Pico de Loro (Cutad) Cove hotels & places to stay

we stayed there sept.20-22 2013, arrived late because of the heavy rains. but the tiredness gone when we reached the hotel, the place is great, they really present the greatness of nature..the attentive staffs made us feel at home with their hi and hellos..and the most that we couldnt forget in our entire life is how they cared about us..we check out sept.22 around 10 am, it was raining..were probably 10 kilometers away from Pico de Loro when when we stopped due to heavy rains,water over flowing on the roads, we were advised by other commuters to return because the roads were not passable..we asked somebody to inform the hotel that we`re stranded and asked for rescue. And about an hour of waiting they came with more than ten people to rescue us,pushed our car to passable road to drive again back to hotel. Then when we got back, they offer room for a short rest while our car sent to their motor pool for a check up. Really amazed the way they cared and helped us during that time i was almost panicked and didnt know what will happaned to us.. Two thumbs up !! promise to go back again if time permits ...God Bless Pico de Loro, Pico Sands Hotel and to all staffs !

We were upgraded to a 2Br Suite Jacana B 517 instead of 2 separate Condo units located in different buildings since we are 2 families. Our unit was big. The unit is Balinese type though looks a bit old since wallpaper in the sala is beginning to rip off. Kitchen light is dim so it's a bit hard to cook/prepare food. Kitchen drawers are a bit musty. The bathroom near the Master's bedroom has no water drain near the toilet only in the shower area. In the other bedroom, the bathroom has foul smell that's why I had to spray deodorizer specially that my children stayed in that room. The windows in the unit has no screen that's why mosquitoes or flies can go inside. Pillows provided for the beds and extra futons are limited that's why we had to use the throw pillows of the sofa. Overall, our stay was great since Pico de Loro has great amenities and facilities as well as surrounded by lush greenery. We also enjoyed the beach. I felt safe swimming with my family in the beach & pools since lifeguards were around. Staff are polite and the caretakers in our Condo unit easily responded to our needs. My kids even asked if we can extend more since our o-night stay was short. Maybe next time, we will stay longer so we can try the different amenities of Pico de Loro Clubhouse.

The condo we rented was nice but quite crowded for 4 adults so we ended getting a room at the Pico de Loro hotel. Also we did not expect that we needed to pay cash to the caretaker of the owner. Good thing I had cash. I thought I could pay when we checked in but what we had to pay was an entrance fee to the beach club for the use of the pool and beach. It was confusing. There is no atm machine inside the property so make sure you have enough cash to pay the rental of the condo. Had I known about this I could have made reservations with the hotel which offered discount for seniors and breakfast was included.

Pico de Loro is a fun and memorable place for a luxury vacation if you can afford it. Expensive entrance fee? Yes, one time P1,500 per adult during holiday season, but can be reasonable for long stay. In return, you get free shuttle, free air conditioned big clean shower room with unlimited premium quality shampoo and body wash gel, well maintained amenities and medium high profile visitors only.

After booking and paying at Agoda.com for room accommodation and paying more at the entrance gate of Pico de Loro at P1,200/head to use the facility was rather expensive and a surprise for us who were not informed. Basically, our room was clean. The facility of the resort was also clean & i like the large swimming pool, the only thing that i really enjoyed at in the facility.

I just wish I own a unit here. The unit we stayed in (Carola) was very neat, cozy, and clean. Except for some ants, which is ubiquitous during this time of the year, I coukdnt complain. The unit has everything you need, you will really feel home. This is one place you need to experience. The morning is almost perfect, probably one of the best morning experience I ever had. There’s a lot to do in the clubhouse, but being a nature lover, I preferred to jog, hike, and have some coffee on the balcony. And the smell of grass, wow. Perfect respite from the jungle called city. I will most likely return, with a bike. Highly recommended.

I stayed for one night in one condo room of pico de loro and I can say that it is a budget option than staying in a hotel if you are more than two persons who will stay. You can cook your food because they provide cooking utensil plus free drinking water. The condo is clean except that , I do not want the smell of the blanket. Despite of it, we enjoyed our vacation.

1BR : The unit has enough space than I expected. Aside from the bed which can fit 2 adults & 1 kid, there is the sofa with a pull out bed, theu have 2 extra bed also which you can find easily for extra guests. Complete with kitchen wares with dish washing liquid and fridge is functioning well. My only comment is the faucets hot water in the shower area is not working enough if I remember well. The blankets in the bed are also a little bit wet. But to be fair since it is peak season there is not much enough time to really clean the room from one guests to another. Nevertheless the condo unit meet all our needs during our stay. Another good point is you can contact/chat the owner easily and replies as soon as she can. The caretakes was also very polite. **** While pico de loro beach resort on the other hand I do not recommend for family with young children. The place is crowded maybe becuase its peak season but I thought they are very strict so they should do crowd control. The place is not that clean also. It is expensive enough to pay for the rent in a condo unit plus guest fee so they should meet the expectation of the guests. The food is pricey yet not delicious. And bring gym/running outfit or play at the sports area or else you will really get bored.

I've been to Pico de Loro on a company team building 4 years ago and I wanted my wife to experience the place so we planned an overnight stay for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We had a choice between staying at the Pico Sands Hotel and avail of the honeymoon package or the Condotel with discounted rate from Agoda. The honeymoon package included free breakfast, massage and no entry fee. The condotel required entry fees per head which covered the use of swimming pool and the beach. But it had a full-kitchen so you could bring food and drinks. After doing the math, the condotel turned out less expensive but not so much. We figured we didn't really want the free massage and we were not really big breakfast eaters. Our priority was to have a nice dinner at any of the hotel restaurants and would manage our other meals with our packed food. So the verdict easily went to the Condotel. And the unit caretaker was very prompt and efficient!

Overall experience in this unit has been awful for the following reasons: 1. Coordination with the owner has been a pain. Response time to queries take so long. I kept on following up on what we need to do up to the morning we were supposed to travel. I only got instructions and permits on the day of my stay! Traveling with senior citizens who like to plan ahead did not help. It would have been great if the owner has a back-up coordinator if she is traveling abroad so that customers don’t adjust to her schedule. 2. The beds were not very comfortable. Sofa bed may need some repair. 3. We’ve been lied at by the caretaker. She told us that we need to change room because the aircon on the other floor wasn’t working. Little did she know that we were informed by the coordinators at the gate that the unit previously assigned to us has been occupied by another tenant earlier. 4. The price of the unit was a bit expensive. We got another unit for 2K less.

The paints in the wall is peeling off- all over the unit. The place is big enough. However, the unit is not well maintained as there is no hot water ( shower ) because the hot and cold unit is broken. However, Pico de lord's beach and pool activities will compensate. Although Pico de Loro is a bit run down, the activities are worth it. I would also like to commend the waiter in the restaurant by the poolside, Mr John Paul Santos. We arrived to have lunch at the busiest time ( it was a holiday ), and even though we waited a bit, Mr John Paul politely informed us that we will have to wait as it is busy,and he offered us something to nibble from the buffet. It was a great gesture as it made us less impatient in waiting. The food was great when it arrived. And i left my phone at the restaurant at lunch and found out only i left it there in our table at 9 pm. We went back and the staff are so honest, they gave my phone to lost and found, and i got it back. Kudos to honest staff!

We were not assisted by the caretaker, she just told us to go straight to our room bec it’s open, we had other concerns but she did not attend to it, the unit has busted lights making it darker, The bedsheets/comforters have too many stains and not sure if it’s clean, we did not see the value for our money, there was also 2 TV where 1 TV cannot be used because there was no cable channel (it cannonly be used if you brought a DVD), there was also no hot water in the showers (we have 2 kids who have coughs and cold and cold shower is not good for them, we brought them to the clubhouse tomtake a bath, imagine the hassle we had to go through bringing the kids stuff). I will send an email for a more detailed info. We want a refund for this.
