Where to stay in Downtown Miami / City Center
Downtown Miami / City Center hotels & accommodations
Had it not this hotel, our first time to visit Miami won't be truly fulfilling. The hotel staff was kind enough to give us a room with a nice location of the river. We walked to the American Airlines Arena the home of the Miami Heat Team + the Miami Beach was truly amazing. Thank you Agoda!
the hotel is in downtown miami which is a run-down part of town with little appeal. the art museum is close, other than that there is nothing much else close by. shops and restaurants in brickell are about 10 minutes driving away, the closest beaches are in miami beach 20 minutes driving away. the hotel is clean, bed is comfortable. my room was marketed as having ‚cit...
I stayed one night in this lovely hotel on Dec. 17, 2012. Everything is good. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Miami, very close to port area and the city center. The service is good, and the receptionists were very friendly. Prices are quite competitive if you make your booking well in advance.
This is a great, neat and tidy spot to stay. We only stayed one night after a cruise, nice large bed, decent bathroom and great connection to the train to the airport. Seemed like a safe area in the time we were there, close to a nice open air shopping centre. Staff were all really polite and gave us some great tips on where to shop/eat close by. Not much personality ...
What makes a great hotel? How about one that I don't even have to think about? What I mean is that if I wanted to go anywhere, (walking or otherwise), everything seemed in close distance while hiding itself away on a quiet street. What I mean is that when I step out of the shower, I can see myself in a square on the mirror that hasn't fogged b/c it's heated. What I me...
Good location, good value. Rooms, breakfast and staff all very good.
Comfortable room, friendly hotel staff, near AAA Arena. Also many good restaurent to choice. Can easily travel to downtown Miami.
Spacious room and very comfortable. Good internet. Nice and helpful staff. Good shuttle service to the airport. Laundry available and iron in room. Breakfast acceptable. Miami rail and bus stations at less than 10 minutes walk. I would stay there again.
The location of the hotel was ideal as it was near the port where we disembarked from our cruise. For that reason, we noticed that most of the guests in this hotel were either "pre-cruise" or "post cruise" given its proximity to the cruise center. On checking-in, the receptionist staff was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. Notably, the staff at the bell-desk was ...
originally we thought we booked a 2-room room for 4 people (all adults), however it turned out to be a 2-bed room and the room was really too small for 4 people to stay (ideally the room can accommodate 4 people). other than this i think this hotel is nice and comfort. they also provide coffee and tea as well as fruit (free) in the morning in lobby. the free metro i...
At the frontdesk they told me My room Was a small one without breakfast. I showed them My voucher (agoda's) That showed That i had a 50 mts room with breakfast. They told me that they received the reservation from booking.com (and then i know that you, from agoda, make the reservations through booking.com). And they said that What they Had from booking.com Was reservat...
it is a great hotel located in downtown Miami and it takes a few minutes walk only to Bayside Marketplace. Also the room is large facing the waterfront. The staff are very friendly.
Amazing view! Well located. I think it was worth every single penny.
Stayed here for a night before a cruise. nice location and only 10 mins from the port. Rooms were clean and pleasant, but a little dated. I'd recommend EB Hotel, less money and very large rooms with all the mod-cons.
Unfortunately we found a hair in the bath that we asked them to clean and they said they would but then didn't. Checked in quite late and the check in person was really nice but quite slow and was doing other things. It's a small thing but when you have someone checking in so late they just want to do it and be done with it. They also charge $10 per package to accept ...
Con: shower had shampoo and body wash only, no conditioner; water is hard...
The carpet is aod and even they clean it every day, it has dust, for people with allergys it is not good.
The chiral is very clean and nice. Loved the bathroom was split with a sink and toilet on one side and a sink and shower on the other. Made it easy to get dressed. But the staff moved so slow. We would literally call 5-6 times about towels and rags because they would say they would bring them and never come. That. was the only bad part
I no longer feel that a room is just a room. The service and the hotel were amazing! I pretty much lived in the pool. I want to fly back to Miami just to stay at that hotel!!!!! Most of the staff were wonderful too. There was a time where I wanted to charge my bill to the room, and the staff kept coming out and acting weird about it. That was a bit strange, and ...
We had a very bad experience at JW Marriott We didn't got the rooms we booked And we had to pay extra because they weren't big enough The alternative rooms were delievered 2 hours later then should And instead of compensation they tried to charge us for breakfast even though it was included in the deal! Never going back there!!!
Metromover station aside, easy access from road, Riverwalk in the back and a good price. Location is one of the best. Saw other hotels in Downtown with same price but I liked the view of this one. Cons: just looks old and tired. Some investment there and could compete with the best. That's management problem. Come on, don't be so maceta. The bad reviews: the owner des...
This seems more of a backpackers place, with lots of homeless people around outside at night. But during the day, it's not far from Bayside which you can start your hop on hop off bus tour, so that was good.
Only positive things regarding this hotel
A great new health and wellness brand from IHG with exercise mats in the rooms. There's also a foam roller (useful after a long flight) and various yoga and other paraphernalia. Staff member Keisha kindly allocated a room based on my room request, and other staff members were similarly helpful and professional. It's close to the airport, with a shuttle every 30 minut...
Very very small pool. Breakfast menu has only a few options. Restaurant at the pool takes 1 hour to make a meal, though the staffs are very nice. Dinner at La Mar is ok, food is good, but be aware of the noise. Cost of valet parking is about usd50/day
Couldn’t sleep all night. Room next store was partying like it was south beach.. Called downstairs they didn’t do anything. Finally woke up at 4 am and checked out. I would have been better off in liberty city..
