Onna hotels & places to stay

This is a great place to stay in Okinawa. As the hotel is located in Onna, central part of Okinawa, so we explored the northern and central part of the main island. Rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the bathroom! Highly recommend the wide range of food offered in buffet breakfast. In any case, there is not much choice for brekkie outside the hotel. Enjoyed the nightly light show in the hotel atrium. There is also a really nice indoor pool filled with fish and other sea creatures. Probably the only gripe I have is that there are charges for hotel parking which does not make much sense since we are staying guests.

We started our Okinawa trip with having Rizzan as the first hotel to stay , which allowed us to travel around the Onna and Okinawa city area within a reasonable distance. Standing next to the seaside, the hotel offers great views and we especially enjoyed the local pub inside the hotel right nx to the beach. Breakfast was great. The only drawback is the amount of tour groups that were staying in the hotel at the same time that made our stay not 100% romantic. We stayed there for 2 nites and we feel that it's just right.

It's a small simple resort hotel connected directly to Onna Beach. The beach is not excellent but quiet where you may really enjoy swimming and snorkelling any time. The rooms are well furnished and have seaview. The restaurant offers quality breakfast and dinner at very reasonable price. The hotel is an easy reach to all attractions in Onna area. An excellent place to relax and enjoy.

The location is good with a private beach and beautiful sea view. Big parking lot for your car. Main building is old, and Annex building is older, I think. We booked 2 rooms and stayed in Annex building. The lobby is small, but looks OK. The first 2 rooms we got have nice layout with 2 beds and Tatami mat area, but have bad cigarette smell and carpet smell. For us who don't smoke, we cannot stay in those rooms. So we went down to the lobby and ask the hotel staff to change rooms for us. The girl was very nice, even she could speak only a few English words, but she tried hard to help us. She shown us 2 other rooms. There was some smell, but a lot better than the first 2 rooms and beautiful sea view. Good and large public bath (onsen) in both buildings. I loved it. They don't provide towel, we had to it down from our room. We had buffet breakfast next morning in hotel's restaurant with nice sea view, but a male staff acted like he didn't want to service anyone, no smile no greeting. :(

This hotel has a couple of private beaches where you can enjoy the sunset peacefully. Having been to 5* resorts with private beach in Bali & Greek,This beach goes to the top list, amaZingly clean and serene! In the main gate there is Lawson to provide you with whatever food/daily things you need. The hospitality is great, they work with attitude and will go above and beyond to help you amidst the lost in translation. Our tod is happy running around as they provide toys in the swimming pool, breakfast restaurant, and kids corner in the hotel

This hotel (hostel?) located around Onna Beaches, it was easily to get to beach and to have scubadiving, or any sea activities. It was a good location for the one who drove, at the middle of the island. It was the best brief stop for who were going to have plan around Onna and Nago. The place was very very clean, but the shower room is too small. To a person like my brother who is almost like 110kg, it is hard to turn around when taking shower XDDDD. Any though, THUMB UP!

Although many facilities were looking old, most of them could fulfill customer's need. Personal tools and hairdryer could be found in-room. There were swimming pool, gym room and car parking free for customers. The restaurant is located in high floor with perfect seaview and tasty food in breakfast. The location of the hotel is great. You will easy to reach any sights in Onna and Nago and especially good for travellers with car. Unless you were hurry to the airport in the morning, you are always encouraged to book this hotel. Otherwise, you are suggested to live in Naha rather than Onna. The only disappointed was the dirty carpet. There were several stains but I don't think It could be solve shortly.

It's a great experience spending Christmas time at Renaissance Okinawa. The room is clean and spacious with excellent seaview. We are greeted by very polite staffs whereever we go and the staffs are trying their best to provide service to us and being helpful where possible. My husband and I enjoy the food at the Japanese restaurant a lot, it is a fantastic experience at reasonable price. We are particularly happy to join the dolphin program in the morning during the winter time. We had the chance to interact with the Dolphins by giving instruction to them. The staffs are being very friendly and able to clearly explain the instruction to us in English. We will definitely come back for another stay during summer soon to try out more water activities. We have a great time at Renaissance Okinawa and highly recommend it to our friends and family.

The hotel room with sea views is absolutely amazing. From the massive size of the room, its amenities and luxurious toiletries, bathrobes and towels are superb. I can’t fault it. The only let down in this hotel is the lack of food choices. If you have a car then you may be okay to get to other eateries. Most of the restaurants are located in the sister hotel Kariyushi and does not have enough options for casual dinner. Luckily we were able to walk over to the Marriott Hotel (20 mins uphill) and have dinner at their cafe style restaurant with simple yet delicious options. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for their facilities and service even though staff have very limited English, and limited food options but will ensure to have a car next time. Also ensure to purchase the breakfast options. The breakfast is again absolutely amazing with so much options and most mains changes every day.

Stayed with my wife and 2 kids (1&4) for 2 nights and had a good time. The room had 2 queen beds, so plenty of room. The whole thing was clean and the staff was polite as you can find almost everywhere in JP. The breakfast is simple but ok. We have walked to the beach for picnic dinner and had great family time looking at the stars. TV has only 5 local channels. Parking in front of the building for 500 per night.

I got lucky to find this place. A lot of lodging here in Okinawa cost. This was cheaper than I imagined. Once I got to the room I was amazed at the over style, and the layout of the hotel itself. The staff was very friendly. It will cost you 500 yen a day to park but it is well worth it. There is plenty to do with in 15-20 minutes (maybe less) driving and the beach is just down the hill about 10 minute walk. Highly recommended.

We came in a group of 5. The condominium is clean and comfortable. All the three rooms are in the ground floor. There is also a shower room and a toilet on the ground floor. Second floor was the living room with open kitchen. There is another bathroom and toilet on the second floor. The Jacuzzi is on the balcony on the second floor. We didn't have the leisure to use the jacuzzi this time. All the rooms and facilities provided are clean and in good condition. Location was clearly informed by the host, we had no problem finding the location. From airport, we drove our own car there in about 50 mins. Thank you Host for the great condominium, my friends and I had a wonderful time gathering, catching up and enjoyed okinawa there.

The hotel is situated at a magnificent area - Seragaki Island. There are two proprietary beaches, well suitable for family sunbath and swim in sea water; in addition the hotel has Lagoon, as well as a huge outdoor and general indoor pool - these are awesome. The sea view room has one of the best ocean view in Okinawa - able to see sunset, and just facing the ocean with no artificial construction. Just sit in the balcony for whole day is sufficient to give a relaxing time. As a regular runner, there are a few courses to do 5K, 10K and 21K. Car parking facility is 5min walk away from the main hotel building. Love the walking.

Price was good, service, room were all good. Only problem is finding the hotel place is very difficult. I got a map code from google but, it was not specific. so got a tel number from google again to find the exact place. however phone number I got from google was wrong, so I went to Okinawa city hall which was far far away from this hotel. wasted a day to find this hotel. except for the location, rest thing was all good. Especially, liked tatami room. Using tatami room takes a cost usually but this hotel is affordable.

The house is very clean and well equipped with most of the things you need as a traveller. The host, Tom is very friendly and helpful. The house is centrally located in Okinawa with most major attractions within a 1 hour and 15 minutes drive, no matter you are going south to shopping or north to sight seeing. The only thing that we do not like so much about are all the beds are very soft. There is nothing wrong with the beds, just the mattress are the soft type instead of the firm type we used to. The neigbourhood is quiet and most residence (including Tom and his wife) are in bed by 10 pm already so we have to keep quiet every night when we returned to the house. Otherwise, it is absolutely worth the money we pay. In addition, there is a very good restaurant nearby which is only 7 minutes by drive. In fact they offer the best BBQ we had tried in Okinawa.

The Moon Beach Palace is a hotel within the Moon Beach Hotel. It seems to be a slightly higher-end section of the Moon Beach, but has a separate front desk, located on the third floor of the Moon Beach. Yes it's strange. It's all one building—there's no difference from the outside of the rooms. But inside, the rooms are a little larger. Ours had a small kitchen area with fridge and range, and a small couch. Our friends were in the Moon Beach, and their room was smaller. Both were comfortable. Restaurants are expensive and have restricted hours, but there are good restaurants a very short walk away. If you want pretty good ocean swimming/snorkeling, walk up the coast to the right a short distance, or follow the small paths down from the back of the mini-golf. There are concrete stairs that lead down to a beautiful patch of quiet ocean, where you'll see lots of fish and sea creatures in peace and without lifeguards and resort rules. For calm sea swimming only.

I'm not sure whether the owner can maintain communication in English or not, but the very good thing is, he picked me up from the nearest bus stop. Tourists can also reach this minshuku in around 30 minutes walk from the nearest bus station. The room is spacious and clean, comfortable for two persons. I was pretty lucky that the owner's lady gave me Okinawan homemade dish because I met her at the shared kitchen when I was about to warm my instant dinner. The last day, the owner was not able to drop me back to the bus station, but instead, his father dropped me back. I will definitely stay there again at the time I visit Onna Village.

Solo traveller to Onna. The first time of staying in local hostel, do have surprise to me. The hostel is close to road, extremely clean inside, all public bathroom & washroom are great in hygiene. Hostel owner is really nice, he helped me to book for taxi on my early departure to Blue Cave dive. & surprised me, since he got up at 6am to help me up with my ride, telling taxi driver my destination. Hostel owner introduced me a great local restaurant, which a great food & traditional live performance. If you are not asking a sea view in onna, Ken Hostel is a best choice for budget travel.

I LOVE this place, the photos don't do the place justice. It's comfortable and roomy, so much so that I FORGOT that japan has small hotel rooms. It's the best value I've ever got for such a beautiful place. The owner furnished as if they were staying there themselves. Every room (corridor, toilet, balcony) has door to separate from the bedroom. The bathroom has a large window facing the beach. Place is pretty high-tech, the bath has a control to maintan the water temperature. Toilet is sterilised by sensor with spray and UV light. Bed is super comfortable, good for back. Love how the light comes in the day. It's a 13 min walk from Kuraha bus stop if you're taking bus. It's a 6-10 min walk to Cape Maeda for diving meeting point. Along the way you will find many dive shops. They were also kind enough to let me extend my checkout time as I had a dive in the morning.
