Guests love the friendly and accommodating staff who provide excellent service at this ideally located hotel. Perfect for tourists, just a short walk from Asakusa Sensoji temple and the Oedo line train station, with 7/11 and various shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are great value for money, equipped with complete facilities including toner and face wash.

Some guests mentioned the rooms to be small and uncomfortable, with hard, lumpy beds. Although the hotel is close to a bus stop, it is far from the subway station.

    “Fair stay”

We stayed at Hotel Mystays Asakusa for 5 nights. The location is decent — about a 10-minute walk from Kuramae Station and around 15 minutes from Asakusa Station. It’s relatively convenient, though not right beside any major stations. There’s a 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk away, which is great for quick snacks or essentials, and an Aeon supermarket about 8 minutes away on foot for groceries and ready-to-eat meals. The room is quite small, which is typical for Tokyo, especially considering how expensive hotels can be. Inside the room, there's a small refrigerator, microwave, and water kettle, which are definitely useful if you plan to have light meals or heat food. However, the hotel feels a bit outdated. The furnishings and fixtures — especially the sink, toilet bowl, and shower area — show visible signs of age. The only updated part was the shower head, which provided fine and relaxing water pressure. The shower area is very cramped. The bathtub is small, and the shower curtain constantly sticks to your skin while bathing — definitely not the most pleasant experience. Another strange design choice is the sink being placed outside the restroom, in the space between the bed and the bathroom door, which felt awkward and a bit inconvenient. One of the biggest downsides is that there’s no daily room cleaning service. You’re expected to tidy up and make your bed yourself. For longer stays, this becomes uncomfortable. Another issue is the trash disposal. Guests have to bring their garbage to a collection point in the parking area. While the garbage room is organized, the odor inside is unpleasant, making it an unappealing part of the routine. On the positive side, the hotel provides complimentary toiletries, including a hair comb, shaving kit, sachet lotion, and a shower towel. Overall, I’d give this stay a 6 out of 10. The location is fairly good, with convenient access to a nearby 7-Eleven and supermarket, and the room includes basic appliances. However, the lack of room cleaning, outdated facilities, awkward sink placement, and inconvenient trash system make it difficult to fully recommend — especially for stays longer than a few nights.

Thank you for making a reservation at Hotel Mystays Asakusa. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the old building. We do not have a daily cleaning service, and we ask our guests to make their beds and dispose of garbage by themselves. We hope you will understand that this is the reason why our room rates are lower than other hotels. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and we look forward to welcoming you again when the opportunity arises. Hotel Mystays Asakusa Front Desk

    “Great!”

Great hotel to stay at for a few days. You have to exchange your linens and take out your own garbage/recyclables, but that wasn't a problem at all. Staff were all very kind and helpful; hotel was very clean; laundry facilities were great; close to a conbini and about a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. The area was quiet and relaxing. Also a huge plus, there's a delicious and cheap Indian curry restaurant attached at the front of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. :)

“A Gem in Asakusa - Hotel Mystays Delivers Unbeatable Value”

Hotel Mystays Asakusa has proven to be the best hotel experience I've had in Tokyo, offering a perfect blend of affordability, convenience, and comfort. 1. Overall Impression: ★★★★★ This hotel exceeded my expectations, standing out as the best accommodation I've encountered in Tokyo. 2. Staff: ★★★★★ The staff at Hotel Mystays are not only nice but incredibly accommodating. Their hospitality added a personal touch to my stay, making it even more enjoyable. 3. Unique Pricing Approach: ★★★★☆ The cost-effectiveness of this hotel is notable, with lower prices attributed to the option of forgoing daily room cleaning. While this was no issue for me, it's essential to manage your trash responsibly to avoid unwanted visitors. 4. Room Amenities: ★★★★☆ Despite the compact size of the toilet and shower area, the inclusion of a bathtub and complete amenities such as a refrigerator, hair dryer, lamp, and cabinets made my stay remarkably comfortable. 5. Ideal for Solo Travelers: ★★★★★ Hotel Mystays Asakusa caters perfectly to solo travelers, providing a cozy and efficient space that meets their specific needs. 6. Location: ★★★★☆ While it might be a bit of a walk from the nearest train station, the proximity to a bus stop compensates for the inconvenience, offering alternative transportation options. 7. Peaceful Surroundings: ★★★★★ One of the standout features is the tranquility of the surrounding areas by evening. The quiet atmosphere ensures a peaceful night's sleep, a rare find in a bustling city like Tokyo. 8. Value for Money: ★★★★★ Hotel Mystays Asakusa unquestionably delivers the best value for money. The combination of affordability, excellent service, and amenities make it a standout choice for budget-conscious travelers. 9. Self-Service Laundry: ★★★★★ The self-service laundry area is a great addition, providing a clean and convenient facility for guests. 10. Vending Machines: ★★★★☆ The presence of vending machines adds a nice touch, offering convenience for those late-night cravings or quick refreshments. In conclusion, Hotel Mystays Asakusa is a true gem in Tokyo, offering an unmatched combination of affordability, comfort, and attentive service. “Great for solo but not for more”

Location is fantastic and you get to see the Tokyo Skytree from the location (and room if you are lucky). Nearest lines are Kurame (Oedo line) and Asakusa both within 20minutes of walking with beautiful scenery of Sumida river, Tokyo Skytree and the bridge. Aeon and 711/Lawson are available nearby to get late night food on the way back and overall amazing location IMO. Rooms are small so while you can have more than one, the room I had felt like 2 would be a little uncomfortable.

Thank you for booking Hotel MyStays Asakusa. We appreciate your valuable feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the room size. The nearest stations are Kuramae Station on the Toei Asakusa Line and Kuramae Station on the Toei Oedo Line. These are separate stations: it's a 10-15 minute walk from the Asakusa Line station and a 5-10 minute walk from the Oedo Line station. Asakusa Station is not the closest station and requires a walk of about 20 minutes. The scenery around our hotel in the Asakusa area, the Sumida River, and Tokyo Skytree changes with the seasons. We would be delighted if you would choose to stay with us again should you have the opportunity. All our staff look forward to welcoming you back. Hotel MyStays Asakusa Front Desk
