This conveniently located hotel near Asakusa subway station gives easy access to popular tourist attractions like Kaminarimon Gate and Sensoji Temple. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and feature comfortable beds and large bathtubs. The hospitable staff ensures a pleasant stay. Dining options cater to Muslim guests, and Family Mart convenience stores are within reach. Certain rooms offer beautiful views of the city skyline and landmarks such as Skytree.

Some guests have found the bed very hard and pillow too small to comfortably sleep.

    “Great location and views!”

The Hotel Gracery Asakusa is super close to Asakusa Station and all the popular attractions. Service and cleanliness was great. We were lucky and got a room with the view of the Skytree and the Asahi "poop"! The rooms were on the small side, with no actual closet and just some hooks and hangers on one of the walls. As with usual Tokyo area hotels, the square footage was quite small. There wasn't much space for luggage, but we made it work buy storing our large empty ones under the bed until the last night when we packed and just lived out of the carry on luggage open on the floor. Beds were pretty comfy, though on the shorter side. The pillows were decent, but different than what I'm used to. Since the building is away from the main street, it's nice and quiet at night. The bathroom was nice and clean. The sink is located in the general room area though, so just keep that in mind. Not my first time with this set up. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Amenities like toothbrushes, skin care, cotton pads/swabs, etc can be picked up at the lobby on the way to the room. All in all, we had a great stay at the Gracery. We would come back the next time we're in town.

It is very clean, the rooms are very well equipped with everything a tourist may need, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is very professional, polite and helpful. “Just about perfect”

I spent 10 nights at Hotel Gracery Asakusa in April-May of 2023. Staying so long in one place gave me the opportunity to really settle in and get to know the place. I didn't avail myself of anything other than the room itself; I'm not usually looking for a gym or breakfast. The location was very convenient - two blocks south and one block west of Kaminari-mon, the outer gate of Senso-ji Temple. To get to the subway, it's a 3 block walk to the Asakusa Line part of Asakusa Station, and a 4 block walk to get to the Ginza Line part of the station. If you're flying through Haneda, you can get a direct train to the airport along the Asakusa Line. Just look up on the board for the train that's going to Haneda. Everything about the room was just about perfect for me. The room was modern and very clean. It was still a business hotel room, but it wasn't cramped. The heat/aircon was easy to figure out and control. The bath/shower were their own room, which was a big step up from most business hotels. The view from my 4th floor room wasn't much, but I wasn't looking at the wall of a neighboring building. I could see the top of Tokyo Sky Tree from my east-facing window. And don't worry about being bothered by bright sunlight waking you up too early -- the window has a very effective blackout blind that blocks the sun completely. I have only two criticisms. The bed was hard. Not firm, hard. It was almost the size of an American double bed, which was a good thing, because I spent a lot of time tossing and turning. If you're used to a softer bed or a memory foam mattress, this could be a problem. Also, unlike most business hotels, the room didn't have a desk. It had a small sofa tucked into a corner, with a table in front of it. The table was higher than a coffee table, but lower than a desk (in relation to the height of the seat). I spend more time than I like to admit in front of the laptop when I'm on vacation, so this was a minor inconvenience. In all,

    “Good location, friendly staff”

It's my first time in Japan but have heard that hotel rooms are smaller than usual. The room I got is good for 1 person. More than 1 would be cramped especially there is no closet so will have to keep the suitcases opened. The room is cleaned every 3rd day stay. Mine wasn't vacuumed at all during my 5 night stay. The supplies were replenished though. Breakfast buffet is adequate. Location is well connected to train stations. There is a direct train line from Narita airport. There are a few restaurants and pharmacies open late at night. It's within walking distance to Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Don Quixote and Asakusa Rox Mall. Quiet during the night. Overall very good stay. Safe area for female solo traveler and families with young kids.

    “Good location & Clean Room”

Location was really good. 5mins away from Asakusa town centre and the Asakusa/Ginza train stations. Near 2 conveient shops Aeon and 7-11. Room was very clean. They even provided a humidifier. I like the way they had built their toilet and it is well equiped. Beds were hard for me but pillows were comfortable. I am a side sleeper so the shoulders felt cramped but it was great for the back. There was a comfortable sofa area to have meals while watching TV. Most staff were friendly with a smile. One of the male staff was not helpful when checking in. My friend had checked in earlier and when i arrived, i informed him of the room number and showed him the room number on my phone, then he kept saying that there was no one in the room till my friend came down to inform the room number than he said i gave the wrong number then proceeded to take my passport. He did not apologise and throughout looked unhappy. It might have been good to have a confirmation form to prevent misunderstanding but i think it could have been handled better by that staff. However on other days, the staff were really warm. Probably a once off experience. But overall the stay was comfortable and good. It will still be one of the hotels i would choose for future stays. Thanks!
