This is my first time at this hotel. The room was spacious and very very clean. I opt for King size bed as i brought my 2 kids. the room was perfect and hardly for me to complaint. The kids 6 and 1 year old can play around in room. The carpet in the room is thick and realy love it. Bathroom also spacious and my kids love it. Recommend the room facing the river so you can enjoy nice view at night. Restaurant nearby beside( the hotel forgot the name )offered excellent food like laksa nasi goreng and cendol and the price is very reasonable. Just opposite the hotel you can rent a bicycle and enjoy cycling within the vicinity. Lastly, the staff also great and being so helpful. very professionals and did their best. I want to mention few names here MR JASPAL, MR SUBRA and MR ALIF these guys doing great job and i think the management should know on their effort. Will come again

We booked a deluxe quad with a queen and 2 super single beds. The check in was smooth, wifi was good, beds were comfortable, room is of a good size and clean, flat screen tv and usb plug for charging phone, hair drier and even iron and ironing board. The hotel is near Little India and the famed Concubine street. The parking lots are limited but the staff were helpful and try their best to squeeze you in. The management even installed an electronic "stacker" to raise cars to the top to free the space below. Recommend this hotel.

This hotel located strategically in Ipoh new town area, near to famous dimsum restaurants street and famous tauge ayam restaurants. Hotel also quite near to Ipoh parade Mall, just 10 minutes walk. To reach the old town, we need about 15-20 minutes walk, but quite comfortable because weather in Ipoh was quite nice. Hotel room, both bedroom and bathroom was quite spacious, they provide quite complete amenities, lightning in both room also satisfying. Staff also polite and overall I really satisfied with this hotel.

I am a returning guest. I usually stay at standard room but as I travelled with my family this round, I decided to try out their Double Queen Deluxe at signature floor. I really made the right choice. I stayed at room 286. The room was clean and spacious. First glance of the room, it gave me a "HOMEY" feel. I particularly prefer the wording "When We Love Is Home" on the wall. Nice design. Water kettle with 4 cups and teaspoons are provided. Ample of mineral waters was given with no extra costs. To our surprise, we were given a basket of apples and few packets of instant white coffees. Rain shower was great. Room lightning was good. Staffs are in good manner and cheerful. Basement parking with security guard. The well known "Restoran Pusing Public" is right opposite the hotel with great seafood dishes. There is a mamak restaurant called "Bukhara" right behind the hotel. The Maggie Goreng with telur mata is a must try dish!! Movida Bistro is just beside the hotel. We were given Movida refreshment voucher with complimentary cakes and drinks for two persons. I like their sambal prawn pizza. There are KFC, Pizza Hut, 7-11, Watson and The Store shopping mall located within walking distance. Just walk across a carpark lot in front of the hotel. Overall, it's worth the value for the room, location and facilities provided. Pi Hotel will definitely be my choice of accommodation in Ipoh.

I was surprised at how centrally located the hotel was. Pub street was just behind, far enough so you don't hear the loud music from your room, but close enough to just take a 2 minute stroll to some of the best nightspots in town. It was also relatively near to a lot of the famous food shops. Two of the best dim sum in town are just a 4-minute walk away, perfect way to start your day. We took the triple room, and there was even a balcony. And the bathroom was so huge. Free drinking water too, just bring your own bottle down to the lobby to fill up. Also they had several reserved parking spots for guests at the back of the hotel, perfect if you are driving and do not want to pay for public parking by the roadside. I would really recommend this hotel, especially for other Malaysians making a short trip to Ipoh.

Cosy space for couple ... location perfect which near to the MING Kok dim sum restaurant... can walk to the Lao Wong tauge chicken shop too ... it around 1.1km away from the hotel... good cleanliness and friendly staff... I reached around 2pm and the staff allow us to check in ... good service 😉 the limitation is the parking area... less parking place ... overall good and satisfactory 👍

Ipoh Downtown hotel is within walking distance to Ipoh Parade, Tong Sui Street, Tauge Ayam Lou Wong, famous kaya puffs Sin Eng Heong, Ming Court Hong Kong Tim Sum, Restoran Foh San Sdn Bhd, Restoran Yoke Fook Moon Snd Bhd and alot of other eateries & food courts. This hotel is clean and the executive room is spacious with a King Size Bed and the ladies at the reception area is helpful and friendly.

On first entrance into the hotel it was shocking..... a small space to the lift (with a man manning the entrance)...as the reception was on the 1st.floor....the reception was a small corner manned by 1 person with a small lounge area. But, he was very efficient and then it's next to our rooms....Wow! What a pleasant surprise! The corridors are clean and nice and on entering our rooms we were surprised to see the cleanliness of our rooms. Big bath rooms/toilets....Flat TV, kettle with cups and saucers, instan coffee, free bottled water, comfortable beds and pillows and clean thick towels. The rates were cheap for all these. Location of the hotel in old Ipoh city is good.

I had a bit of a hiccup checking in - looked like my payment didn't go through in their system (I booked through Agoda but it was showing Booking.com) so I just had to confirm that I didn't pay and paid upon my arrival. The rooms were very clean and just what anyone needs when traveling for just a few days. Otherwise, the staff was incredibly accommodating and SO kind. One of the staff members let me borrow his personal iPhone charger when I realized I forgot my adapter for the outlets. Then unfortunately, I was mugged walking down the street in a bad neighborhood and (who I believe was) the owner of the hotel came to find me at the police station to be by my side and help if needed. He also changed my room (upgraded nonetheless) since the robber had my hotel key. I will be forever grateful to this hotel and their staff, as they made me feel so very much at home at a time that I was wishing I was not in this city at all. Thank you very much Brick Box!!

I mentioned the three best things and the three worst were, 1 There was an ant problem in the room, 2 there was a problem with the phone system so we were constantly getting incoming calls, booking enquiries etc! 3 on our last nights stay there were hoons treating the street outside like a drag strip, very noisy!! But having said that I would recommend and would use the hotel again myself.

If you are looking for a simple, cost-effective place to stay with basic facilities (like place to rest/bath) for a night or 2, this is a good recommendation. This is not a luxury hotel but provide good services for basic hospitality needs. Pros: - Walk over the street abt 100meters to "Tong Sui Kai" for full range of street food. - Famous eateries like "Low Wong" bean sprout chicken, Funny Mountain soya bean, Salted Chicken all at walkable distance. - Big shopping center AEON is just 5min walk away. - Ample private car park for abt 10+ cars. - Hotel provide water kettle if you ask them. Take note this is classic hotel (80's feel) with basic facilities. Don't compare with 3-5 stars hotel. Wifi available but signal low at corner rooms. Good for its price & location. Recommended for just a quick stop for a night or two.

I arrived at the hotel around 230 am in the morning after making last minute booking and there was no one waited for me at the reception. I made calls to the number provided in the booking voucher twice and the staff came down with sleepy face. The best thing was, he had given me great service despite his sleep was disturbed. This was my very first time staying at the hotel and experiencing such great customer service left me nothing but satisfaction! I even made a great review bout this hotel over my social media - of the staff, the bed and even the toilet! I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who travels alone or with group. ;)

The toilet of 1st floor is what they shown but it was totally different for the 2nd floor, not as nice as what I thought. There is only 1 hair dryer in the hotel and the sound system is bad. You can hear every little sound from next door and the parking is quite dangerous as the garage is in a back street although the receptionist wait for us until we got into hotel after parking. But so far so good but not recommend for elder to stay as they have to use stairs.

excellent hotel! we already have lived here for five days. staff are so friendly and always give us good advice. This room is the most biggest room we live and the cheapest as well. Even the location is in old town so you have to walk to city 10-15mins. If you have limited budget and enough time, I really recommend you stay here! air conditioning is good, space is big, room is clean. price is affordable. it's really nice hotel! And it's easy get Uber or Grab. so don't worry about transportation. 😁
