"To me, this is the best hotel in Ipoh. the quality is tip top. nice rooms - modern concept. fantastic breakfast. best swimming pool. fantastic breakfast. and nice nightlife. because theres a beautiful night life across the hotel. just a 1-2min walk.
I totally recommend this hotel to everyone who planning to stay in Ipoh.
But i recommend the staff to improve more on their hospitality. And the most important is the management should consider to change the amenities. seriously, the shampoo,lotion and body wash are so terrible. it is not usable at all. that my whole family needs to buy these from outside. because the amenities provided are so useless. "

"Close to the Railway station.
Took ets from Kl Sentral to Ipoh.
Walked about 600metres from the train station to Cititel Express.
It's a basic hotel.
Stayed one night here.
Walking distance to the Gerbang Malam night market.
Explored nearby eatery like the " Miker" restaurant across the Ipoh club field.
And few other eating place.
Could observed the British Colonial buildings such as the Royal Ipoh Club, the High Court and the Magistrate Court also the Railway station itself.

"We stayed in Majestic Room, when we arrived we were quite surprise with the space, they have a big common room to hang out and a huge balcony(common space) to chill, everything is very style and neat.
But the best is their staffs, very friendly and helpful.
We rented 2 bikes from the homestay and drove for 30-45 mins then one of the bike had flat tire and it was raining. They helped us to collect it later, we just locked the bikes on the street safely for them to collect so we could continue our exploration in Ipoh, and they even refund your bike rental money.
Superior!! Thank Brownstone to help us has nice mêmories in Ipoh ❤️"

"1st time stay in pi hotel. Fast check in and friendly staff. Only 3 things Im not satisfied was the room they gave me "810" have some problems - basin's mixer spoil with only hot water supply cause me brush teeth half way have to go into the shower area use the shower mixer. 2nd the body shampoo machine was out of service when I bath half way...damn! Cause me have to make a phone call ask them send me bath gel with a paper cup to my room and im on the middle of the bath! 3rd was the roon overall look like clean but actually have a lot of dust because i have a very sensitive nose. But at the end the staff shift me to another new room at "319" and thanks god everything was fine after shift into new room so just forgive them. The next morning when I woke up I leave a msg at reception counter ask them to do house keeping when I wanna go out, unfortunately during the night time when I back to my room the situation still same like morning without any house keeping. I purposely went down to reception to feedback and that time have 2chinese guys at reception and I dunno their name just can firgure out are "one fat, short with spec and another one is tall n thin". They talk nicely and good manner apologies with their miss out service. At the end this 2chinese guys still send me a room service for their sincerely apologies make feel so surprise and forget about the mad and happy to see the humble nice service. So definitely I will come back again when I visit ipoh. Thanks for the room service and keep it up. Hope to see the improvement when my next visit soon. Thanks
Oh ya, the hotel location very good because all the famous places and foods was just nearby and the best things I like is the hotel provides free car park with security for only guest. Reasonable price with not bad interior decor. This hotel also very good with provide the information with all nearby famous foods to convenience/easier guests from outstation to find the place. Good job!"

"Stayed with my elderly parents and we booked the family room which had a double bed and single bed. The rooms are new and modern, quite basic, but all that you would need. Room safe, fridge, fantastic shower with really hot water and option to use the "rain shower", aircon, hair dryer, TV, free wifi.
We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but just behind the hotel are 2 of the best dimsum restaurants in Ipoh, serving good local fare. There are other restaurants nearby for dinner and there is a new shopping mall at 5 mins walking distance. It's a 20 min walk to Ipoh Old Town.
The other good thing about the hotel was that they are affiliated with Ipoh Overland Tours and the hotel staff facilitated the tour bookings for day trips with your own driver to where you wanted to go. "

"It was my first time staying in Ipoh French Hotel, with a friend for sightseeing and a stop over for Cameron Highlands. Overall, I love this beautiful boutique hotel.
+ Location: Excellent & centrally located in Ipoh old town. Walking distance to The Store Supermarket, 7-Eleven convenient store, wet market, night market, Malay food courts (for Satays and other Malay cuisine), Lou Wong Chicken Rice, Funny Mountain Tau Fu Fa, fast food restaurants (Pizza Hut, KFC), Nam Heong Ipoh white coffee, Fu San Dim Sum & many good local food. Very quiet at night.
+ Hotel: Modern and tastefully decorated. Looks newly renovated. Cosy seating area in lobby. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. But check-in may take some time (maybe it's the pace of Ipoh lifestyle). Refundable deposit of RM100 is required. Safely guarded carpark is available (please get parking ticket from hotel staff during check-in). Free local food map is provided.
+ Jose & Deli (in-House Restaurant/ Deli) is very beautiful and decorated like an overseas deli and bar, which serves delicious coffee, tea and breakfast.
+ Room: Large cosy room with windows of Ipoh old town. Comfortable & clean beds, pillows & duvet. In-room amenities: refrigerator, hair dryer, two bottled waters & some teas/ coffees sachets, kettle to make coffee/ tea, LED/ LCD TV with limited channel. Fast WiFi service. Good lighting system in room.
+ Bathroom: Large and modern setup with rain-shower facility. Strong water pressure for a refreshing shower. Sanitary care: bath gel, shampoo, soaps & shower cap. Good-sized clean towels to use. Floor & hand towels are available. However, glass partition of bathroom to bedroom may disturb a good night sleep if partner goes toilet at night.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visit Ipoh. You would not be disappointed."
