lub d is a hip and modern hostel in the silom area of bangkok. its about a 5-8 minute walk to the center of silom's nightlife (soi 2 & 4, patpong). although it is located on a quiet off street there are many stores such as 7-eleven and restaurants located on the main street. the bts station is also about a 5-10 minute walk. the hostel itself is fun! it has that modern ...

The idea of having a unique theme to each room makes it stand-out from the usual hotels with dull walls and fancy lamps. Breakfast was GREAT unlike what some reviews had shown! We had sausages, sunny-side up every morning, with fried rice/noodles/pancakes to go along. There's bread, toaster, jam/butter, orange juice. We were even surprised to see breakfast cereal, mil...

This is really a great place to stay in Bangkok. 2 blocks away from khao san, this place feels like it is right in the thick of things, while still maintaining a quiet, chill environment. many many solo travelers stay here so it's a great place to meet people- both in the dorms and in the common areas. They do turn off the a/c in the rooms during the day, but this is c...

We (4 of us), went to Bangkok for 8 days 7 nights for a holiday trip!. We booked this hostel because we had a bad experience with cheap hotel, and we want to experience how does hostel feel like, and it cheap so we deicided to give this hostel a try. Lub d Bangkok Siam Square Hostel is a fun place filled with fun people, with a slogan "Everyone leave as a friend". We l...

We spent 1 night at Bansabai and found it to be exactly the hideaway from Bangkok that we were looking for. The staff were more than willing to see to our every need. The roof was large and comfortable, best pillows i've slept on in months! The rooftop pool and garden was very impressive and the large hydroponic garden was one of the most impressive i have seen. The ho...

Unexpected! Price-Superb! It's relaxing in a quiet Bangkok residential atmosphere after a long journey abroad. Once I get acquainted to thr road., it is very easy to go around Bangkok. There is one room type, a single bed or twin bed, shared bathroom. I'd love to bbok it next time. Pay a little more, but i can have more privacy. The manager is very friendly; well staff ...

Hostel has perfect localization to rest each time before heading out for Bangkok experience. Really well communicated with public transportation made it really easy to move around the city - yet all hostel was extremely quiet. Perfect for non-party (or party outside ;) travellers. Best was the stuff and tiny details they attend to: it's family run place with all it's ...

this hotel was by far the best we have stayed in bangkok, especially in terms of price and location, i just wished we knew about it sooner. the staff were absolutely fantastic too, they let us check in early which was brilliant as our coach arrived in bangkok at 7am and we got to the hotel around 8am and didn't want to walk around with all our luggage. also when we ch...

What can I say? This place is brilliant. We loved the hostel, so thoughtful details. From the mixed style of modern and vintage decor at the lobby, to the relaxing atmosphere of the outdoor deck with comfortable oversize lounges, to the rushing tropical garden and the pristine wading pool, what more could you ask for? It's the ultimate Bangkok experience! Now that...

Overstay is located in a residential neighbourhood that has proximity tourist sites, but is very authentically native Bangkok. Walk in one direction to find nighttime street food markets and in another to find a Bangkok supermall. The building itself fits the character of the surrounding neighbourhood, but with plenty of its own twists. It's a 6 floor (sorry, no el...

i stayed here for four nights in june. i came to bangkok by myself and this hostel was a great place to meet other people. the first night i arrived the dormitory was fully booked (americans, kiwi, australians), but the other three nights there were just one/two other people in the room. i didn't try the food at the hostel, so i can't comment on it. the hostel is ve...

We had reservations for both our arrival and departure days in and out of Bangkok. On arrival, our Agoda booking was somehow lost, and they did not have a room available for us. But within a few minutes they arranged a room for us at another hotel down the street, handled our check-in, etc., and paid the extra amount above what we had already paid through Agoda (the ot...

1. At Bed Bangkok Hostel, I had the bunk bed room in June 2014 with private bathroom and ac without breakfast. 2. The walls were thin and seemed to have few tiny cracks, making you hear your neighbors and staff nearby. There was no annoyance except for stairs being walked on somewhat loudly a few times. Room smell was neutral (which is good by comparison) but ac was w...

the green house hostel is a conveniently located accommodation, it is right in the heart of all the action.. good restaurants and bars surrounding tis area. The rooms themselves are very basic (even if you go for the double deluxe) if you are planning a 1-2 nights stay then its just perfect. No T.V in the room, which can be slightly annoying as sometimes the fast p...

Stayed here on two separate occasions, and both times I had an adequately good stay! Rooms were tidy, nice beds, maybe hard for some. Washroom is good, but there is a lack of hanging or shelfs for clothes, just throw over the door! Lobby has a communal area, coffee and drinks, a pool table, tv... great little social gathering area and nice decor but a bit dark. Book sh...

Stayed here for 3 days and would ever come back. The stuff was very friendly and allways smiling. I could allways contact them with every question i had. Up now it was the best low budget hostel. It was very clean, got a working a/c and also fan. Quiet place about 5 minutes from the tourism places.

Met my expectations, room is very comfortable with good air ventilation, was worried about hostels because of that but this one is one of the best out there in bangkok. Initially took 2 days only before heading to another hostel but extended 3 more days at hello hostel! 2-3 minute walk to khaosan too so its definitely a plus. Will return again.

Quite clean compared to many places, didn't feel at all icky. Shared bathrooms with cold water but, unfortunately, no waste baskets inside and no toilet paper provided. The rooms are quite tiny, but their biggest flaw is the complete lack of hooks and drying racks (wet towel, anybody?). Table space is very, very limited also (no closet), so be prepare to dump your stuf...

Wow a very good evening to all this is to tell you that YHA Bangkok airport is the best place to stay the staff are very helpful and the view from roof top direct to airport nice view you can see landing of many flights an de take off to and near by get good street food wow I like love this place if I visit next time I will stay here only cheap price and the best with ...

I was pretty nervous before arriving at here because it was the first time staying alone in hostel as well as finding amazing price among all accommodations. Of course it was quite difficult. I asked 5 taxi drivers to go to De Talak(at the nearest subway station), but all of them did not know where and what it is. I spent an hour to find the destination although I use...

Cool, eclectic hostel with odd art everywhere-it was fun! The staff were friendly and most spoke some English, but the man ( didn't catch his name) was extremely helpful and sweet. I stayed in a female dorm which was in the 5th floor which was very safe. You can take the elevator, key into the hallway, and the rooms are very secure. There are lockers for each bed. The ...

If your looking for a convenient hostel? Try suneta hostel khaosan is the best! Friendly staff and they offer good breakfast. If you want to drink they offer also inside in the hostel. Nightlife is just around the corner. Souveniers items can be found anywhere in the khaosan road. They also offer a tour package which is very convenient for travellers if they want to e...

The location is great, near to everything in Silom & a short walking distance to MRT & Skytrain. Whoever commented the place was dirty & horibble, that was probably before the renovation. I was sceptical at first when I booked for the place but chose to risk it because of the great price & location. But when I arrived, I was greeted by a sweet & friendly receptionist a...

I had one night at the Pridi Hostel and was greeted via email with fantastic directions on getting there and plenty of assistance once I arrived. The location is close enough to catch a cheap bus 10 mins to the BTS, and is right near a 7 Eleven, noodle shops and a post office. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provided great advice on nearby places of inter...

I was really happy with my stay at 1Yolo hostel. My bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. The showers were good, and it was really nice that they provided shampoo and shower gel. Sudawan, the owner/manager really made my stay awesome - she's very knowledgeable about places to go in Bangkok, and throughout Thailand, and her English is ...

It's nice being a 10 minute walk away from Khao San Road, far enough to avoid the noise but close enough to stagger back after some drinks. The guys who work there are super helpful with finding things to do and best ways to get around. The girls who work there aren't really people persons, but they're alright. Breakfast was nice, nothing special: juice, white and whea...

Siam Journey is a cozy place in busy Bangkok. Has a big common area with Sofas and Movienights, also a kitchen and fridge to use and of course waterrefill. It is located in a backstreet thats why its really quiet. But you have everything near, many 7/11 but also a nice Foodstreet and of course th best Pat-Thai-Location in Bangkok(Trip-Adviser) . They also make some Gam...

Mile Map hostel We used the Mile Map Hostel as a stop over in Bangkok before flying out of Thailand the room we booked was a family room that sleeps 4 although we are are a family of five and our 4 year old son is still happy to sleep in our bed. We arrived in Bangkok by bus from Ayutthaya, so we made our way from the Mo Chit bus station on the Metro system to Si Lom ...

Had a nice stay at this little cozy hostel in the midth of Bangkok. I had an own room with air condition, shared clean shower and toilets. You get water for free and the staff was friendly. There are supermarkets and also restaurants very nearby. I can recommend this hostel for sure!

Very good room along with big bed new bed sheet etc and they cleaning the room daily!!!! Air conditioner is very cool. it is very good location for staying and safety .When we sleep here without noise loudly from music!!!! we get good sleep!! ( Coffee Tea is free daily) value for money. cheap hostel in bangkok. staff is very friendly and helpful

Before booking we searched many sites to find the best value for money accommodation with focus on user rating (which is very important in Bangkok since often the pictures shown and reality don't really match) and minimal comfort - as we didn't want to share a room with 10 other people. We planed on staying for 2 nights but ended up spending almost 2 weeks for seve...

This is my first time staying in a hostel. previously i have stayed hotels close by this hostel and one day i just ask one the staff to show me the hostel rooms and their sister hotel The Period which is next to the hostel. Before i book this place i had a chance to look and justify that I'm going to book something really worth. The guests who come to stay here are you...

I stayed in dormitory room. It was so nice. Every bed was curtained off by draperies. By the time I checked in, I got a free bottle of water. And plus, I had bread and jam for free. It was set from 6 to 10 am at the room next to the kitchen. The location isn’t bad. There are plenty of places for Street food and for shopping malls. There is also a skytrain station nea...

Arrived with a note on reception saying to go to Room 1 for check in. That, and lots of materials and clutter outside of other rooms gave the whole place a bad first impression. But the rooms were clean and we were happy to have AC and our private bathroom. Every room has a table and chairs outside the room to soak in some of that Bangkok heat. The lack of the rece...

I stayed there before and felt comfortable with the friendly staff, so I chose this hostel again for my last night in Bangkok. If you are looking for a close place to Khaosan road and need to relax with little quiet atmosphere, I would definetely recommend here! They would always try to help you out politely with smile and you won't have any problem. Enjoy!

I had a very wonderful stay at this hostel. The staff were very nice and friendly. I also met the bos of this hostel, he is very friendly, we had a nice chat together. This hostel will have much improvement in the near future, the bos told me about his vision. Design also one of the great point, very unique design. Room also clean & one of the best location to stay at ...

15min walk from khao san, or cheap taxi. Away from the hustle and bustle, this place is a/c, internet, modern, quiet, friendly, comfy beds, perfect hideaway to get the perfect sleep u have been craving. Would not stay anywhere else now in Bangkok. Chern is the best and value for money in a big city. staff are great aswell. Setting a new standard for hostels in bangkok

My friend and I hadn't enjoyed our stay in a hostel in the old part of Bangkok, so we thought we would try to find a place in the new part of the city. We were lucky to come across this lovely hostel, conveniently located close to the BTS line. The interior of the hostel was clean and modern, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Food wise, the hostel was very rela...

That was my first time in hostel in Thailand and i did like it. People are very friendly, helped me with everything i asked, gave me many advices. Thank you!!! If i look for a hostel in Bangkok later i most likely will stay in Bangkok hub again. Located in business district. You just cross over the street and find deli-grocery, or 1 min to a shopping mall with a large ...

After a hectic routine - we were looking for a place to relax and just burrow down for a while. The Week provided us with just that, and though we weren't able to enjoy the spa - we plan on doing that the next time we come. Thank you for the warm welcome and for making our stay so peaceful and enjoyable.

The room is exactly same with the picture. So comfort and the room smells good. Location very strategic, near On Nut BTS station (2min walking), and so many restaurant, massage, and you can find everything near the hostel, even the giant supermarket Tesco Lotus. The staffs is friendly even their English is not so good, but they try to communicate. The only thing that I...

The hostel exceeded our expectations. We were very satisfied with the room (love the sheets), amenities (especially the elevator), food (enough to tide you over before lunch), and the staff who all spoke fluent English. The location is very central because it is just one block away from the MRT Sukhumvit and BTS Asok. On my next trip to Bangkok, will definitely book th...

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel (every other place we stayed on our trip we compared to it!) It was a little difficult to find- if you're in a taxi, it's right before the King's overpass on the left side, 200m from the bridge. Once we got inside it was a peaceful oasis. Nun and her staff were so kind and attentive and really helped us navigate all areas of Bangk...

Great place to discover Bangkok, close to BTS and only one stop to Chao Praya boat pier. Convenience Store at the next corner. The hostel is relatively small with a cozy atmosphere. For me, a home away from home. But the best are the three young owners!!! I had a great time with you. See you all again soon!

I stayed here for just two nights..but it was amazing to stay here..hostel is located near MRT station..walking distance only..it is run by a lovely couple who are extremely sweet and helpful in nature..it's a small hostel but they run it very professionally..the bed are really comfortable to sleep..even the top one's. If someone is looking for calm stay this is the pl...

I was only here for half a day, arriving early morning and checking out the same evening, so I had to ask for an early check in. Although the beds were full the night before, and they couldn't let me have a bed earlier than midday, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The decor of the hostel is modern and tasteful, and everything is clean and well mainta...

It's amazing to find a hostel in the middle of Bangkok, near Sukhumvit no less, with large green gardens. From the start, nothing is average about this hostel. From the creative shipping container design to the gardens to the room layouts. We were concerned that a 7m2 room would be too small but it was really quite roomy. The owners were the best and we loved the v...

Great for a 1 night stay once we arrived in Bangkok. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and adequate for what we needed, kids loved us all sleeping in bunk beds. Location great, hostel has no restaurant but it's located next door to the lovely Rocket cafe. For the price I would recommend.

This is my second time staying at Glur Bangkok Hostel. I chose this hostel because of its location close to Saphan Taksin BTS and Sathorn Pier. So, we can save more time. In front of the hostel, you can find Bang Rak Market, Robinson, McDonald's, KFC, many food stalls and also some pharmacies. So you will not starve. The room I stayed in was quite clean and complete wi...

This place is perfect for independent traveler who knows their way around Bangkok and is comfortable in a Thai neighborhood. These are like service apartments - the staff was friendly but they spoke very little english and basically you can come and go without much interaction - most of the guests we saw were alsoThai. This is a good place to practice your lamguage ...

We arrived late at night and were greeted by friendly staff who sent us to our room. It was clean with good A.C. The bathrooms are clean and have nice decor. Signs everywhere emphasize that it is not a party hostel so it is quiet at night. Breakfast in the morning is simple but is a nice way to start the day. Great value for the money, my girlfriend and I are p...

Impressed by its location close to a lane with many bars. But you cant even find any water kettle in room. Bathroom is not insideroom, noise of showering made us wake up at 3:00 am. Absolutely will not live in here next time. We think this guest house is far away to be identified as two star.

This hostel is great in Bangkok, I've stayed at it before and I came back because I liked it so much. It has a homey feel because of the way it is decorated with a great common room space! The dorms are a little tight for room, but it is manageable if you are in one of the rooms that has more beds. Nice and close to khao San but not directly in the khaos (ha ha). Great...

I have been staying at 499 for over three years. My return this November for more Dental work saw me coming home to Rosebud. The little lady cleaner always makes me feel welcome and when she shouts at me in Thai thinking this will make communication better I actually understand her. There is always a hot pot of water at the ready for tea. It is quirky but works well fo...
