My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen in Luohu District was exceptional. Steps from MixC Shopping Mall, its prime location made exploring easy. The warm staff welcomed me with efficient check-in. My Grand Room, with floor-to-ceiling city views, had a plush bed and a luxurious marble bathroom with a rain shower. Club access offered lounge perks like evening cocktails. The Show Kitchen’s breakfast buffet—dim sum, fresh fruits, and more—was a delight. The spa’s massage was rejuvenating, and the outdoor pool was refreshing. Concierge Kitty arranged swift transport to Dongmen. Spotless, attentive, and vibrant, it’s a stay I’d repeat.
I recently stayed at the hotel and overall, I was quite satisfied with my experience. The room was impeccably clean, the service was excellent, and the staff was exceptionally friendly throughout my stay. However, the only downside was the pillows, which were a bit too soft for my liking. If the hotel could improve on the pillow quality, it would enhance the overall comfort of the stay. Despite this minor issue, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again when visiting Shenzhen in the future.

It's a great value 5* hotel close to the HK border. The restaurants in the hotel are good, and it is connected to a shopping mall with some more food options. Other than the mall, there isn't much in the immediate area.

“Disappointment at Grand Hyatt”
My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt was far from the luxurious experience I had anticipated. From the moment we arrived, the lack of professionalism and organization was evident, leading to a series of disappointments that overshadowed our trip. We booked two rooms: one for my husband and me, and another for our two teenage children. Upon arrival, we were met with a long check-in queue that moved extremely slowly. The guests ahead of us were visibly frustrated, having already waited 40 minutes. When I approached a member of the staff for assistance, they casually directed us to a separate floor designated for members to check in. While I appreciated the effort to expedite our check-in, the outcome was not what we expected. Despite having called in advance to confirm that we would be placed on the same floor, we were informed that this was not possible. I was disappointed, as I had chosen the Grand Hyatt based on this assurance. After a further 20 minutes of waiting, our check-in was finally completed. In the rush, I neglected to confirm the bed configuration for our children's room. I had specifically requested two single beds, as my children are quite active and needed their own sleeping space after our daily activities. Later that evening, when we returned to the hotel, we discovered that our children’s room had only one double bed. I immediately contacted the reception for assistance, but the staff member I spoke with seemed to struggle to understand my request, despite my attempts to communicate in Chinese. I was placed on hold multiple times, and after ten frustrating minutes, I hung up, hoping for a callback with a resolution. Fortunately, a manager named Mr. Lee reached out to us shortly thereafter. He was friendly and professional, and after assessing the situation, he offered a temporary solution by providing an extra pad for one of the children. However, this was not my intention when booking two separate rooms; my priority was to ensure my children had a comfortable night's sleep. The temporary bed proved to be uncomfortable, which affected their rest. The following morning, we went to breakfast, only to find the dining area overcrowded and noisy, with children running wild. The lack of staff supervision made for an unpleasant experience, as parents seemed unable to control their children in the buffet area. Additionally, the food quality did not meet expectations; the cheese was old and dried out, and the variety of salads was limited to only two types of lettuce. While there were plenty of selections for Chinese cuisine, the options for Western dishes were disappointingly few. The only highlight was the juice, which was refreshing and offered a good selection. Overall, my experience at the Grand Hyatt did not meet my expectations. The disorganization, untrained staff, and uncomfortable accommodations made it feel unworthy of the price we paid. I would not recommend this hotel, as it failed to provide the quality service and comfort that should be standard at such a prestigious establishment.
