I stayed with my daughter and her husband, a total of four people, in a room with an ocean view. We were able to see the sea from the bathtub in the middle of the room, enjoyed dinner while watching a show, and even got to use the pool and jacuzzi in November. It was a fun and relaxing time that healed us. The interior and lighting of the room were also wonderful, allowing us to relax both mentally and physically. The amenities were also top-notch. Additionally, all of the staff members had lovely smiles, which was great. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a double room on the 5th floor of Sunset Wing. The room was amazing, spacious and beautifully decorated. The shower booth was separate from the bathtub, allowing for a relaxing bath. Watching the sunset over the ocean from the lanai, with a view of the "Okinawan version" of Diamond Head, made me forget about all the unpleasant things in my daily life. Usually, when I travel, I tend to overbook my schedule and end up feeling rushed. However, I enjoyed staying in the room so much that I felt like it was a waste to go out. There may be different opinions regarding the hotel's reputation and how it compares to the original Halekulani in Hawaii, but personally, I think it was a great decision to stay there. It was a bit of a splurge, but still more affordable than the Hyatt in Seragaki. I was able to get into the most popular restaurant for breakfast without waiting by adjusting my timing a bit (they have a system that allows you to check waiting times from a distance using your smartphone). The staff's smiles and hospitality were also wonderful. I would like to stay there again during a good deal period.

My first trip to Okinawa and my first stay at the Halekulani. From check-in, the service was fantastic and there was meticulous attention to detail for the customers throughout the hotel. I stayed with my husband and the room was spacious and comfortable to spend time in. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone to stay at least once. Although we only stayed for one night on the first day of our three-night trip to Okinawa, it was so good that we wished we could have stayed here for the rest of our trip. If I have the chance to go to Okinawa again, I would definitely want to stay here again.

Halekulani truly lives up to its name as a 'house befitting heaven.' From the moment I stepped into the pristine property, I was transported to a blissful holiday retreat where all of my stress melted away. The room was beautifully designed, exuding a serene Hawaiian vibe with its classy and spacious layout. Every detail, from the furnishings to the décor, reflected the hotel's commitment to elegance and relaxation. But what really sets the Halekulani apart is the impeccable service. The hotel staff were unfailingly attentive, rushing to set up beach chairs and provide complimentary chilled water bottles anytime I ventured outdoors. Their genuine warmth and eagerness to ensure my comfort were truly remarkable. The dining experience was also exceptional, with a delicious breakfast spread that featured unique dishes infused with delightful Okinawan flavors. The property delivers an experience that is nothing short of heavenly. I left feeling completely rejuvenated and can't wait to return for another stay in this tropical paradise.
Honeymoon Stay”
Honestly, we thought this would be pure luxury given the 5* tag and price. We travelled from the UK and stopped off at various places in Japan before landing in Okinawa. The rooms and the pools were very good. Clean, well maintained and offered amazing views. However, the staff could barely speak English. Which for a 5* resort with a variety of travelers, makes it difficult. The restaurant options are very expensive for what they are- we regularly went off site to get food, because the choices are overpriced and not worth the money. The breakfast, however is a good choice. Lots of styles and is buffet, which allows you to try various dishes. The main issue is, there are just too many rules. You can’t put the parasols up if it’s too windy by the pool, you can’t bring your own drinks (even from your mini bar) to the pool. You can’t move the pool chairs more than a certain amount. Finally, we respect Japanese culture on tattoos- however, given the amount of westerners that visit the hotel- the policy seems a bit backwards. We are hardly Yakuza, yet I was made to feel alienated every time I went to the pool. On the first day, we were told my tattoos were ok at certain pools. So, respectfully- we stuck to visiting these certain pools. The next day, another pool cop came over and said I had to cover my tattoos. Yet when we complained about this, they quickly reversed their decision. Overall, for a 5* experience, it did not live up to expectations- too many rules, you cannot relax and the food prices/ quality do not live up to expectation. You have to complain to get what you want, it’s not ideal when you just want to relax on your honeymoon! The hotel does offer beautiful rooms and good service. But you have to battle for it and it comes at a premium cost.
