I had a truly awesome stay at La Jolla. From the moment we arrived, the reception area was welcoming with a refreshing lemongrass drink. Provided with a fine dining menu available at the left side of the reception together with cafe plus pasalubongs that was presented well. There are active shuttle services as well that made everything convenient from going from & to facilities. The villa itself was spacious, with a large room and bathroom (excluding the bathtub). The water heater worked amazingly, and the terrace outside the sliding transparent door was a nice spot to sightsee & relax. Complimentary essentials included 2 bottles of water, 2 coffee sachets, and 2 yellow teas. However, the bed creaks when moving around, which was a minor downside. The resort’s facilities were impressive—three swimming pools, go-karts, bike rentals, basketball and tennis courts, large playgrounds, and a vast area with hills perfect for jogging and team-building activities. The wide beach area was great for strolling, with almost white sand and a clean shoreline. There were plenty of cottages for rent, and various water activities like kayaking, paddling, jet skiing, and banana boating. The beach bar and snack area offered delicious food and drinks, though a bit pricey. The staff was friendly, lively, and encouraging, making the experience even better. The Filipino buffet breakfast (6 AM - 10 AM) was warm, healthy, and delicious. Check-in and checkout were quick and hassle-free. The travel from Bagac, Bataan, was definitely worth it! Would highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

I booked a room (superior w/loft) and of course im so excited.But when we get there to out room its so marumi,walang tubig from the shower mabajo ang room and the floor is so sticky. So i called the staff and hindi nako makapagpalinis ng room kasi asawa ko nakahiga na.kaya ako na naglinis ng kwarto namin and gave me a black mop na ilang yrs na ata di nakukuskos😅🤦♀️ sorry po..di ko lang expected na sa napakagandang place na ang cleaning materials nila is sobrang dumi and walis nila omg🤦♀️😅 anyway we enjoyed naman even ang bumulaga sa akin pagdating na pagdating is maruming kwarto.

I booked a Junior Suite Room for a family of 4, and it was the highlight of our trip. The room was so spacious, might even accommodate up to 6 ppl. Other than that, nothing amazed us. I've read good reviews about the resort, but I was quite disappointed when I experienced it firsthand. It's still nothing compared to Anvaya Cove Bataan, Anya Resort in Tagaytay or Highland Bali in Nueva Ecija. PROS: 1.) Whole body massage was 10/10. I slept the whole time!! 2.) The rooms/suites were fantastic! Fresh linens and comfy bed. 3.) Most of the staff were nice and approachable, but... kindly refer to below concerns CONS: 1.) The day of our arrival, there was an unexpected rainstorm. Guests flocked in the lobby, and the area's floor was dripping wet since they did not anticipate the bad weather. The staff were noticeably panicking. They were kind and approachable, yes, but I don't know how they call it a "Luxury Resort" when no one assisted my Mom after parking our car, carried two bags with her, just because maybe the shuttle driver didn't want to get wet too. Lol and guess what, mom entered our room dripping wet, with a mad fiery face. She used to be so kind to them people, giving big tips, but was different this time around. 2.) The infinity pool by the beach was not too clean. Not to mention the CR/shower area! Leaves were scattered on the floor, plus there was no light. 3.) The food in Bamboo Plate was average. Some were good, some were not. They served us spoiled eggplants for salad haha. Few choices for breakfast from the other restaurant too. 4.) It's a huge room for 4, there was a dining table but there were no extra plates inside, and there were only 2 glasses in case you need to drink water lol I asked for spoons and forks but the resto staff asked us to pay corkage fee for my mom's birthday cake that we bought from Manila. My golly, i have been to other prime resorts and they would even give complimentary cake to celebrants, but this resort was an exception. 5.) The check-in and check-out process were terrible. Some guests who saw me confront a staff even agreed. Mind you, they even let one guest behind me check out first even if I came first, just because I still need to settle the room charges we incurred from the spa and restaurant. Slow as a turtle. I can't even see orderliness among the staff. Shouldn't the process be just smooth since you are a luxury resort? The management and staff need to do training again to improve. 6.) There's no complimentary shampoo in the bathroom, only body wash and oral care kit. The water in the shower was only warm and hot, lol. 7.) The shuttle service was not the typical modern shuttle ride you can see from other luxury resorts. But it's still cute though. 8.) I didn't see a lifeguard near the beach, there's one in the infinity pool, distributing towels to guests.. also parts of the beach were not too clean as well. 9.) There's no elevator going up to our room in the 2nd floor. Too much of a hassle esp when you've brought a pile of luggage. 10.) At the Spa, massage is highly recommended but do not avail their Wax procedure for hair removal.. Huge regret. They assigned a newbie to do my procedure. And the wax they used was not as premium as I expected. 11.) To top it all off, I don't think the amount I've paid for this resort was worth it. Maybe if it's just below ₱10k, then I'll probably reconsider booking again but no, not anymore.

Nothing is perfect, but I still recommend La jolla resort. We will definitely go back here. Listed and rated some items and hoping for improvement next time we visit here. Facilities - 4/5 - Overall place is clean. Kids enjoyed the playground areas. - They offered lots of activities but with limited time. Most of it from 8am to 5pm only. - Maybe next time try to extend hours to use your playground/courts/gaming rooms etc. - Registration/Front desk is not comfortable for waiting check-in/out guests. Considering summer season and very humid in bataan, it's really hot waiting on your registration area. Rooms - 4/5 - Room is clean and spacious, stable internet and cable tv. - Little bit of hassle because we need to carry/bring our bags from/to registraton or parking area. Shuttle is available for pick and drop but we prefer to walk since our room is few meters away from parking area. Pick/drop using your car is not allowed inside their villas. - Rooms not 100% quiet. You will still hear noisy guests from other rooms. Food - 3/5 CAFE - Ordered twice. Tried espresso based iced caramel macchiato and choco hazelnet. Not worth the price. Too sweet, too much milk and ice. Bfast - Normal buffet, nothing special. Lunch - Tried their adobo, sisig, pakbet w/ bagnet. So far so good. Pricey, nothing special. Dinner - Tried their club house chicken/bacon with cheese and carbonara. Carbonara is good. Club house sandwiches too salty chicken and bacon. Staff - 5/5 - All approachable and always willing to assist. Pools - 4/5 - - Nothing special, but we most enjoyed the main pool area. - There's a limited access to pools. Main pool - 8am to 6pm Infinity pool - 8am to 8pm Villa pool - 8am to 10pm Beach - 4/5 - Beautiful and scenic beach. - Swimming allowed until 6pm only. For safety reasons, they only allowed to swim inside their floating fence. This is to prevent live sea creatures like stone fish or boxer jelly fish to enter the swimming area.
