8/10 Stars overall. We just got home from a nice 2 night stay at the Matabungkay Beach Hotel in Lian, Batangas. The hotel itself is quite old but fairly maintained. But what really gave us a pleasant stay were the staffs. They were polite and proactive. Service was quick although given that we went during off peak season. Virgin Beach Resort is one of the nicest places I've ever been to in Batangas. Clean, peaceful and relaxing. What I loved most is the great customer service. if you want ot go to Puerto Galera the hotel is far from the Batangas pier but direct infront of the hotel you can stop a bus going to Batangas pier, pay 30php and drive 30 min. So it is not a real problem.You can take a Jam Bus from Manila and stop direct in Lipa. Direct in fron of Cara Hotel you can take a multi cub going to the next SM Mal.

The place needed intense cleaning and the deck where pool is located is in need of repair. There should be a guard rail by the pool area for safety reasons. If you slip, you fall down a 30 feet ravine with sharp stones to cushion your fall. So if you have little ones, don't let them out of your sight.

I stayed for one night in one condo room of pico de loro and I can say that it is a budget option than staying in a hotel if you are more than two persons who will stay. You can cook your food because they provide cooking utensil plus free drinking water. The condo is clean except that , I do not want the smell of the blanket. The accommodation is great and is ideal for four people. Although five or more can fit in the room. The room came with basic kitchenware and are in great condition. The room was really clean too. All the staff were very polite and accommodating. The place is secure for a relaxing vacation. We highly recommend it.
