Where to stay in East Nusa Tenggara
East Nusa Tenggara hotels & accommodations

We stayed in Bintang Flores Hotel for 4 nights and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is actually a bit of distance from Labuan Bajo city centre, as in Nov 2018 there were not any restaurants or shops around. To walk to the city centre, it would take 30 minutes, you can book a taxi through the hotel and cost Rp.50,000 each way and that can cost quite a bit ...

Smack in the middle of town, next to all the dive shops, tour agents, shops .. however once u enter the hotel, u leave all that behind. Room n hotel are different from the rest., in a good way. Hanging garden , that is pure inspiration. You can eat at the rooftop restaurant with the view of the Harbour that is within walking distance. Or just find a space to hangout wh...

First the bad news: It's a little ways out of town (which is good news, because it isn't much of a town). Taxis and bemos tend to overcharge around here. But the hotel was very accommodating in either providing transportation themselves or arranging it. All the rest is great news: Hotels in Malaysia tend to be friendly and helpful, but the manager and staff at th...

My friends and I (a group of 5) were traveling around Indonesia for 3 weeks and we have seen a lot of different types of accommodation in Indonesia and Sylvia resort is by far the best place we stayed in during our trip. The staff is very kind, welcoming and will go out of their way to answer any question and provide the best service. The rooms are cleaned daily and ou...

Although a discount, we paid the price for a quite high quality standard (160 Euros/night for a couple incl. breakfast) but we got very poor services. It was a scam. Food (lunch and diners) are to be avoid but you need to take the boat escort to reach Labuan Bajo and they make the fee expensive. We are used to travel a lot and this is the first time we see such a poor ...

cozy place, friendly staffs, the provide pick up from airport to hotel and return not every hotel had this facilitates for free, my room in the lower hill it mean the street view, but that enough for me, not to busy and can see a wildlife in the morning like monkeys and birds. the hotel near Pura , Church and Mosque but the terrain lil bit up hill heehehe. for me if ...

while the centro bajo is not in the center of all of the activities going on in this small city, it is close enough to walk. what the hotel offers is a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. the staff is very friendly and while some of them struggle with english they all tried their best to assist in solving any problems. on the downside is the lack of hot water in the...

I have to say - the hotel staff is the best I've ever met, everyone greeting you and smiling at you. The first night I got a suspect dog bite and the hotel manager drove me to the hospital and sent me back too, and they even followed through and cared about me so much, so really appreciate that! The location is great, 10 minutes drive from the airport and the view i...

Flores is a pretty small place. This hotel is right on the main strip near most of the other restaurants. The view from the room wasn't great but the view from the balcony/breakfast is fantastic. Just a short walk down to the port where you will catch the boats to see the komodo dragons. Highly recommend booking a day cruise with Alexandria Cruise.

The stuff was very helpfull and polite and we could leave our 2 big boardbags there when we did a boattrip.. we rebted scooters in town to be fully free and we could travel around and explore on our own.. the room was amazing with a lovely bathroom.. we hung up our hammok on the balco y and had the best view to the bay from there! Also the kitchen is really delicious.....

stayed here for just 1 night before leaving to Kefamenanu on the next day. booked deluxe room and got the 11th floor facing the sea. it was probably the best sea view room I have ever stayed in. the breakfast was one of the best breakfast I have ever had not only because of the vast variety of food and beverages being offered but also the location of the Balcony restau...

The best thing about this hotel is location right in front of the beach. Bookings through Agoda and travel agents get rooms facing the road, not the beach. But I think they had overbooked the city view rooms, so I was fortunate to be given a beach facing room. The view was fantastic. Just the view made all the difference. I would highly recommend taking a sea facing ro...

The rooms are tiled, spacious, mine had aircon, twin beds, local tv, a desk, space for your clothes and belongings, a modern bathroom with hot water, and a terrasse with two chairs and a small table facing a garden. Everything was super clean, they clean the room , change the towels everyday, and give you two small bottles of water a day. Breakfast is included. It is ...

It's OK for the price offered for the superior room. But for most of the hotel in Labuan Bajo are fully booked anyway, so you might found the price more expensive than Bali for this kind of hotel quality. Does not have wi-fi and the breakfast option quite poor compare to other hotel with the same rate which located within walking distance. The staffs are helpful though...

one of few hotels in Sumba can be booked online. basic facilities in basic room but just enough. good value. great food in restaurant. close to airport and provides free airport shuttle. reception can organise tours and car rental. WiFi is the strongest in restaurant area.

We really enjoyed our stay at capa maumere hotel. It was my boyfriends birthday on the date we arrived and all the staff greeted us singing happy birthday with a guitar, gave us a birthday cake and welcome cocktails. The location was lovely and the views were breathtaking. The pool area was gorgeous too, perfect place to relax watching the sunrise over the bay. The ho...

Absolutely the great hotel to stay while visiting Sumba Location is amazing on the beach. , nice room with balcony facing the sea. Pool. Very friendly staff all of them, Octavinius was very helpfull. Food is good, no wifi. best is to have purchased a sim card before or can be found in town. Overall a memorable experience in Sumba.will recommend hotel Mario.

Kawasuri has been the best hotel I have been in the last past 3 months traveling thru Asia. It is a new hotel, very clean, spacious room with balcony and breakfast is included and they bring it to you in your room so you can have breakfast on your balcony enjoying the view. As soon I arrived I knew I was going to like it and I did! The atmosphere is amazing, it is not ...

I stayed in this hotel on my transit to Jakarta and I enjoyed it. I particularly love that all foods only a minute a way, they even have a nice coffee shop next to lobby, which I can enjoy food and drink and work until late (I left about 10pm and I dont know what time they closed, 11pm maybe? Forget to ask). Overall the room is okay. I wished the staff in restaurant, e...

I stayed at L Bajo Hotel Komodo for 4 nights whilst holidaying in Labuan Bajo. Room 408 was a simple room on the 4th floor with a great view overlooking to harbour edge and out to the nearby islands. I got an amazing sunset photo from hanging out of the open window at sunset. Most staff had only a little English language but I can speak pretty good Bahasa Indonesia s...

This was the most beautiful and most perfect hotel where we have stayed in whole South east asia! The room is like a dream come true and everytime you come in again you feel a little sprak inside. The view from the beach looking out to hills which change colour with the light across an aquamarine sea is truly spectacular. The reef is amazing. Loads to see with snorkelling gear provided by the resort. The restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of choice and the pasta we had one night was really delicious. But felt the trips were quite a lot of money - the hir...

Very kind and helpful staff. Convenient location for our visit purpose (close to the airport and to the University of Nusa Cendana). Clean and pleasant rooms with adequate amenities. Food and beverage are very good. Hotel has shuttle service to and from the airport which helps tremendously. Hotel also assists in getting local transportation which is rather costly but w...

this hotel is a 1 star hotel, pretty impressive for the service and running by family, i assume. they are fully service oriented and super polite. Location is not in the city center / nor harbour, but they provide you driver for picking up and drop off. (in my case, after done with my 3days cruising trip, i called them to pick me up at meeting point that i wanted, th...
Cheap places to stay in East Nusa Tenggara

I booked here for three nights but stayed for two as I took the boat tour to Komodo and wanted to leave some of my stuff safe because I had heard of boats capsizing. Very great and affordable place, cute and comfortable beds. My stuff was safe. It is close to the main road but not on it, so it is even more quiet. Close to the night market and they have a deal with the ...

It's a very simple hostel but also a cheap one. If you are not picky is a great option to save money. If you are looking for something fancy this is definitely not a place for you and you should spend some more money. The owner is very helpful to provide information. I recommend it

stayed here a few nights, met great people as it's such a big dorm and even in February was mostly full. breakfast was omelette and toast every day but can have as much as you want. big electronic lockers were a plus. !!! booked our 2 day 1 night boat trip !!! through the hostel and it was awesome. really really recommend, boat was good food was great, facilities go...

Perfekt place! I leave this place with a big smile on my face! the staff, the service, good pancakes and the people who lived here are absolutely fantastic. I was here for total 4 nights! The room was perfekt only 6 beds with fan. Closed to the toilets . My plan was to drive the scooter from Labuanbajo to Moni in 4 days one way. the stuff helped me find a precursor wh...

Lovely and sweet place - new and clean. We booked a whole room for our family (2 sets of bunk beds)..great value. Cold water showers, friendly staff, good and cheap Indo food. We walked from airport here in 10 min. It is located 15 min walk from main strip of shops and restaurants but easy to walk or take a bemo. Great place!

Great place, especially considering the price. Very clean hostel with hot water and good pressure in the shower (very rare!). Free drinking water and free simple breakfast. But the highlight is definitely the host family - so genuinely kind and generous... the kind of people that touch your heart and make travelling so beautiful. Cool crowd of travellers too.

Firstly, it's very clean, they manage to clean it at it best, including the bed room, bath room, toilet or just simply the whole hostel. Check in process was very easy and efficient, they greeted me with smile. Some say the location is not very good because it's a bit far from the city, i beg to differ. The location is 100% perfect! It has ocean view, blue sky blue oce...

A lovely guesthouse run by a very kind japanese woman who is able to fluently speak english, japanese and bahasa indonesian, located right in the center of ruteng. The owners are able to rent you a ...

We chose this place as it seemed the best value for money and it was great! The owner was so friendly, always chatting and singing/playing guitar which was great in the evenings. Staff very friendly, fresh fruit and coffee each morning, rooms big, airy and clean, easy to keep cool with just a fan. It is a little way out of town which is nice as the town is very dusty a...

We really enjoyed Moni and I think Lopez played a big part in this! Thecplace itself is simple but enough with good views on the countryside and short walks to the main street of Moni and to a waterfall. Lopez can arrange pretty much everything for your visit of Moni and Kelimutu, and for going to your next destination. But the best things were the dinners we prepared ...

Pavilla is the third place we stayed in Labuan Bajo and is definitely the best value for money. Rooms a very clean and staff is super nice. It is a bit far from town but no problem if you have a scooter. A taxi will cost you 50 each way. The staff will a range island trips, taxis and more. Cheepest and cleanest place we've been, would stay again for sure.

When you arrive with the boat it is easy to find just few yards from the arrival. The checking is at 1 pm the staff is ok friendly , the room on the first floor are ok , a large bed, clean bed shits, the bathroom has cold water but my experience traveling in Indonesia if you don't spend money in a luxurious hotel you get only cold water . The hotel was quiet I think if...

it's value for money, really close to the airport so good for transit just like I did, provide free airport transfer, a bit far to the city but the car rental is cheap (50k per hour). the staff are very nice too. they also serve food, a bowl of meatballs for only 10ribu rupiah. the balcony/lobby is perfect for someone who loves to staring at the night sky, feel the wi...

I stayed here for one night with my family after spending several days exploring the Komodo area and before a flight back to Bali. The staff were so friendly and the pool was a welcome respite from the tropical heat! The morning breakfast was tasty and filling. Even my child found food items he enjoyed. The free shuttle service to both the downtown area and the airport...

Romantic place with no internet where you can enjoy the views and the serenity around you. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It was leaking in our room and they had another ready in no time. We loved the terrace/dining area even though it could use a fan because it can get really hot when there's no wind (40 degrees Celsius!) This is a great base to explore ...

Pros : really good bed with new matress Clean sheets Clean towels Nice staff! They rent bycicle and motorbike Cons : really really old bathroom (shower fell from the wall and the sink is in a really bad state...) Overall good but the bathrooms really need some renovation.

We loved our stay here, although we didn't use the restaurant - the prices seemed insanely high (e.g. 91,000 for a big Bintang when service charge and tax is taken into consideration). Room had a fridge though, so it was easy enough to buy beers in town and store them in our room. A scooter is useful for easy and convenient transportation to Labuan Bajo (5-10 minutes d...

There were some troubles about my next day hotel booking, so I need to make local phone call immediately. Micheal, the manager, took one hour to help me to top up up my SIM card. This is the best manager I’d met in my years of traveling. The room is clean and food is delicious. I’ll recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel, with 2 medium size swimming pool. Location is great, and facing the sea. Beach sand should be cleaned, and maintained even not belong to the hotel, but guest will be pleased to walk around the beach without any garbage. The hotel is new, and should keep maintained to be the best performance.

Labuan Bajo is not a town that you would want to visit as a destination unless you plan to trek or dive in Komodo National Park in my honest opinion. Blue Marlin handles the acomodations and diving side expertly. The hotel accommodations are excellent, the rooms are clean and modern with outstanding views of the picturesque harbor and beyond. The deluxe room features a...

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and spent 4 nights at the Seraya Resort. The bungalow we stayed in was beautiful and the white sand beach was one of the nicest of anywhere we have been and we've been traveling the world for 30+ years. The snorkeling was wonderful and there were all kinds of fish. We saw a baby shark, sea snake, lion fish, parrot fish,...

Well even it is quite expensive but its one of the best hotel in this island. Well they are not developed yet. The location is amazing, they provide all of water activities for free. 18 months ago my girlfriend and I stepped foot on Kanawa for the first time. 18 months ago this simple little island stole our hearts and became my favourite place on earth. So much so that I planned a wedding there, 50 guests, white sandy beaches, life, love and simplicity, it would have been perfect. Having loved Kanawa so much we decided to return last week, thi...
