Al Bahr al Ahmar hotels & places to stay

Apartment in one of the side streets (not paved). Taxi's won't know where you are headed so have your google maps or some other navigation with you. Services are within 5 minutes walking distance. Area doesn't feel dangerous at all, but be aware of street dogs. Some gets pretty close and are not friendly looking (they respect small rocks that are plentiful on the ground, don't have to throw, but they notice you picking it up). Apartment itself has a one guy present, he doesn't speak english and calls the boss if needed. They tried to ask for more money (twice as much) than in our reservation, but agreed to reservation price once they saw the reservation confirmation. It was weird, because they didn't seem to know till when we have a reservation for, etc. Definitely didn't left any valuables in that place, but it felt all good. Be ready for the dark rooms, not super clean, sheets with some old stains and forget the view. All we saw was the next building under construction that stopped years and years ago.

All the staff I met were really friendly and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately the hotel is in a poor condition and somethings look like they were built badly from the start. So it didn't really meet my expectations based on the photos I saw. Although, considering the price its still good value for money if your looking for a cheap base that's close to Sheraton street.

I’ve stayed here for 2 nights last December, and I wish I could stay longer. The hotel is new, very cozy, love the beds and sheets, very clean and there are accessible stores and shops nearby. Downstairs is a coffee shop where you can have shisha and relax watching with other patrons. The hosts are wonderful. The couple who owns the place Tamir and Ivy are very attentive and pleasant to the guests no matter what time of the day. Tamir gets feedback from guests on their stay and even on the activities offered by the hotel, and he is very approachable and helpful. I personally find the activities great value for money. Im surprised to meet his wife who is also a Filipina and it was a good relief to be able to meet and talk to her while away from our countries. The couple are very warm hosts and they have made me feel welcome and at home. Highly recommended.

although i stayed for a short period of time, i really enjoyed my stay. the room was really big for the three of us. it's view wasn't that good and the elevators were really slow. breakfast was nice but the juices offered were terrible. the best thing about the hotel it is only 5 mins walk to the beach & pool. the pool is not that big but it was nice. there aren't much shopping around in the hotel but it is not far from "sheraton st." and "marina". overall, i'll be going to stay again in if i'm going to hurghada.

This Hotel is quite new,nice,clean and well kept.Most of the staff were great and gives you personal attention. The breakfast was good too. The only drawback was that when booking this hotel there was not written on the Hotel's policies that guests residing outside this hotel are not permitted to stay for any time in it's guests rooms and this even for a short period of time.When I asked why one receptionist who had a very arrogant attitude also told me this is because of the Egyptian culture that doesn't accept not married people to stay in the same room and that I had to follow this. When I noted him that such thing is not written on the hotel policies he still insisted about it.Anyway when I spoke to the manager he had completely another attitude and apologised with me!

we spent 5 days with our 8 months baby girl... we really loved the place it's so comfortable and chic... all the stuff was so helpful with a smile... when I asked for a special food for my baby they was so care ... I recommend it for young couple or old ones for relaxation and enjoying the beach and the sun ... the family as well will enjoy there is a pool for children and 3 for adults...breakfast is the most delicious meal for me for the bakeries which was so fresh and yummy there is lots of variety for the breakfast... lunch and dinner wasn't like breakfast but it was good...the value for the money is excellent... we will come back ever year

Room was wide about 60 m with nice view. co operative staff, tasty food Many swimming pools The only negative point was that u must cross a highway road to go to the beach, although the security man will help you in this My advice is to book breakfast and dinner as there is no near by restaurants, and choose this at booking time where it costs 120LE as if you pay at hotel you will pay double Have a nice time :)

Beautiful Villa with sea view:) The top view flat is simply great, it is specious enough and have everything you may need for your long or short stay. The balcony is nice with sea view. Ashur is a great host, he make you feel like at home, he is also very helpful and extremely nice. This guy definitely worth more then all 5 stars hotel staffs :D honestly, He is just great guy and his tea is the best:)

Me and my wife had a very good time there, the room was spacious, not very fancy but good enough, the view was amazing, i love the effort that’s been done to make the resort look so good, the staff is really the highlight here, all are polite, very friendly and helpful, the food is very good, plentiful and tasty, the main restaurant is king, el dolfino restaurant was very good the sea view there was awesome, try to steer clear from fattosh restaurant though, all they offer is grilled food and the palm actually does it better, the spa there is very good had a good massage, the aqua park is awesome too, So all and all a very good resort almost no complaints except for two minor things, the lady that does the reservations for the restaurants at the guest relations office was not friendly and the pool had a rough patch that could hurt somebody’s foot if they’re not careful, but this is really net picking in the end desert rose will be one of my fondest memory and i am sure ill be going back there again.

Overall it is worthy hotel for low budget traveller. Room is clean, swimming pools are amazing , staffs are pretty nice and food is way better than I expected. Only problem is the location. I needed to use water taxi(10L.E per person) or free bus to go to Marina where all the bars and restaurants are. Also the beach is a little bit far although there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach.

that was our first stay at the Marriott hotel. This was by far the best hotel stay we have had in the area, and probably ever. The service was exceptional from the time we walked through the door. We were greeted by a manager who took our bags, and got us checked in fast and early. We were traveling with an infant and asked if we could checkin at 9:00 am when checkin is not until 4:00 pm. Even though the hotel was extremely busy. The manager found a room for us to checkin to which i really appreciated having a fussy infant. Any special request that we had were taken care of right away with a smile. Our hotel rooms were spotless, and kept that way for the duration of our stay. I can't say enough about the Marriott hotel or the staff working there.

The hotel is fine, yet your (Agoda's) booking service is the worst ever. I charged me the whole amount and when I reached the hotel, there was no booking with my name and they told me they are not dealing with Agoda as they are black listed. I tried to reach Agoda through phone & email, but with no reply on their side. You are Fraudulent & I'll not let things pass this way & I'll get my right back. Advice for everyone: Don't trust AGODA

We went during a high season yet we didn't feel any problems or ques , the hotel buildings are old style but from my opinion clean and maintained , The Jaz intervention in the hotel is quite obvious amazing food , amazing staff , high level animation i actually didn't have the chance to see the pool because the sea was crystal clear , clean and very safe special thanks to Osama the life guard for his dedication, Special thanks too to the head chief for the clean delicious food . Will be back next October after i give birth and planning for a 10 days thing isa

When we arrived we were upgraded to the apartments and they were exceptional, we had a large lounge with 32" TV with plenty of channels in a variety of languages sports, films, news etc. Seperate bedroom with TV, two air cons, seperate kitchen with kettle and microwave and a bathroom which had a good air dryer and a lovely large walk in shower. Towels and bedding were changed daily if required. We were B&B so only ate breakfast, they had a good choice of food and had an egg station where the chef cooked eggs as you liked them. Pool towels are provided and everywhere is clean and tidy. Hotel is convenient to the resturants and shops but the local shuttle buses, boats and tuk-tuk's are cheap if required.

We chose this hotel based on location and price. We stayed for five nights. Upon arrival there is a large lobby with plenty of seating and friendly helpful door staff. The young lady that checked us in was delightful...friendly and kind. We one room, with a King bed. it had a lovely view of the pool area and palm trees. It had a large balcony and was very quiet. The usual amenities adorned the room, coffee maker, mini bottles of decent shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion. food and service was good. We also ate two breakfasts in the main restaurant. . preferring a smaller meal they were kind enough to allow an order of a single egg and toast. Very personal service, the waiter kept visiting and calling us his family. :) We didn't see many young children at this hotel but I'm sure that changes based on time of year/week.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Ali Pasha. Lovely relaxed hotel in a marvellous position on the Marina close to restaurants , transport and Moods Beach. Room was small but fine for our stay with view of Marina. Always clean . Staff were efficient and friendly. Particular mention of Wasim on reception who was a treasure. He kept me on line everyday ! Thank you.

If you book with agoda and you are Egyptian you will pay extra charge, bad hotel in view of rooms and food very bad with low quality, they haven't any drinks on breakfast only water, any drinks with charge and in room there was no shampoo and little towel only 2 for 3 persons , if you revues Ted any thing you will wait over 2 hours Bad hotel in every thing except Agua park
