks like a souvenir shirt or a graphic tee.

“Kudos for proactive night shift staff”
2nd time to stay and still a thumbs up for me. Love the aura vibes it gives, spacious bunk bed, security , facilities , cleanliness , the pool is nice as well, but for this 2nd stay I would like to kudos their night shift staff ( was'nt able to get his name) , so I checked out around 4 am , I booked a shuttle to airport and my pick up time is 5 am so I told the staff I will wait in the lobby in case the shuttle arrive, he checked it and saw that my shuttle date is different so he called the driver and I was picked up 5 am . Imagine if he didnt check it since I'm already checked out , the hassle and additional cost it will incur me and I might even be delayed with my flight. So thankful for the organized system in Rucksack that they have a shuttle service there , so convenient for everyone staying there.. Good job
