This is our 3rd time stay in their Studio room since last December 2014. Previously was booked through directly from Hotel, but this time round the hotel rate slightly higher than Agoda (the staff told maybe because of GST). My family members are very satisfy with Weil hotel. We stayed with them when they are rated 3 star till 4 star currently. I think they should rate as 5 star hotel soon cos some of their facilities are still under construction! From the very first step of the hotel: Bellman, valet parking, check in, room, restaurant food (breakfast or dinner) till the last step of check out, I give 10/10!!! The performance of every staffs are doing the best to every guests, I think they should well trained before their serving! We are going Ipoh every month, for sure we will come back this hotel and never change!!! Besides, I also very expected to use their upcoming facilities!!! (THUMBS UP)

Having our anniversary celebration at golden roof hotel, mailed the hotel in advance and request for a special set up at our rooms. though our request will be rejected as this is not 5 star hotels, but it surprise me when the operator reply to our email and propose some option for us on how we want to decorate our room, with additional charges of course. But the outcome really surprise me. In love with the decoration and importantly its surprise my gf well. simply awesome.

It will be perfect if they have a swimming pool! Stayed at this hotel a number of times in the last 10 over years. The transformation is outstanding! From a dingy old hotel, it's now a modern, clean and impressive hotel! The interior design is extremely pleasing as well. Location is perfect. The bar has a good range of drinks at very reasonable prices. Breakfast at the cafe is far better than many other hotels. Staff are courteous, well trained and attentive. I will say the hotel had improved from a 2 star to a 4 star in my book!

This is an above average place. Centrally located to a) Good local restaurants - Ming court and Fu shan dim sum is just walking distance abt 7 mins away (near the sin chew office). Only had time to go fu shan. The wan tan there is big (unlike other places which give small wan ton to save costs). b) At night, there is a local food court (also walking distance). c) St Michael Catholic church is 5 mins drive away (for those going for masses.. Sat 7pm and Sun 8am is in English while Sun 10am in Mandarin) d) Ipoh Parade Shopping Mall is also walking distance. e) The Ipoh Tauge Chicken Rice shops and the nightly pasar malam is 12 mins drive away. Other than the location, the buffet breakfast was good but not too fantastic. Only problem was the 11th floor to the pool and tennis/squash courts.... pool area and pool side was ok but the place doesnt look too well maintained. Quite dirty floors and some rubbish here and there. The free internet on every floor was another good thing about the hotel.

One of the best stay ever. My husband and me booked this hotel last minute as we stuck with jammed on our back home to Kl from penang. We check in around 9 pm. The front dest staff is very helpful, the room is awesome and spacious ( suitable for family),the bed, shower and i love everything inside ( they provide safety, refrigerator, iron etc), the view from our room is beautiful. They have non smoking room which I secretly love. The breakfast have varieties that you can choose from and it’s delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied and it a very pleasant stay. Definitely will come again next time.

What I like about this hotel is the service from the hotel personnel whether they are bellboy, receptionist, chef or technician. First, after our checked-in, the aircond in our room cannot function well, the room is hot like sauna even after 1 hour, so the technician came to rescue like 10 minutes later. He politely request to enter our room, and help us to check. Thumbs up for the manner that he spoke to us. So polite and friendly! Second, This is actually the room after we requested the front desk receptionist to change for us. The view of the previous room is also not as nice as this one. Because they were some other guests who stay beside our room, and they keep making noise and smoke. I really hate to smell cigarette. So I request to change to a room free from the cigarette smoke. To my surprise, YES, they agree! and about 10 minutes later, a bell boy came to our room and help us to carry our luggage to another room of the same floor somemore! I really felt like I should tipping them, but I didn't do it anyway haha. Third, during the breakfast buffer, I ask the chef where is the location of the cup. And one of them go to the beverage section to take for me somemore! (Note: I was in coco-crunch area, where I wanted to drink the milk only, but only bowl was there.) Only one thing that make me feel a little not welcome, a waiter didn't allow me to take photo of the food during the breakfast buffet. (I am helping you to promote). Anyway, that's not the main point of this post.

I did quite a bit of search on reviews of hotels in Ipoh and finally decided to book Regalodge Hotel because it appears to have the most consistent good reviews. Below are my personal opinions based on my 3-night stay: *very helpful staff at the parking area. The hotel carpark and the one immediately outside the hotel is under 24 hour security so quite safe. When it rains the security staff will bring a huge golf umbrella to fetch us from the car to the hotel lobby, which is particular helpful when our hands are full of shopping bags. They are also a good resourceful for any nearby tourist attractions or restaurants if you don’t know how to drive there. * very helpful staff at the counter. I forgot to bring my adaptor for the camera. When I ask the staff they did their best to find one for me. Also when I informed them I have some headache they immediately send some Panadol tablets to my rooms. I know they are just some minor issues but to a tourist in Ipoh the assistance to these minor issues can be so useful. * the hotel location is also convenient to some very nice and famous food outlets nearby.It is in the quiet part of the town so we also slept very well.

Having read other travellers' review, we were just as curious to experience the uniqueness of this Hotel during our travel to Batu Gajah. A comfortable, clean and strategic location next to the mall is on top of our list in choosing a hotel close to where we are heading the next day. As what others gave their reviews, this hotel is definitely unique and the interior design is eye catching. To add on to it, the room we stayed are equipped with full amenities and linens are clean, bed and towels are comfy too. We didnt get the chance to eat at their restaurant (yes its open by now) as we were determined to explore Ipoh city. Reception staff are friendly and polite too. They even offered to pick us up from the nearby Tesco mall as we couldn't find the hotel (our first time around Station 18 area). Luckily we loose our panic and use Waze GPS. We then realized it was just opposite to Aeon Station 18 mall. Although we were able to locate the hotel, reception staff are ready to offer help in picking us up. Thumbs up to them! All in all, our stay was a pleasant one and we would come back to the same hotel for sure. The down side of this hotel is only the connectivity to Wi-fi in which, the assurance the hotel gave is that they are still working on it. It doesnt affect us much though as we were out from the hotel most of the day time. Perhaps in our next stay, they would already have wifi connection in place.

I had high expectations based on the positive reviews online and was not disappointed. I opted for the Garden View Deluxe Room, ground floor because I was travelling with my 84 year old mother and my sister. It's a big room which accommodated a king sized and a single bed comfortably. Although there wasn't much of a garden, the verandah with its swing seat and koi pond outside the room made up for it. We were even given a bag of fish food to feed the koi which added a nice touch. The room was clean, well-maintained with pristine bedding; the bathroom fixtures were stylish. My only grouse is that it is not elderly friendly as there's a bathtub but no shower cubicle although a bathmat was provided. I should have enquired about it when I emailed the hotel. Efforts made in providing the Bali feel in the decor was pleasing and I appreciated the friendly service by Raidah of front desk & her gesture of the refreshing drink she served as we awaited our transport to the airport.

This hotel is not friendly use to old customer. My father and mother 70++ year old, need to climb 2 stories building. I dont mind with the outdated design of the hotel, but for old people to take stairs to go to the room very difficult. There is no elevator. The wifi also very slow. But the breakfast not bad, good. The choices of heavy breakfast meal, nasi lemak, fried kuew tiaw, noodle soup, porridge (need to improve the rice still not solid). The bread very nice with butter and "kaya". Last but not lease, the room have no refrigerator.

We arrived really late due to traffic, so we couldn't get a non-smoking room, yet the staff offered us an air purifier/ionizer and let us have it for the rest of our stay! Really good service. Rooms are small but very pretty and modern with very high standards for housekeeping. Breakfast was a surprise! It was simple but very nice. It would be even better if they had a pool but for this price it's already wonderful. A lot of restaurants around, and a short walk to Jalan Sultan Iskandar, the "food street" as well. We left some clothes and a tablet in the room, and although they did not tell us, they displayed incredible service and attitude and couriered the objects to us (we travelled to KL) within two days, charging only RM15 for it!(Around 2 USD) Thank you Steven and Louis (I think?)!! You guys were very helpful and nice.

We booked a double superior but were only given a standard room with single beds as reception claimed Agoda had not provided booking details and they were full over Chinese New Year. That said, we were in the new wing and it was a very spacious room and well maintained, certainly when compared to similar star rated Malaysian hotels. Reception staff were always helpful with taxi bookings etc. The Breakfast included was Asian style buffet and wouldn't appeal to Western taste. The hotel was a little 'remote' but there were plenty of taxis on call to go into the City or to the various natural tourist attractions.

3 of us hired Ian to bring us for 1 day tour (food & sightseeing) with his car. he charged us rm40/hour. I must say that it is value for money. early in the morning,he brought us to residential estate for very good wat-tan-hor and cheap. after breakfast he brought to gua tempurung-a big cave. he then brought us to have chee-cheong-fun and otak-otak for lunch. they are home made and delicious too. ordinary tourists will never find these places. even they found it, they will have to wait for very long time to be served (min. 1 hour). as Ian has good relationship with them, we did not wait long. after that he brought to the famous white coffee-nam heong c-shop where we tried very good egg tart too. he brought to walk around old/new town of Ipoh and tasted fomous dessert named funny mountain "tou-hue"-bean curd. we bought some local tit-bits, and went back to hotel for a rest as the kid was a little tired. we went out for dinner with him after 2 hours rest. he brought us to a local food centre named "dong-gu-teng" where we a wide variety of local food and they are delicious too. we hired his service for total 8 hours and I must say that we have got everything done conveniently. he is so friendly that I would make a strongly recommendation.

Every part of the hotel makes for a beautiful shot and the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staffs were great and proactive in getting what I needed. My booking granted me a room without windows and the staffs made no fuss when I seek for a room with one. They even gave me one with the view of the mountains and that was genuine hospitality! It was a truly lovely experience and I highly recommend this hotel. A definite repeat!

We booked only for a night over weekend. The hotel is new, clean & at a fairly good location. It's near Tesco & Aeon. Also a short distance drive to other tourist attractions (e.g. Old Ipoh Town, Concubine Lane, temple caves, all the famous eateries, etc, etc). The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. They serve good breakfast at the New Yorker Cafe too. The cafe is quite a cozy place with friendly & courteous staff. The cons are; room quite small & we could smell smoke in our room despite all rooms being non-smoking. Not sure where it came from though. However, they responded fast by offering to spray air fresher in our room, well, at least action was taken. Aside from these 2 areas, the rest are fine. Overall it's a good place to stay for short holidays.

Concept by WEIL is a fantastic concept indeed, boutique within a hotel. Almost everything was perfect, the lounge on Level 12, the attentive service, snacks on minibar, comfy bed and the Concept itself. What could have been better is the cleanliness of the room. Dust was evident everywhere in the room eg once you draw the curtains and on the sink and wardrobe. For this price, you can never leave things for granted and make the hotel stand up above the rest. Regardless, it’s still a top hotel to consider while you are in Ipoh. 2nd time staying here and will be back again.

In general the front desk very friendly and entertains to each of our request pertaining to the hotel room. The rooms are very clean and i'm satisfy with the tidiness. My overall feedback that I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only thing that due to the location is a new developed area, choices of restaurant is not many in walking distance. You need to have a transportation in order to reach out to nearest area (Gopeng - around 8km away) to find a lot of restaurant choices.

The staff provides a superb service throughout my-night stay. By staff, I mean all the staff that I encoutered (with no exceptions). They are friendly, polite and passionate in helping the guest and try to fulfill all reasonable requests from me. Even prior to the stay when I called to the hotel for information, I have great impression to their staff. They apologised for their shortfall. And best thing on the last day after check out, I request to put some perishable food items at their fridge so that I can take my time to have a walk at Ipoh town without the need to worry about my food. They agreed not only without hesitation, but are happy to be able to help me out. They even offered me late check-out so I can placed my food at my hotel room fridge which I declined. They end up putting my food at their own fridge at Ground floor. The hotel location is also perfect for those driving and wish to find a quiet and convenient place to park. There are ample parkig space. But not recommended for those without own transport as travelling to town is about 10-15mins by car. The hotel is new and the deco is nice. But perhaps cleanliness can be further improved as there are dust and one little dead croackraches, but that doesn't bother me too much as overall the room is neat and cleanliness is still acceptable, it is just not perfect. Things that bother me is its low pressure shower (which they promised they have taken prompt action to rectify) and the temperature of the water from is shower is super hot despite adjusted to minimum temperature. Another thing is every night (all 3 nights) without fail when I return to my hotel, I cannot access to my hotel room with the hotel card, causing trouble to go up and down to the counter for that issue (for which they apologised and are quick to respond to my card problem). Enjoy my stay overall, great TV channel for those love and need sports channel.

Location is good, in the center of town. Near to major facilities such as the General Hospital, Sri Maju Bus Station, and the Airport. Not to mention there's a lot of renown and cheap local delicacies within 5 to 10 km. Wifi speed is excellent as well! The hotel ISP is Time Fibre and I believed it is either a 30 Mbps or 50 Mbps as I did a speed test on my phone. I tried to book a room (on 13th Oct night, I arrived earlier) but their credit card machine malfunction and I don't have enough cash on me, the staff proposed a brilliant idea that I can pay for a room at half rate for half day so that I can accommodate one night before the booked date. This is a very good service and problem solving there. There's only one minor issue with the staying, the toilet door. The door cannot be lock, unsure if it is intentional or forgotten because there's a marking left on the door frame indicate it is to be removed for toilet door lock. Bad idea for family or friends staying in one room.

The rates are very cheap but the place is not too lousy. Me and my boyfriend had a good night sleep, although the bed sheet is not new but it's clean. The water pressure is too small to shower, other than that, the place is a good place to have a short stay. The employees are helpful. I was driving to this hotel that day and I parked quite far away, the Indian guy told me to park infront of the hotel so they can look after for me. The location is quite good, it's right beside of Tesco and few minutes away from McDonald, 15 minutes to the expressway, so it's quite convinient. Lastly, this is a budget hotel, I get more than I paid, so it's kinda great.

Love the hotel interior - clean and simple with grey-themed decor. Very nice, modern, new hotel with spacious room. Very spacious bathroom too! Every room comes with 2 free bottles of water and free wi-fi access too! Very helpful hotel staff too! Only downside was the poor soundproofing in the walls and the loud door closing sounds. Also, the 3 level hotel did not have any lift access, so not very handicapped or elderly friendly. Hotel is located next to Impiana Casuarina Hotel, hidden behind Casuarina 1 building. Love it! Will definitely stay here again next time!

The location of the hotel is quite strange as it is in the residential area and it was a bit difficult to find without GPS. It is quite inconvenience if you dont have transport. Other than this , We were truely impressed with the nature and unique design of the hotel. We chose the Lotus room which has a king bed and a "flying bed". Kids were very excited to use the outdoor shower located in the room itself. The common lobby is very cosy with a lot of unique wooden furnitures and wall painitng. Staff was friendly and helpful . Breakfast was great too. We will sure recommend friends to stay in this hotel .

Love the clever design of this boutique hotel. From the design of the facade to the doors right up to the rooms. Everything is provided in the room and the super clean bath n toilet with rain shower. The material use is like 5 stars luxury hotel. The toilet floor tiles is so classy looking. If thrown in super soft cotton towels this hotel will be the best in whole of Ipoh. Their cafe Cawanmu next door is very nice for enjoying breakfast. Although the breakfast spread is minimal but very adequate and of good quality. Bought their Coffee Swiss roll and its delicious! Their service staff is excellent. Everyone of them is so friendly. Thanks! Location is around 15-20 minutes drive to town but not a drawback when this hotel is really value for money for what they provide.

All their staffs went the extra mile to make our stay memorable and worthwhile. This was our first time in Ipoh and we received a lot of recommendations (eg: food, site tourist attractions and also places to buy their locals food products) from them. They would arrange a cab for us whenever we need as transportation in Ipoh is undevelop. They would bargain for us for a cheaper cab fees too! We appreciate alot as the fees were not not charge by meters. Although their wifi connection is quite slow, we were informed before hand and they commented that they will be improving on it! Overall, we will recommend this hotel to everyone!
