The person at the counter was very friendly although one of them cannot speak English very well but she tried her very best to make us comfortable and smile all the times. I am planning to go to Bangkok this December and stay again at this hotel.

This was our last stop of a two week trip. My adult daughter and I took full advantage of the low cost housing/hostel options in Thailand which made this stop all the better. The place was very clean, nice hot shower with good pressure, good wifi, and a very peaceful environment. That being said, Bangkok is a very loud and busy city and while we were in a great loca...This was our last stop of a two week trip. That being said, Bangkok is a very loud and busy city and while we were in a great location for site-seeing, we were on a busy street and the traffic noise is loud! The air conditioning (which worked great) provided enough white noise that I slept like a baby in the very comfortable bed but other guests had more difficulty. The staff is really kind and helpful and even woke up early and provided us with a box breakfast when we had to leave for the airport at 4:30 am! I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast.

I took the standard room with Padi Madi and it is great - the room is clean and has all the necessities required such as your own bathroom, bed, TV, safebox etc... Only 3 channels shown on TV, so don't expect too much for the price you pay ; ) The hosts Fred and Pimmy were exceptional. I emailed them before I left for Bangkok to tell them i prefer a standard room with TV facing the bed and they really reserved the ONLY standard room with such preference for me! For a Guest House with so many rooms and so many guests to attend to, Fred and Pimmy are very very busy people running about all the time - trying to fix the lights (for me), air-cons, guests' complaints/queries etc... but they still always remain very helpful and patient. That's what I really love about the guest house. I would say... Give this guest house a try! It is really affordable and indeed near to the BTS station with many local delights nearby. Remember to try the BBQ meat near the BTS station - these are absolutely amazing!!! 60baht/10pcs

me and my cousins stayed here last weekend. there was some mix up with the reservation i made with agoda since the voucher i printed out did not state that we specifically wanted a twin bed so we got the double on our first night. i called the front desk and they changed it on our 2nd night. so i suggest you should print the other voucher that includes the special inst...me and my cousins stayed here last weekend. there was some mix up with the reservation i made with agoda since the voucher i printed out did not state that we specifically wanted a twin bed so we got the double on our first night. i called the front desk and they changed it on our 2nd night. so i suggest you should print the other voucher that includes the special instructions. the location was a bit far from major tourist spots in bangkok but it was ok since we were 4 and it was still cheap to take a cab. however, people in bangkok are not big on english so it would be easier if you get the hotel's calling card and just give it to the driver. we rode the cab there a lot of times and not even once did the driver immediately know bangkok loft inn. usually they call the hotel from their cellphone to get instructions. some would even make arrangements with you and not turn the meter on. the food in the hotel was good. i got the chicken and chicken rice, got to try the salad, the american breakfast as well as the porridge. the porridge was very tasty and filling for a breakfast. the salad was not such a hit for me, particularly because the dressing was just mayonnaise. their version of hainanese chicken was good as well. they also serve pork bbq, the sauce was separate but it was good as well. i liked that they had a separate "buffet" for the breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea and other drinks. the best part of the stay really is the service. i've stayed on a lot of hotels over the past few years on different countries. but this is the first time that the hotel staff was so friendly to go out of their way and give us each an umbrella since it was raining when we were there. it made up for everything that they lacked. that's really my wow part! :)

The beds are hard, but that is normative in Thailand hotels. The staff was so kind. They gave great advice, worked well with our large group, and even helped us flag taxis for the airport. The massage place that is in the guest house is a bonus--we all had great experiences there. Some reviews complained that the rooms weren't serviced, but we did not have that problem. As long as we turned in our keys to the front desk when we left in the morning, they rooms were cleaned when we returned in the afternoon/evening. I was quite pleased with our stay and would stay there again.

It was a 5-minute walk to Suzuki Avenue which housed a variety of chic food and beverage outlets, a well-stocked supermarket, some cute boutiques and a small night market. We were a 10-minute cab ride away from the nearest MRT / BTS station and Chatuchak weekend market. A word of caution for guests who have mobility issues as the rooms are located upstairs and the breakfast nook, sun deck and swimming pool are located in narrow places. The rooms were spacious and cosy. Beds were clean, soft and comfortable. Pillows and comforters were fluffy and didn't trigger my sinus allergies. We were provided with 4 complimentary bottles of water each day which is 2 more than your average hotel. There was cable and excellent tv reception on the flat screen tv. We were served a simple but sufficient breakfast of toast with butter and marmalade, a couple of eggs sunny side up, sausages, orange juice and coffee / tea every morning. Nothing fussy and definitely no wasteful buffets (yay!). One weird thing: the orange juice was salty. On our last day, there was a power outtage and water supply was cut. So that explains the big clay water container in the bathroom and torchlight on the dresser! Otherwise, we loved this place. The friendly staffers were a delight and certainly very helpful in providing us with travel tips and advice.

Honey House 2 has become my go-to place to stay in Bangkok when I am on a strict budget. It's clean, has free wi-fi, a fridge and is super close to convenience stores. Soi Cowboy (everyone seems to know where that is) is only roughly a ten minute walk away. It would probably cost 40 baht to get there by cab. That said, it's still right in the thick of things. The street (Soi 22) has plenty to offer, Thai and Western food and all the things you'd expect of Bangkok. The next time I am passing through Bangkok I'll be staying here again.

Comparing the 2 hotels which both fall under the same price range,Darjelling Boutique is a better choice because it is near the main area of shopping yet hide away from the red light district (Clubbing) area.Through not on the main road,it is very near to the main road,which is very good as it rain when I was going back to the hotel I am mostly cover when taking public transport BTS. The room is very well furnish with nice deco and many TV channels to watch from,the bathroom is big and clean with a nice bathtub. The cons:1)hot water pressure difficult to control so you may waste time adjusting the hot water to your liking as it was too cold for me most of the time.But that to say at least it is working,comparing with other hotels of this price range. 2)On my day there,I didn't know they'll not make up the bed if I didn't put that notice there which I only found out on the 2nd day.Cause we couldn't sleep at all as the lying on the bed make the skin so itchy but the bed looks so clean...I don't know what happen but I found the slip to make the bed on the second morning and after they make the bed,it was comfortable to sleep on the 2nd night. 3)The safe in my room is faulty,we had the reception come up a few time to demo how to use it but everytime after he left it become faulty again but we decided to stop troubling the reception and give up after several tries on the first day. They have a jucuzzi pool on the first floor but no one seems to be using at all since we pass by there many times.

Hotel is safe. Khaosan Rd itself is a good location because unlike Sukumvit there is good food available at all hours of the day, including cheap and yummy street food. This is key when flying in late or combating jet lag. Granted Khaosan is quite the party scene, but you can choose your level of involvement. The only set back with this hotel is that there is no pool. Nonetheless we have stayed here about 4 times and will stay here on our future trips to BKK

i first stayed at the mhc a few months ago. . it’s nice to see all these friendly faces again. i was immediately recognized by all the staff. the mhc has made strife in being a unique guest house, thanks to the long hours captain rathan spends making his place the best g/h in bkk. it’s like a breath of fresh air staying here. the construction opposite is now completed...i first stayed at the mhc a few months ago. . it’s nice to see all these friendly faces again. i was immediately recognized by all the staff. the mhc has made strife in being a unique guest house, thanks to the long hours captain rathan spends making his place the best g/h in bkk. it’s like a breath of fresh air staying here. the construction opposite is now completed and the tranquility has returned. the services offered are way beyond renting a room. the price you pay is indeed great value. miss ka and max spend so much time helping the guest with all their transport and sightseeing requirements. not always appreciated. i heard no abuses to staff and they all praised the kindness of the managers. i stayed here the same time as mr.smith whose review appears below. he booked a single room for 2 nights and on each night tried to smuggle a working girl into his room. both times captain rathan pointed out a single room is for one person only. he extended his stay an extra 2 days,if he disliked the manager so much why did he stay on? no single room was available, so max gave him a larger double room at no extra cost. he seems to have missed that. he complained about the price of everything . he requested some printing. captain rathan stopped his work, and used his computer to print mr. smith’s 5 colored letters. mr. smith took the printing and offered no payment. i was there and saw it all. adam smith accepted the manager’s hospitality, went away and wrote his review. what a nice man. i think his remarks of the hotel and its owner is grossly unfair. i strongly recommend the mhc.

I needed a place for an over night stay. So I was after a cheap place in Bangkok. It was certainly that, cheap. But I was very surprised and happy with the hotel. It was clean and quite. The bed was a bit hard but I have found hard beds are a thing and quite common in the cheaper hotels . it was a great stays for 5 nights. 11 of us, occupied all the 5 double rooms and a single room. the rooms are spacious even for single rooms. every rooms with different design themes. the rooms are clean and warm. the owner, Greg is very helpful and patiently explain to me via email prior reservation. he answered to all my questions and i even get to know the whole bui...it was a great stays for 5 nights. 11 of us, occupied all the 5 double rooms and a single room. the rooms are spacious even for single rooms. every rooms with different design themes. the rooms are clean and warm. the owner, Greg is very helpful and patiently explain to me via email prior reservation. he answered to all my questions and i even get to know the whole building structural before reaching the guest house. we were the lucky one to get to enjoy the simple breakfast on the rooftop although Greg canceled the breakfast due to some reasons. but we booked earlier, so we still be honored by the same breakfast. Although we only stayed for 5 nights, Greg offered room service and changed for the bed sheets, even for our last night stay. i sure will come back to this cozy guest house.

They readily wrote out in Thai, street names and other locations for folk needing to get taxis (where drivers speak virtually no English). I couldn't have been happier as a solo traveler wanting modestly priced accommodation in a central location where I could mix business with pleasure. If I have to nitpick, the breakfasts are a tad ordinary/repetitive and the TV channels minimal, but you cant have everything and as a value for money proposition its hard to beat. Tip: go for a room on the 4th or 5th floors at the back of the hotel as they are the quietest.

The quality of the food needs to be factored in to the over all cost when you are looking at the price of this guest house. If they were not so good then I would feel that I was paying too much. As it is I think the price pretty fair. I am not so sure about the boutique label. Yes some of the decor has that quirky nature (that nicely reflects Easterah's character) but maybe it needs just a touch more polish to reach that niche boutique feel.Sound travelled very easily through the woode3n floor. We were asked to be quite (our daughter was dancing) and in turn were woken at 5:30 am. I went down to ask the lads to turn the music down - which they did. Unfortunatly they kept the base tones as load as ever. You are quite a way from the central action, but our children loved the swimming pool on the roof at the local mall. They were not too bothered by the more cultural sights that Bangkok has to offer. Water taxis will take you to a spit from Siam centre for 20 baht from just down the road. We would come back here, and hopefully will when we need to fly out of Bangkok.

I got a good deal for a superior room and found it comfortable and nice. I especially liked the spacious bathroom with nice design. Definitely one of the better affordable places in the area! For me the only downside was the location right in the middle of Khao San Road, as every time you go to the hotel you have to make your way through the crowds. However, I didn't think the hotel was noisy at all despite the location.

It had a big comfortable couch near my bed and a very good working desk. The bed was comfortable with many pillows. The security system was very good. I am a woman traveling alone and I feel safe here. The lady taking care of the place was helpful with what I need and recommended me a very good place to fix my computer notebook. They even allowed me to have a bit of a free late-checkout. I really recommend the place to anyone who have business to do around the area. By the way, plenty of cheap and good food to eat on this street. The place is close to the church so it has a calm atmosphere when looking out the window or stand on the balcony.

There's a whole stretch of night market along Silom Ave in case you don't make it to Chatuchak (if you bargain hard enough you can get a better price here than Chatuchak on some common souvenirs). There were no tissues in the room, and the small, short glasses were too small to hold toothbrush, razor, etc. Two bath towels but no hand towel or washcloth, which seems to be typical in small hotels. It's an old wooden house with beautiful wood floors throughout. They ask you to leave your shoes in the courtyard and go barefoot or in socks inside. The courtyard is covered in blue-and-white tiles with a gentle wall fountain on one side, greenery, and big floor fans to provide a welcome breeze. Breakfast is wonderful, including fresh fruit with each of the three menu choices and excellent coffee. Baan Dinso is located two short turns off a trafficked street, which means it's quiet but also that many taxes don't know where it is. You'll definitely need the handy provided map. It's not an affluent area -- one of the three windows in my room overlooked tin roofs -- but it's colorful, authentic, and real, and inhabited by scruffy semi-feral cats, one of whom liked to perch on the green Baan Dinso sign just outside the courtyard gate. It's close to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, National Museum, National Gallery, and river ferry stops, all within a short walk or relatively expensive tuk- tuk ride (metered taxis are cheap and air-conditioned). Staff were wonderful, called taxis for us and even helped us flag down taxis. Definitely good value for money.

After checking out of the hostel, we were still planning on doing a few things around town before leaving, so we asked where we could leave our luggage. The guy at the front desk showed us that they have a small room down the hall behind the desk where they store luggage for free! It was very nice to be able to leave our large bags there while walking around town some more. The workers at Hi. Mid Bangkok were all very nice and helpful, and they also had maps of Bangkok that were free. They spoke good English, too! In the mornings, they had cereal, milk, and toast with jelly for breakfast. A couple of other things that were great about the location of this hostel was that there was a 7-Eleven just about a block away, and there was also a drinking water machine just a few steps away in the ally that you could use to refill large water bottles for only 1 bht! My friends and I were very happy with this hostel/hotel, and we even chose to stay there an extra night. The AC worked well, and so did the hot showers and wifi. I would highly recommend the Hi. Mid Bangkok Hostel to anyone looking for a cheap but nice place to stay in Bangkok.

The all-day dinning restaurant is another relaxing place where you can sit, chat and read for 24 hours. Ice-cream and chilled water are provided without charge as a refreshment all the day. The service is exceptional. After our reservation, we received a detailed email telling us the location, transporation and contact method which was very useful. When we arrived the pier, we were impressed that they sent a staff to pick us up and escorted us to the tree house. When we checked out, Joey, who is a nice owner, also sent a staff to assist us to leave and take a taxi. Actually, during the whole stay, the service there is outstanding that cannot be better!

Nothing was too much trouble and all was as tho. we were family. Just make sure you tell your taxi driver to ring Mrs Phurahong for directions to make things easy.

Staying at Baan Manusarn was the right decision! This guest house is super charming, has big and beautiful rooms (and we loved the wooden floors) with clean bathrooms. It is perfectly located, not too far and not too close from Khao San Road and there are plenty of good and cheap restaurants around. Attentive, professional and always so pleasant, the staff of Korbua house made our trip to Bangkok as great as it was. They never hesitated to share a friendly conversation and give us information about various attractions in the city. Most impressively, they were always one step ahead of us anticipating our needs - the mark of true quality service. The front desk attendant, Walloweese, was an absolute gem. The hotel also boasts a wonderful massage parlor right next door that offers great massages for a very reasonable price. We also appreciated that it was indoors with air conditioning and was extremely clean unlike many of the other massage parlors we had seen in town. The restaurant at the hotel is wonderful as well. After visiting other restaurants in the Khao San and Rambuttri districts, we kept coming back to the hotel restaurant because of its great food, service and cleanliness. The rooms themselves were also a treat. Immaculately clean and newly renovated, we felt it perfectly served our needs. There is also a large rain shower head in the bathroom. We would be more than happy to have the opportunity to stay at Korbua house again in the future. We send our most sincere thanks to the staff of Korbua house for making our stay in Bangkok so wonderful!

I really liked it here. I based my scores around the price which was about 300 baht. You can get a much more luxurious hotel, but not for 300 baht a night. This hotel compares well to a hostel, you have some common areas with a TV (with international channels) and a rooftop area which has a great view of Bangkok at night. This quiet street has many very good restaurants and a few beer/wine bars, but it isn't crazy like nana or patpong. I don't think I would bring my family here, the street doesn't have a safe pavement to walk along. But if you want a cheap hostel type social experience, without your belongings being stolen, or someone drawing on your face while you sleep, or finding some stranger sleeping in your bed - then this is a great option for you. I will stay here again!

The room itself was characterful and even had a small courtyard. It was clean and tidy and comfortable. Breakfast you had to request what you wanted the night before which was fine as you got what you wanted. The location is a bit away from the city centre but near the palace. The owner and staff were brilliant. Couldn't do enough for you. Every time we left the place they would come outside and hail a cab for you and speak to the driver. That way we knew exactly either how much it was going to cost or if it was going on a meter. Would recommend. Enjoy your stay!

Me and two of my friends came to Bangkok to sightsee and get a sense of the local nightlife and this hotel fit the purpose really well. The rooms were very tidy, but a bit small. We booked a triple standard room and the three single beds were so close that you we could not even walk between them. However, since we did not come to spend time in the hotel, it was ok. The walls and the doors were really thin as well - we could hear people walking and talking not only in the corridors, but also in the other rooms. However, since we spent most of our days walking around the city, when we came we were so tired that the sounds really did not matter at all, we just fell asleep instantly. If you are a budget traveller and you are searching for a hotel where only to sleep and not to spend your day, this is the place for you.

I live in Bangkok. Chaeng Wattana traffic is horrendous. I stay here when I have big projects at Jasmine Tower next door. This was my second stay in Bangkok, and this location was the best in Bangkok and it is the center of the city. This location is the center for the Old town, Pratunam market, Chatuchak market, Siam, Silom and Sukumwith! Walking distance to all major shopping malls! Staff were super friendly and good breakfast as well. The stay at kritthai was fabulous! Even though its 3 star hotel, we feel it surpasses our expectations. The luxury triple room we had booked was very clean and neat. It was not very spacious but it's sufficient for my family of 4. 1 King size bed and 1 single bed. Breakfast was simple but good. The staff are very friendly and kind. Only grouse was the WiFi. We had to reset the WiFi password several times and feedbacked to office. Please do something about this. The hotel is just a the door step of BTS - National Stadium. Do note that the entrance to lobby is through 2 flights of steps. They have an elevator but its through their carpark. Its a small hotel so they only have 9 levels.

This is an awesome little guesthouse right in the middle of Bangkok but you wouldn't even know it because it is so quiet and peaceful. It is a great stay for couples and the location is right next to BTS which makes getting around a breeze. This a true gem in such a big city like Bangkok, we will definitely be staying there again on our next trip and hopefully stay longer next time
