Al Iskandariyah hotels & places to stay

I had booked a sea view room through agoda but when i reached the hotel, they told me it is not sea view and they gave me a side view room.. i was so disapointed that i don't get what i've booked.. i came from Cairo to spend only one night in a good hotel with a sea view.. that was my only desire..who should compensate this?? The hotel or your website??? And by the way the sea view room is more expensive than the other and i had paid the value of the sea view one..

My stay was for 4 days 2 adults 2 kids 9 and 5 yrs superior double room every thing was very good except the extra charge for my daughter 5 ys acoording to the hotel policy extra bed is for free , only one child stay free but the second child i have to pay (special thanks for cooperative receiption senior stuff Mr Haytham ), location and sea view was perfect , animation team did their best to make everybody happy specially kids, night shows , food are very good specially thursday oriental night, the place and furniture need renewal (special thanks for Mr Ashraf head manager for his effort) i will go there again.

Highest attention from all staff ,they made our accommodation very comfortable, nice room view. They made a nice and delicious tart for our anniversary (marriage anniversary) Hotel in general has brilliant services , rooms were spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel! The staff were superb, very welcoming, friendly, helpful and really made our stay special, they really went over and above, from security through to the details. Here my greetings to Mr.wael aboelsoud Hotel manager , Mr Mohamed Manager Assistant, Khaled and Adham in front desk. We will definitely be back again sooner rather than later. Would highly recommend it

As a solo traveller, I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Plaza hotel, I feel though that they don't realise how attractive their property is for solo travellers and they treat it like it's made for families. I found them very helpful and quick on their feet with my requests and enquiries, one lady in particular was very nice and friendly at reception. I especially liked their room service, the burger was homemade and very well cooked, the bread was fresh, the fries were still hot and well spiced, the salad fresh and tasty, I very much felt like this meal was done with love! haha. Their breakfast didn't have that many options, but it was up to standard, nothing too fancy. The room was very clean and equipped with all the basics, the bathroom modern and nice. There was no hairdryer though, which I thought was kinda weird and inconvenient. At some point I needed nail care kit, they didn't have clippers so they gave me two kits with nail file, they're genuinely helpful and good-natured.

It was really windy and cold when we reached Alexandria and I happen to book this hotel on the basis of its star ratings immediately. I must say that the hotel totally lived upto the reviews and ratings and the staff are really kind and helpful. Specially because I was a foreigner, the owner of the hotel was personally really kind to offer us brilliant suggestions and guidance. I think is a great value deal hotel for the space it offers almost like an apartment at this price range. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling! Best of luck to the team! Cheers!

We had a great stay there. It all started with the car parking which was great. The room was well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The was very quiet considering the location of the hotel in a noisy area. The private beach was awesome, especially with the tunnel that runs under the beach road. Breakfast could not be better with a huge variety of food choices. My wife loved the interior decoration and artwork done like in palaces A perfect hotel to relax and unwind.😀

Pros - The entrance to the hotel was extremely welcoming and made you feel like you were entering a 5 star hotel. The rooms are average quite the opposite to the lobby. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cons - Bathroom flooded, maintance arrived quickly and sorted out the blocked drain however no one came to sort out the water on the bathroom floor and we had to walk in and out the bathroom with wet feet. Language barrier was extremely challenging. Bathrooms are very outdated and bath in a very poor condition. WiFi was extremely poor not even worth mentioning to quests. Mosque speakers right by our bedroom windows and resulted in a very early wake up call. On arrival we had assistance with our bags however on check out we were told to bring our own bags down to the lobby

The breakfast buffet was perfect, large selection and good food. The room was not very clean (floor full of dust and crumbles and bedsheets very old) , there was a weird bad smell in the bathroom and the AC had a horrible smell... which makes you think it Had never been cleaned.... The reception staff was extremely rude on Arrival and departure. The services provided are no where near the Standards of HILTON and its ranking stars, therefore the price paid is a rip off and you are treated like absolute shit ! So much for a warm welcoming in a country that needs tourism !!! The waiters were kind (pool and restaurant). We are a young couple used to travel extensively, easy going and generally giving generous tips, but the greetings and departure were simply scandalous and not acceptable under any circumstances. I would never recommend this hotel, the management of Hilton and this hotel need to seriously get it together and review their standards. This is ourfirst time we give a bad review

The apartment was nice enough, but is not in the location indicated in agoda maps. For a tourist wanting a week of beach, this location might be fine, but for business it is located too far from city center. Also, the policy of paying per western union and not with cc for reservation was cumbersome and time consuming. If you are visiting Alexandria to view the city, a more central location is far more convenient.
