They did a nice job to give visitors, a old-fashioned, Philippine/Spanish culture atmosphere. It's more like a old fashion Filipino theme park without rides. I'm absolutely great for picture taking, you felt stepped back in time to the Spanish era of the Philippines. The old buildings were wonderful and restored very well. The rooms are average, no hot water! I was shocked there was no hot water in the sink or in the shower. I would have thought they had hot water in the rooms, but found out it's just whatever temperature the water is that's it, just like in a province . All the buildings on this large property are old, that's what makes them look so authentic and nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The list of activities are extremely expensive, especially if you have a family paying for each person. The big problem and disappointment was lack of food options. They have 3 restaurants, Spanish, Italian and a Filipino. All have no selection of choices on their menus. The prices were extremely high and servings are so tiny you need to double order everything or you won't have enough food. Spanish restaurant had no tacos, no burrito, no nacho chips, yet was supposed to be a Spanish restaurant. The Italian restaurant was the same, only a few food choices, high prices with extremely tiny portions. Ordered spinach ravioli, plate had 5 tiny ravioli pieces that I finished in less than 5 minutes. I was still hungry. would There's nowhere else to eat, outside the resort nothing but small sari sari stores. very expensive and disappointing. The other restaurant was Filipino food and very overpriced. The fact, everyone paid a lot of money to be there, no reason to overcharge on food. Poor selection, tiny portions and expensive. On a positive note, their breakfast buffet was actually good. Just basic selections, but a buffet breakfast, you can get enough food to feel full. Because of the lack of food, The only reason we would go back is for picture in the future future. But now we're smart, we would take our own food that didn't need to be cooked. If you want to experience a place that feels like Europe with a Spanish look, ambience and buildings are very nice! The entire resort is bsolutely great for picture taking. However, I suggest Only staying one night and bring plenty of your own food that does not require cooking to sustain you while you're there. They have small refrigerators in the rooms with the hot water kettle. Instant noodles, sandwiches, things like that would be best. Overall, property is great for picture taking, buildings are beautiful in their old-fashioned state. They desperately need to add more food options that reasonably priced. Nobody was happy with the food choices, complaining about the high prices and lack of selection. Everyone already paid a premium price to stay at your resort. Staff in each of those restaurants had no idea about their type of food. When I asked if they have tacos or burritos, they had no idea what I was talking about in a Spanish restaurant. lol.. Trust me, bring your own food that doesn't require cooking. You have a refrigerator and hot water kettle. They need hot water for showers, I was shocked none of the rooms had hot water. This is not a province. This is a five star resort. Unless ours was broken, but I didn't waste my time complaining. We had no hot water the entire time in sink or in the shower. Hope they read my review and realize they need to make some changes. Recommend staying one night, Bring your own food. Go for picture taking and learning about Filipino culture. That's what made it worthwhile...

Booked our room just the night before our trip as I was not sure where our guests, a couple from the US would want to go during their brief stay with us. Fortunately it was not the peak season. I’m sure I didn’t get the best deal as I paid P25k for 5 pax in one room with 3 queen beds and 2 T&B. The place is a pleasant surprise to us. We were brought back to the Spanish era here in our country. From the overall ambience of the place with its recreated bridges, cobblestoned roads, authentic heritage houses, staff uniforms to the well thought and prepared traditional activities i.e. cultural presentation and original Filipino street games. Plus points: the kalesa and balsa rides. The balsa ride actually is a motorized boat which runs through the river in the middle of the property. The boat man is a funny guy who also served as our tour guide. Downside: there was karaoke singing somewhere in the open middle ground until midnight. T&B needs to be improved. They are clean but there is no hot water in the shower, no towel / clothes hooks near the shower area, no tissue and soap holders. Overall I give 4 stars to this place.

Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Accomodating Staff - You’re allowed to roam around the place prior your booking. In our case, they let us check-in early (3 hrs prior our booking) - The whole place is clean and so is the room. - Great ambiance - 24/7 Reception availability - Accepts card payment for activities/ rentals - Breakfast Buffet - Free Parking Cons: - You cannot bring your car inside. You have to leave it at the designated parking area. Note: Free ride to take you from one place to another (via Jeep). The driver will help you bring your things to your room. - Everything is expensive. Like a slipper worth Php 50-100 would cost you Php 450 in cash, Php 500 if card. - No utensils available. You cannot buy from stores within the vicinity. - Convenience store is far from the place. It’s still a great stay overall as we’re able to tolerate all the cons listed.

We were so delighted as our casa was upgraded to a casa with private pool due to unforseen circumstances. Breakfast buffet was good and has several choices. The staff were all friendly and very willing to assist specilly Monica from the reception. She helped me arranged a surprise birthday cake for my mom who is celebrating her birthday. Since we are with Three senior citizens, they are all accommodating with our minor request. Although we were not able to try the beach due to inclement weather and high waves, we still enjoyed the beautiful view.. Our rooms in La Ribera were all clean.
