Financial District hotels & places to stay

Our hotel room (615) located on the 6th floor had a max capacity of 3. There was a well equipped kitchen including oven, microwave and dishwasher, a comfortable queen size bed and a roll out single bed for my teenage son. This was set up in the seating area by the door so he had a degree of privacy. In addition there was a good sized seating, dining area and bathroom where L'occitaine products were provided. The hotel is located within walking distance of many subway lines which can take you uptown (Wall St 2,3, is opposite the front entrance, Broad St J, Z is a 5 minute walk round the corner by the Stock Exchange, Wall St 4,5 is a ten minute walk and Rector 1 also a ten minute walk). Being in the Financial district meant it was quiter at night which we found preferable. Staff were happy to give directions and print off maps. They also stored luggage after check out for late afternoon collection later that day. Good value for money for the facilities and space. Would use again.

Although one of our rooms was not what we paid for or told we were getting by the booking company (You), this was down to the booking company, not the hotel, but the hotel did everything they could on their end to make our stay as great as possible. This is a 3 star hotel with 4 star and 5 star service. I travel a lot and do a lot of reviews so know what to expect from hotels at 4 and 5 star. The room was always tidy and the bed comfortable. The rooms were what you would expect in any financial district and not small at all but ours was big enough to accommodate two people. A bit of advice is if booking for two people, go for a kingsize room if they can share a big bed together as cheaper than the double bed room we booked (and did not get thanks to the booking company). Suggest you book with hotel direct as better service and get what you pay for and matter can be dealt with straight away. If you carry medical supplies and need a fridge, stay somewhere else as no mini fridge in room.

The check in and check out processes were very easy, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (lots of tourist information and directions), the location was great (2 blocks to the 2 and 3 line subway station, nearby restaurants and bars, quiet over the holiday weekend-business district), the public spaces & the rooms were large and CLEAN, the workout facilities were large and nice, with complimentary waters and fresh apples, there was an on-site bar and restaurant (although, we did not visit these, they both looked nice), the "above and beyonds" were FANTASTIC: complimentary public space and room wi-fi, complimentary mini-bar, umbrellas and bicycles for guests, etc., will definitely stay in this hotel or other Andaz brand hotels in different locations in the future!

I really enjoyed staying here. The old school wood paneling and decorations have a certain charm. It’s a part of New York that’s slowly slipping away. If you want lots of glitz this isn’t for you. You’re staying here because you want reliable staff, a comfortable room, with amenities that are exactly the way it is described. It’s a good value for the price. It is close to all downtown trains and food. We stayed here because we were traveling both into upper Manhattan and Brooklyn. I also really just love downtown. The Financial District used to be a ghost town, but that’s not really the case anymore. There are all kinds of bars and restaurants, and even some outdoor seating on tables setup on cobblestone streets just around the corner. Do yourself a favor and go walk Battery Park at night. Get bagels at Leo’s. Finally, because of its location in the FiDi, you don’t have to worry about too much street noise at night. I would definitely stay here again.

This ended being an excellent choice for our weeklong trip to NYC. The staff was inviting, engaging and the facilities overall were very good. Other than a shower door that wouldn't stay closed, I can't think of a bad thing. Beware that they require a $50 security deposit per night of stay which is supposed to be refunded at the end of your stay. Reminds me, I need to check on my credit...I think this was due to being booked via Agoda as I have never had this at another Hilton owned property. Also, we weren't able to get HiltonHonor's Points because of the Third Party booking.

We just came back from the most amazing weekend spent at the Club Quarters. First of all, the location is fantastic - right in the heart of the financial district, great dining options nearby (check out Stone Street for some great options, literally 2 mins walk away) with the World Trade Centre buildings and 9/11 Memorial just a stones throw away. Only 5/10 minutes from the Staten Island Ferry port, South Street Seaport and other great activities too. The hotel itself was fantastic, providing snacks/drinks all through the day/night which was perfect for grabbing a little something on the go. The wifi was fantastic and all the staff were so lovely. Special shoutout to Lydia, who completely made our trip - she went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay and made my birthday weekend even more magical - an absolute credit to the company. The wonderful staff really made the whole experience for us, so a huge thank you. 10/10!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Wagner Hotel for a total 6 days. 3 days of business and days of vacation. I have to say it was one of my best experiences in a very long time. I travel a 4 months out of the year for work and it was the first time in years were the hotel staff made it their business to know who you were, what you liked to drink, and what paper you like to read. From the time I arrived the bell man greeted me from my town car collected my luggage asked me how my flight was and engaged with me from the start of my stay. When checking in Yaya, the front desk manager was able to quickly get my room and gave me a tour of the property showing me were the business center was and were I could have meeting during the duration of my stay. After three days of business I had the pleasure of having my girlfriend come stay with me from Los Angeles and Maggie at the front desk was able to provide me with an upgrade to a beautiful Liberty Suite with breath taking views.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. 1. The staff were VERY friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. 2. The location is perfect - few steps to World Trade Center, financial district and about 30 minute walk to Tribeca, Soho and Little Italy - and of course subway station few steps away. 3. The room was comfortable and clean. 4. They have a snack bar at the lobby (stocked at all times) with a cappuccino and latte machine. And they have an amazing terrace with incredible views.

It was almost perfect. The lounge is really well designed, and the service staff was excellent. The rooms were big and comfortable, with really lush toilet and bath area. The bed was also really comfortable and we had a really great stay at Conrad. Room service was prompt and wifi was useful. Although the hotel is not right next to a Metro station, it is a nice walk from Conrad to Battery Park and Financial District to the Metro station. Path station is also close by, allowing quick access to Newark. Conrad doesn't disappoint!

We did not understand our payments bill (with taxes) there was also a confusion with another booking made and canceled prior to the new booking. While just trying to understand the bill the receptionist male was very defensive in his responses . I did not think the tone was appropriate or justified. When we were walking pass the reception he looked at us with a lot of hate. I did not understand this kind of behaviour. I actually told him i was not angry but just looking for an explanation for the bill so no reason to feel attacked. The traineer( calvin) was lovely though. He looked inconfortable with the response of the receptionist. He was not a good exemple for this trainee. We booked a taxi to the airport from the hotel. The taxi driver didnt even give us a proper receipt. The barhroom floor and walls had marks of humidity( black and yellow marks) we asked the cleaner to check it but it stayed that way the whole week.. the bedroom was clean though.

I live in Yonkers and had two of my girlfriends visiting from Fort Lauderdale, so we decided to get a hotel close to everything fun in the city. We loved our stay here. Its close to the trains, excellent and friendly staff who were very accommodating and the hotel was very clean. I stayed at the aloft in Cleveland and enjoyed it so much I decided to check out the one here in the city. Thanks for a great experience!
