Northern Division hotels & accommodations

This place is everything and more than what we imagined. The staff, the food, the island!! While it took me a day or two to adjust to the no tv/radio and limited internet by the end of our time at Qamea I was wishing we were there longer. Now at home I find myself wondering what the team at Qamea are doing today...and am already looking to book our next trip.

Absolutely the best one I've ever been. Stunning sea view with a staircase to the laggon directly from my room. Staff are easy-going and helpful all the time. Everyone knew my name and greeted to me with beautiful smile. Complimentary prosseco in room, free transfer to airport, awesome activities, etc. Everything here impressed my a lot and I will def come back f...

Our experience at Sau Bay was one for the books! Sera and team took such great care of us and was incredibly accommodating. As a couple who dive, we felt absolutely spoiled by the world-class diving, just a short boat ride away. Carl, the awesome divemaster, will take you to the best sites - we highly recommend the Great White Wall. Not a diver? All good! There are hea...

This was probably the best value resort mostly because they have dorm rooms. I was actually looking for a family run guesthouse for 80fjd per night and the island did have one around the northern tip but not on the Internet. I thought the lodge was a little overpriced. The deck had slightly weak boards, their was no couch.. Just a bunch of chairs in average condition, ...

I spent one week in this resort which I chose spontaneously because the price was stated as 77% less than it is usually is. For approx. Eur 75.00 per night (double room / single occupancy with breakfast) it was perfectly ok. But I wonder who would be willing to pay the normal price? The rooms are clean and modern and the personnel is wonderful and very friendly (just...

My wife & I stayed at Matangi to celebrate her BIG Birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed in on of their Treehouse. It provide us complete privacy. That differentiate this resort from many others is what you are very close to the nature in very relaxed environment. All staff is very friendly and kind. Resort offer many activities. We absolute loved our 1 week stay. The staff are fanfastic and the beach villa with 2 separate rooms + small kitchen/living area was ideal for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We chose the resort for its proximity to rainbow reef +white wall and the dive sites were amazing! Diving was organized through the hotel with Taveuni Ocean sports. Julie and her team were great. Ten reasons why Aroha is the perfect place: 1. The location is really on the beach front and every morning the view took my breath away 2. Aroha is well positioned for you to visit the two waterfalls and the Natural water slides. A good base to explore various parts of Taveuni 3. For scuba divers, when the tide is right the Taveuni dive operator will pick you up in f...

First of all, getting to Savusavu with bus/ferry is not much fun, better to avoid it and take a flight. The lodge itself is lovely, the cleanest place I have experienced in Fiji, and Sarah is a wonderful and helpful host. She has some nice fruit trees in the garden, so we could eat avocado right from the tree! She helped with the activities as well. Best place in Savus...

Daku was a great place to stay for our 5 days in Savusavu. We had a room right across from the bay where we could sit on the patio and watch the world go by and easily go for a quick swim/snorkel at high tide (kayaks and paddleboards were available for use free of charge). Extremely quiet and serene. As far as the food goes, we only ate dinner at the resort once, we ...

Great food, deserted island yet close enough to main island (15-20mins boat ride), nice place for stargazing, lots of animal to take picture of (tropical birds including parrots, frogs, crabs, lizard if you walk around the island. Amazing beach... and some area for snorkle at the outer reef.

This stay was a perfect weekend in the jungle on the north side of vanua levu. There are few to none hotels on the north side of the island and if you want to access the water via the jetty with the free kayaks or a boat ride to the reef, this is the best place to stay. Thank you to Julie and Joe for your amazing hospitality!

First, you have to remember this is a dive resort. It is beautifully laid out though the notation of waterview at least for our unit was very filtered. Our room was set up for four people and I missed an inside chair though their was a lovely outdoor shower and an outdoor table and chairs. The staff was fabulous, friendly, and willing to please. Unfortunately, the home...

I can't say enough about how beautiful Naveria Heights lodge was and how wonderful the owner Sharon and her staff are. At first I thought that maybe the price was too steep for me - a solo traveller who would spend most of their time outside the villa diving anyway. But one night was not enough. It's so beautiful and peaceful that it makes you never want to leave. The ...

It is a really nice place for relaxing, enjoying the holiday or diving. The room is very clean and large with a beautiful sea view of the sunrise. It's more like a home rather than a hotel. The manager, Clark, is a very nice guy who is also a parachute coach from New Zealand gave me a lot of help! Highly recommend!

We stayed twice at this hotel and enjoyed the location which is just at the end of the town, close to the market and public transport. We first stayed at a standard room which we preferred as it was more colonial and lovely renovated compared to the more expensive room. Staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant fantastic.

Value for money - the price of a tent or bure is very cheap considering that it's in Fiji. The price for food is way higher than a normal Fijian meal but the chef here in Dolphin Bay is exceptional. They can cook any cuisine from Asian to Italian. You will need the light meal plan at the least after exhausting yourself with a two tank dives. Location - I love the loca...

We had a great stay at Dolphin bay Divers Matei. Extremely accessible from airport, about a 2 minute walk. There are 3 flights a day that come in and noise is not an issue at all. We actually checked in for our flight back and then walked back to Dolphin Bay Matei to just chat w/ Robert (the owner). Once the plane flew in overhead, we walked back to the airport and...

I and my husband stayed for 3nights, and everyday was just perfect. Since the weather wasn't always good and only sunny day was Sunday, there weren't many options for activities. Lucy, lala, and all the staff were amazing! My wife and I felt right at home and welcome to the makaira family. Stay here to experience cooking close to Micheline level. We will never forget the high quality meals, which were the best food we tasted in Fiji. Book a room in the boat, and experience the rareness of taking a jacuzzi bath on the upper deck. Warm and professional staff. Would stay again. Vinaka!
Cheap places to stay in Northern Division

Given a individual bure when booked a double room which was supposed to be in the main building. Large space. Good wifi connection. One thing we didn't use to was the outdoor shower, but figured out people outside should not be able to see you, even if you notice them. But you can see the stars when showering lol. Down the road is the coastline where swimming is possib...

Ants in the bed, no water in the tub, low pressure water in the bath. I couldn’t find the staff to tell them my problems. Insects and gekkos around the place, and it was hot at night. No A/C, only one fan for all rooms. I wouldn’t stay there again. It’s in the deep of the garden, you will need to walk to the ocean/restaurant/everywhere you need for at least 10-15 minut...

Generally, we rate this place very well and we would love to come back to it. Before I get to the pros, I might start from the worse side: - our greeting was not as described on the website - we were given a coconut, but there was no foot therapy. In addition, it turned out that the resort had read our order badly and wanted us to "push" into the house in the lightho...
