this is I think the best hotel I have been to. Everything about it is perfect if you are looking for calm, peaceful holiday. The staff is simply amazing, always looking that you have what you need with great professionalism. Always ahead of your needs: waiting for you outside your door the day of check out to carry your luggage, proposing that a member of staff comes with you to the hospital to translate, etc etc. The food at the restaurant is really good. the breakfast is amazing +free homemade snacks everyday in the afternoon, free water, tea, coffee and bread all day long, free kayak, snorkeling material, The beach is simply amazing, making you dive straight into the postcard! The hotel only has like 15 private bungalows. The hotel was full when we were there and yet, always the impression that there are only 5 ou 6 people in the hotel ! I recommend the Pool Villa because it adds privacy to your holiday, making you feel right at home and alone with private little swimming pool and 1st floor outdoor living room to stand in the sun ou read a book in the hamac. Thank you to Alek the bartender for his fabulous signature cocktails, and his nice evening chats! I hope that I will come again, and will recommend this hotel to my friends and family if they want to go to thailand!!!

We spent 3 nights at the Koh Kood Beach Resort, and we loved every minute of it. There aren't too many rooms, so it's not crowded and every room is afforded a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms themselves are quite basic - bed, fridge, TV and an outside bathroom, which is cool for looking at the stars, but not so good if you don't like dealing with creepy-crawlies in the middle of the night. The staff at Koh Kood Beach Resort are excellent! They are friendly and helpful - they can also arrange for a trip to the waterfall in the area, which is cheap and definitely worth a look (the nicest waterfall I have seen so far in Thailand) The beach is so-so, but if you have the energy, a 20 minute (free)kayak ride will get you to a true 'paradise beach' - no rocks, no little jellyfish, no rubbish - just soft white sand and crystal clear water (you'll have it all to yourself if you go early enough!) My 8 year old son loved the swimming pool, which ranges from very shallow to 2 metres, so you must supervise kids, but it's clean and overlooks the ocean. Lastly, I'll mention the restaurant. The food in the hotel is fantastic! A word of warning - there are, at the moment of writing, no ATMs on Koh Kood, so make sure you take plenty of cash! I'd say that Koh Kood is like a lot of places in Thailand used to be like 10-15 years ago... Great!

Stayed at Koh Kooh Garden for two nights. This is a great location away from the main strip, we rented a scooter from the hotel. It's about a 10 min drive to the main strip. We liked that it was away from the busy-ness of the main street; less traffic and other tourists around. Staff is very friendly, cheerful and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner here and both meals were very good. The resort does not have a private beach but there is an elevated common area with patio chairs that overlooks the road and a garden. Air conditioning works and they provide a drying rack for you on your balcony. The staff helped us arrange the taxi to our ferry on our departure date.

Beautiful little bamboo huts with air conditioning and all the comforts of home available in a little piece of Eden. A great place to escape from the world and remember what stars look like in the sky, and what birds and crickets sound like at night. I truly enjoyed my stay under the care of the hands on owner, Ms Pinthip and her trusty assistant Ms. Lek. Home cooked breakfast every day, home cooked Thai meals on request. A fridge for personal food and drinks with every room and great strong wi-fi. I’ll be back. Again and again.
