    “Fantastic hotel for families with young children”

    Surpassed my expectations! Better than some other hotel that cost way more than what I paid for lakehouse. I have 2 young children and they thoroughly enjoy their stay here. Free excess to their indoor playground fir guests who stayed here. And the playgrounds were so well maintained! Staff were helpful as well. Room wise was great. Super clean and beds were all comfy as well. Really loved our stay here 👍👍👍👍👍

    “Unexpected family fun”

    We had just came back from Yilan Silk Palace but kids are leaving soon so wanted to find a place close to Taichung for them to spend time with their grandparents. I picked this place because it is just a little over an hour away from Taichung. Looks like a good number of children activities. And the cost. I am quite surprised by this hotel. I'll start with one callout: There is no heat in the building so no central air in rooms. This is not a big deal at all, actually. They brought us. space heater and that worked fine for the kids. What wasn't obvious was how system works. We set the thermostat to 23C but it continues to pump cold air into the room even though the room is like 19C. I'd expect it to just stop but it keeps pumping cold air. We'd need to "turn it off". And I think it turns on again when you return to the room so need to remember to turn it off. Once off, we actually didn't even need the space heater. Just a weird or flawed design. Otherwise: Location/Surroundings - Compared to Silk Palace, this hotel is more away from the busy streets but still easy to get to. Across from is a lake that is very walkable. The lake is nice. You can rent a paddleboat. We were there in Jan and the weather was pleasant. This is a nice plus so you'd want to spend time outside also. Staff - Friendly and attentive! Kid activities - There are scheduled group activities and classes. And of course indoor playgrounds and plenty of toys. The toy car/scooter rides are just enough for my kids and they loved it. They can spend whole time there. The equipments are safe. We can leave my 2 and 3 year olds and let them run around. It's not the scale of Silk Palace but definitely enough for young kids. Pool - I like the pool. I wished I had used it more. There's sauna. Pools are all indoors and good size heated pools. Even a kids pool with slides, which Silk Palace doesn't even have. One thing is the "jet beds" in the pool are yellow. I'm sure they're clean but looks bad. Facilities - There is "business space" which I utilized a lot to work. One huge gripe is they set the AC crazy strong. I work in the middle of the night and I had to go outside to get warm. Food - I was there with my 2 young kids and my 2 elder parents so didn't want to bother with dining in the restaurants.

    “Excellent resort in the area! ”

    Stayed here for 2 nights in the family room with a upstair level. Location - very good. Around 10mins drive to closest city center. Within walking distance there’s Family Mart, 7-11, local pharmacy, small Carrefour (10mins walking distance). If you drive, parking is included. Rooms - as mentioned, I stayed in the family room. Very spacious and clean. Complimentary water and a can drink or two. Free WiFi. Outside the room, there’s a drink machine (free). Facilities - excellent if you have kids. The hotel partner/cooperate with a leisure center within the building. Inside there’s a gym, swimming pool, sauna, 2-3 playrooms for kids and if your kids understand Mandarin, they have different arts/crafts classes for them to learn (pay extra). The others such as gym and playroom are free for hotel guests. Therefore I believe during weekends and holidays, it’s going to be very packed/busy with kids and families. For swimming, they require you wear swimming caps, so bring your own if you have at home, to avoid buying one or two. The playrooms, gym and swimming pool opening hours (8:30am-10pm), pls confirm with the hotel for the most updated. Food - the Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the hotel was fairly decent. Not that overprice. Otherwise Uber Eats will be available for delivery if you wish. Did not try the breakfast. Overall surprisingly very nice hotel and a great way where both adults and children can enjoy the facilities.

    “Will be back”

    Loved the two toilets one bath in the duplex room. Room is clean, spacious and comfy. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We stayed when the hotel was undergoing electrical maintenance and they ensured our inconvenience was minimized. Wide breakfast spread but nothing outstanding. Kids loved the heated indoor pool (great for winter) and all its jacuzzi functions but got bored at the kids club after 2 nights. Small gym with dumbbells only up to 10kg. Machines were rusty but serviceable. All in all, there’s something for the family and we won’t hesitate to return.

    We had a great stay at Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu, though we were a little taken aback by the crowd checking into the hotel. There was only 2 lifts and hence we had to wait for a while but all was good once the crowd cleared. There is a massive play area for the children at B1, which includes kids rides, ball pits and an indoor playground. It opened all the way till 10pm. Breakfast was great too, which had a good selection. My boys love the hot chocolate topped with marshmallow! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will be back again.
