“The air conditioner in the room is not cold enough.”
I am going with two adults and a 1-year-old child. At first, I was worried because I heard there are a lot of mosquitoes, and the staff mentioned it during check-in. I prepared to stick mosquito repellent on my child's clothes, luckily my child didn't get bitten, but on the other hand, the mother was badly bitten. I booked a beachfront bungalow; the room is spacious and comfortable, but there is a tree blocking the view. Our room is 1204 with a 2-horsepower air conditioner, but it was really hot; I don't know if it's because it's sunny in May, but my little boy had to run around shirtless in the room because he couldn't sleep. The whole family sat looking at each other, and finally, we went out to the beach to avoid the heat, sitting from 2 PM until 6 PM, resulting in my husband getting sick and my son coughing. Apart from the heat in the room, everything else was very good, the bathroom was spacious, everything was perfect, and the breakfast was 5-star quality, so for me, it was good enough. I had stayed for 2 nights at Dalat Wonder resort with a very disappointing breakfast buffet, so I was really satisfied with Hontam resort even though I didn't use many facilities because I had to take care of my child, but I appreciate the attention to detail, fresh and diverse materials. In the evening, we also went to the Sea Breeze restaurant, but the menu wasn’t suitable for my family; luckily, they had a set of Vietnamese rice dishes with 7 items which was okay; each guest pays 350,000 VND, the food was to our liking, worth the experience. I stayed for 2 nights and had the Vietnamese rice set both nights; if anyone is not busy with small children, they can take a canoe to Nha Trang city for dinner, which is convenient. Overall, considering the price of 2.1 million VND per night that I managed to find for a 45m2 room on such a beautiful beach island, it is worth it since my family only needs a place to relax without being too picky about food, so this place is suitable. However, for those who enjoy many fun activities and a variety of dining options, this is not the best choice. I recommend it for those who like a quiet place to relax, swim, and have simple meals.
