Malaysia hotels & accommodations
Still under construction at the upper floors so you can expect some drilling and banging noises. But the price is good. Breakfast is spartan as occupancy is low. Probably it’s the best hotel room I ever stayed in Johor maybe because it’s new. Most other hotels I have stayed in Malaysia tend to get very run down after a short while due to lack of maintenance so this new...
One of the best hotels and hotel experiences iv had was at this hotel! Staff was super friendly and helpful for helping us get around Malaysia! Rooms are super clean just like the pictures with amazing views of the city! Morning breakfast buffet is delicious so is the evening dinner menu a la carte! Definitely recommend this hotel!
We think it can be graded as one of the top hotels in Malaysia. The room is spacious, new and clean. We stayed 3 nights and the room was always clean up very neaty with clean bedlinen throughout. The operators and the receptionists were very courteous and efficient. We really enjoyed our stays and would definitely like to go back during our next visit.
This is one of the Best hotel in Malaysia i have ever stayed. The good thing of hotel is about its location, friendly environment, facilities, attractions and price. I am very much pleased with my last stay at First world hotel. Thank you
Hatten Hotel Melaka delivered way over my expectations. I was worried about parking during school holidays. But we had no issue with lack of parking space. Because the carpark is shared with mall patrons, we locked our car with bar lock and noticed surrounding cars did the same. Booked deluxe suite with interconnecting rooms, fantastic for extended families. And each r...
This is my second time stay at this hotel (The Shore Hotel). Overall EXCELLENT but something I notice that the pool are used also by local (family/group of kids) as they are using entrance from mall/parking (free parking - level 3/3a) and easily can access to level 9 (pool) ONLY via The Shore Hotel without any security control (access card provided to tenant but anyone...
we always like to have short gateaway when we are free. we like travelling to malaysia. but for a short gateaway, its not really convinience for us if we went to place like kl, malaca, genting n etc. we didnt realize that there were great hotel located in johor. when we 1st found out abt the petri pacific, we browse trough their website n its seem like a nice place to ...
The hotel is in an ideal location for both business and shopping. The breakfast provided are well spread with good choice of food. The rooms are well equip with free internet connection. Not many hotel in Malaysia give this free of charge. TYhis allows one to stay connected when required. The hotel is situated in an location easily accesible to spirint express to go to...
The stay was good. Although we love our room, a leak at the roof forced us to changed room to the beach side unit. The beach side unit was not as clean as the first 2nd-storey unit. Staff were friendly, but they could improve a bit more on response and staff-to-staff communication. Unlike many hotels in Malaysia, this hotel is generally well-maintained. We were happy...
The hotel is strategically located and easily accesses to most shopping areas, eateries except for the bigger malls like Imago, Suria can be a bit far but cabs are readily available. The hotel should consider internet access as a common standard offer in hotels these days due to advancement in information technology. It will be nicer if you add a hidden cost in the r...
Spent a week in the spa suite apartments for the family and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The location was ideal for those seeking to get away from the busy city, while still remain close to amenities. We rented a car at affordable rates from a local car rental company, and used a mobile app called WAZE to get around - driving around was easy since the app had the...
A great place to stay in Georgetown. Only 10 minutes walk away from Penang Road and the Georgetown Heritage area, so you are shielded from the noise, pollution and business of that area. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is among the best among hotels in Malaysia. There are two pools and both are big enough to cater for everyone. There's also a free boat shuttl...
Boom for 1 night and ended up extended for 2 nights in this hotel. This is my honest review and im soo loving it! The room is very spacious, all brand new furniture, got bath room, fully equipped and even got aircond. Stay in highest room for hotel (27th floor) and our room got best view! Looking over the mountain. The room got TV with selection of movie. They even p...
I rarely break over 100 USD per night especially in Malaysia where you can find clean and cheap hotels almost anywhere. The location was wonderful to be able to go out uour balcony and breathe fresh air and nice views at the top. It is with walking distance to visit some honey/ strawberry farms and the market which was the reason I chose this hotel. The buffet breakf...
Perhaps the most positive hotel experience I've had in Malaysia. Everything worked the first time and the room was of a very high standard. Will revisit this property again in the future. Beach is very nice and there are plenty of staff around so you don't feel abandoned like you can in so many hotels in Malaysia. Best hotel experience I've had in Malaysia. Recommended...
Look no further. This is the best valued hotel and is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your visit in Malaysia. The rooms are new and clean. Free shuttle bus rides to Ikea MyTown, Klcc, Pavilion and Sunway Putra makes going to destinations stress free. The hotel is situated right next to a newly built mall. It also has its own swimming pool and gym on...
I booked this hotel as per map's survey initially as it was near the Petronas Tower. Hoping that we can get a room with the tower view. Though it was near the famous tower, the fact that the hotel is facing in a different direction, you cannot really get a nice view. Our room is on the KL Tower side instead and small glimpse of the famous structure. It was a cheap ...
Simply one of the best I've experienced around the world, and definitely the best, the number 1 choice if you are looking to stay in Johor Bahru. Excellent location, just beside KSL shopping, of course you have ksl resort as an option which is located above the shopping mall, but the staff service is nothing compared to the ones at Holiday villa. The cleanliness, the ...
Our staying there is quite good n awesome we don't mind staying there coz near to Lot 10 shopping mall n sungai wang. The room is clean n good condition but sadly my hotel room was facing other building, not sure its hotel or apartment but it can see through ur hotel room from other side. As for breakfast its ok for me even the breakfast food not so much to choose as f...
Though we booked a superior room, we were placed in a suite; comparing to all hotels we've been staying in Asia--the suite was quite spacious. Great hotel to relax after a long tired day of sightseeing Malaysia. Hotel is conveniently located. All walking distance to shopping plazas (Time Squares, Pavillon) or to the monorail. Cons: Though the hotel is centrally...
the hotel is linked with a mall and theme park which is really the best place to be in malaysia to experience the best attraction in asia. we are satisfied with the service and the customer support and accommodation of the staff from arrival to our departure. we were even given an extension until 7pm because we are flying out late that night. we truly enjoyed our sta...
It seems a little bit pricey for the average traveler but Kota Kinabalu is more expensive than Peninsular Malaysia in general and it costs far less than Meridien. But if you have a bit to spare, it's well worth it for the size of the room, the amenities and the location is fantastic. Lots of food options within in walking distance - if you need to get to a mall Centrep...
I booked this hotel for the 2nd time as the 1st time was with good memories, however we had to wait for more than 1 hour to check in to our room. We were a group of 9 with 2 elderlies and we arrived there around 3pm which is hotel's check-in time. Although they were aware of my arrival time which was supposed to be around 1 pm but due to flight delay, we reached there...
I was staying there with my husband for 2 day, consider was the first trip after we married so we called it pre- honeymoon. I send email to the resort 3 days before we arrived for some queries but no respond, was disappointed and commented on tripadvisor.com. But the way when we arrived and checked in, the Friendly receptionist called the floor manager to attend to us ...

Best Family motel- spacious rooms and complete with basic amenities and with great value for money. This motel is great stopover if you coming to Langkawi for shopping and sightseeing. But If you want to relax and enjoy resort/hotel facilities (pool/spa/etc), please book elsewhere as this motel is not for you.
I've stayed at nearly every hotel in Bukit Bintang. I can say with great integrity that this is the best Value for the money and quality. There are many beautiful lobbies around but it's the room that counts. Good location, comfortable bed, bright lighting, adequate AC, fresh smelling, good water pressure, hot shower, no bugs, safety. These are the things I look f...
The Icon Hostel is really comfortable n clean with nice locker n lock. I checked in earlier in the morning but the owner lemme in without any charge. He is supper humble n helpful. The place is really close with Plza Rakyat LRT beside Puduraya mall. Just walk less than 10 minutes. You can choose Masjid Jamek LRT also but little bit far. Need Grab or other online Taxi t...
internet was spotty but that's normal in Malaysia. interesting location but probably not the best, is a small town anyway. not the cleanest but decent. only choose this because I liked the first location in KL
Deluxe Room : Do NOT book this room, it doesn't exist. They only have standard rooms and dorm rooms, not sure why the hotel listed Deluxe rooms on Agoda and they had to refund some of my money. They were VERY NICE about the whole thing as it's a mistake that they will fix soon I'm sure. VALUE: Amazing value but you do get what you pay for. Queen bed with about ...
Booked 1 night and stayed 2 more. Extremely good value in a gorgeous city. The place is a female student boarding house and we visited during university holidays so practically had the entire complex to ourselves. Full kitchen and coin operated washing machines perfect for those travelling on a budget.
I've stayed here twice now because the value for what you get is just too good to pass up. Pros: - cheap - facilities were great: air conditioning, comfy beds, private bathrooms with hot showers, tv and fridge - great restaurant with cheap food in the lobby - very friendly staff Cons: - it's a bit out of the way, about a 15 minute walk to central Sandakan - not muc...

if have another rooms left in agoda apps, please check again with hotel due to agoda apps or hotel are wrong updated. i really angry since i book 2 rooms but i get only 1 room & i need pay additional money for new rooms. so disappointing. i will never stay at this hotel
My Hostel Muntri was a great accommodation experience. The staff was extremely helpful and generous, I hadn't exchanged my money to ringett yet and they still let me check in and stay the night and pay the next day. It was a bit hard to find, but once I found it the location was great. I felt super safe and comfortable here and walking back at night while alone. The on...
Easy to locate right next to KS Minimart/Klinik Wong in Brinchang, RM10 taxi from Tanah Rata, plenty eateries nearby. Big room, great price, cleanliness was impeccable, and they had great TV channels plus free flow tea. The best was the staff - easy check in (they already had my name ready on their list from Agoda and I felt very welcomed the moment I walked in), helpe...
I’ll rate 11/10 if they allow me. First off, let’s start with the location. It is strategically located in the heart of chinatown, where food is abundant, just a stone throw away from petaling street and a short walk to the mrt/ lrt station. Plus you get to ride the free GoKL bus! Next, the facilities of the hostel. The hostel is equipped with A/C that turn on all da...
We booked a room in Raizzys with shared bathroom facilities. The room itself was basic but very clean. Our room also came with a lockable wardrobe. Security in general is good as you need a key code to get into the building in the first place. There is a common room with a TV and computer with free wifi. There is unlimited tea and coffee and you get bread in the mornin...
First time stay guesthouse, scare at the beginning, but after that found out is not bad. Like it. Unless the toilet been fixed? Is good also the guesthouse provide us washing machine, so that we can bring less cloth. But not good cause didnt provide much hanger for us, and a place for us to hang wet cloth(i have to hang it in the room and dry with aircond and fan). And...
In this hotel (guesthouse) feels like home because the owner treats guests if she is their mom, always caring and helpful, and always ready to share some foods which was brought by her kids. I also asked her few advices about how to find some staff I needed and she found it for me. The kitchen is nice and clean and I could use anytime, to make tea or eat something, eve...
If you're taking the bus from the airport, get off at Horizon Hotel. +Lots of cheap places to eat nearby +Within walking distance: Wisma Merdeka (money changers w/ good rates are here), Jesselton Port, Filipino Market, Night Food Market, Gaya Street Sunday Market, Waterfront, Signal Hill, Clock Tower, City Hall (where vans going to Ranau, Kundasang, etc are parked) +S...
Im from west malaysia, stayed there for three nights. That was my first trip on my own. ;-) My first concern was Cleanliness.. and it was very clean! Location is superb, I can easily walk to the jetty to take a boat. Have not much to complain, really. And I really like the breakfast. Simple, delicious.
It is a really nice hostel in a good central location. The room and shared bathrooms are extremally nice and clean. The included breakfast is tasty (it was usually a toast bread, jam, fruits, cake and sometimes sausages so not too bad!). There is also a really tasty restaurant downstairs with the best Laksa in Malaysia!
Perfect location--Walking distance from Hang Tuah station, Bukit Bintang area, Berjaya Times square, mamak (cheap local eatery with delish food) and convenience store. They have basic facilities but all are new and working perfectly. (AC, hot shower, TV, safe). The bed was comfortable and they cleaned the room daily plus provided new towels + soaps. Wifi was quite weak...
i stayed at this guest house for two nights and it was indeed a pleasant stay. the purpose of my short stay in malaysia was obtaining a new visa and this was just perfect for it. cheap and very close to pasar seni lrt station. the staff was nice and helpful as were the other guests. overall i'm very satisfied. recommended. one more thing: it might just be me (use...
Pros: located in Dataran Larkin market/shop area on 2nd floor of coin laundry, just 7min walk across Larkin sentral bus station. Easy bus access to Singapore, and cities in Malaysia peninsular. Female dorm equipped with small locker and power socket. They provide blanket, soap and simple breakfast. Cons : shaky bunk bed, no curtain for privacy, a shoe rack near front ...
It took us a while to look for it from the Dutch square where we got off the bus No.17. The guesthouse is kind of opposite a 5 star hotel. Shoes are required to take off when entering the guesthouse. We booked 2 twin rooms at first, but because we have 4 female family members, the owner suggested that we should take a family suite. It turned out to be great...it was a ...
1. The location is right in the heart of the core zone. All the cultural places are within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. I left way early for all the free tours I joined, so this is actually the first time i actually arrived early for any of my scheduled trips, I think. There is absolutely no need to take the bus, free or not, or Uber/Grab because everything is wi...
Roof Top Guest House was within walking distance to Jonker Walk Night Market. Excellent location in the city. Close to all the attractions. Had a one night stay at this location and staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Will stay here again if I get the chance.
Backpacker Stay is a Clean and Friendly place to stay. The reason I left is bcz the bed was too soft. The staff are quite friendly and helpful-- he told me all the beds are soft, and even gave me suggestions of other places to look ! "Breakfast" is typical for Malaysia: bread (toast), margarine, jam, tea, and instant coffee. The rooms are clean, quite small, and basi...
I've booked a couple of nights here and I've ended up to stay one week. Ipoh it's a nice place to explore and the hostel, even if it's not in the center, it's easy to reach with bus (n°117). The staff is amazing helpful and friendly, one of the best hostel in Asia!
I never knew it would be near to the landmarks. It is quite far from the international airport but near to all tourist spots. Tourist spots are even walkable and can be reached by LRT. I will definitely recommend leo leisure hotel to my friends who would like to discover the beauty of malaysia.
price is very cheap if booking with agoda. got better discount compare with walk in. Location very near to PLUS Highway and surround with aminities area.
I spent the New Year in Skypod and I'm glad I did. The staff are extremely nice, engaging, funny, and will try their best to accommodate your needs. And this was the best part of my stay because I met really good people. They - Callvya, Farah, Pricilla, Nor, and Chichi - really know how to make you feel at home. As for the hostel, this was actually the first time for ...

Initially I wanted to book the deluxe seaview, but the price is higher than what I had expected so i decided to book the deluxe garden view instead. The room is really nice, big and spacious and most importantly clean. It also has a mediteranean feel to it which is different from other hotel, but we really like it. However it does not provide hairdryer which i think is...
The stay was unexpectedly good. I can't believe there is such awesome hotel in Malaysia. The staff was friendly ,courteous & attentive. The room is spacious & the bed is comfortable. I love it that they provide almost everything in the hotel from toothbrush to bathing salt. I love their chocolate pastry. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!
We have stayed at Imperial Hotel a number of times, but had stayed in the 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. This was actually our first time booking a deluxe room. The check in was very fast and efficient (as usual). We had requested for a smoking room but none was available at the time so we were somehow upgraded to a Suite! The suite was extremely spacious and the bed was v...
Tips: YOU MUST CHECK that the booking for an overnight stay (and not day use). This was not clear in the Agoda booking page, but I was able to upgrade with Agoda's help. Also note that all Malaysia hotels will add on a 10 MYR / night tourism tax for non-citizens (except Tune Hotel will waive the fee for Malaysia Permanent Residents)
I was amazed and way totally satisfied with my stay at Armada. Cleanliness was superb! The room was so tidy, with complete utilities! And their food was great! I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends when they visit Malaysia and I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time. For the polite people at the reception, thank you! My experience at Armada adds t...

most people that travel far on long haul flights are sick of the way the uk government tax us the further we go. people that visit us feel the same. i am now searching for flight tickets to thailand then travel over land into malaysia to kuala lumpur, singapore or manila. you can also get to bali by ship. stay in nice hotels on the way like empire hotel subang which is...
Wi-Fi was unavailable but lucky enough to bring a laptop and LAN wire so personal network was set up in no time. Good facilities. After all, how many hotels in Malaysia have three swimming pools? The room was loaded with useful tools like ironing board and the iron, which seem pretty basic but very important. The downsides are that the lifts were a bit confusing. Both ...
Professional staff in handling check in and all area in this hotel. For the first time in many years i stay hotel in malaysia the reception staff call me in the room within few minutes i check in asking bout any difficulties or bad things bout the room.Superb job. The parking should be free. I've been to a lot of hotels in Malaysia. Even 3-4 stars, the parking is free.
New York hotel in Johor Bahru is conveniently located close to Singapore border. This makes the hotel a great hotel for business travelers or family going on vacation to Singapore but would prefer to stay in Malaysia. The rooms have recently been refurbished and its more modern and a more spacious feel. Amenities are plenty which includes an indoor swimming pool, ...
Great place to stay. Walking distance (very near) a big shopping complex. Good food, movie and massage place. The best is the hotel is near Legoland Malaysia. Will come again to the hotel perhaps after few years. Only flaw is that the wifi is extremely slow, unable to surf the internet. Then again who needs the internet when you are enjoying your vacation.
Two of us touring on motorbikes stayed here for the obligatory visit to Cameron Highlands while visiting Malaysia. Hotel seemed bery new at time of writing (Oct 2018). The room was clean and spacious (we were upgraded to a two bed suite) and the locations was brilliant. There is a night market just outside that rivals the Brinchang Market but far less effort. Overall...
I love staying in apartments/ residence like this instead of one small hotel room as I do not require any service during the stay at all. Enjoyed the good size of the one bedroom appartment. I stayed there with wife, daughther an niece to attend a family wedding. The location is superb a stone throw via the cinnecting bridge to NU sentral, KL sentral and the KL express train that brought use to KLIA in less than half hour ride. Stayed 1 night with my wife for Putrajaya hot air balloon festival. Was pleasantly surprised during check in because the hotel was much nicer than it looked on Agoda photos. Walking distance to Alamanda mall for food and entertainment was all availab...

It was a pleasent stay, good deco, courteouse staff, comfortable bed, relaxing enviroment. Location wise it is great, with all the great choise of food selectiom within walking distance of the hotel. great experience at Avillion hotel. One of my favourite hotel in Malaysia. The Avi Spa is so relaxing and facing the sea you can smell the sea so close. The only cons i think is the car park, its small and easily full. However, there is another car park opposite, far a bit.
We booked a seaview suite which is very spacious and has a wonderful view over the pool area and the ocean. The room also had the priveleges of using the private Kings Club Lounge with a gourmet breakfast, high tea (delicious) and a cocktail hour with canapes, plus refreshments all day long. The real bonus of these priveleges was the outstanding service we received fr...
Amazing! We chose the Hilton because it was conveniently located across the road from the airport express terminal, and offered 5 star luxury. It did not disappoint. From when we first arrived off a 13 hr flight and ordered room service, we were amazed by the quality of the food, the huge portions and how cheap it was compared to Europe. The following morning, the br...
I would like to highlight that this is one of the best breakfast ive had In a hotel. and I have been in a lot of hotels. Also there is Club right upstairs and a mall attached to the Hotel. This is one of the best Hotels in Malaysia.
The panaroma sea view villas were great, very private and awesome view. we booked through agoda 1.5 months earlier, however when we arrive, reception could not find our booking. after 15 minutes, they sent us to the lighthouse reception. we waited another 10 minutes as they couldn't find our booking as well. customer service had to call up their reservations departmen...
From arrival, then check in, all perfect. Room was fantastic with great view. The only lack was short of staff. For 5 star hotel, hotel lobby MUST have someone, to mingle with guest and ready for any questions. If this area can be achieved, it will be best hotel at that area and definately you will see more return guest.
This is our 3rd time stay in their Studio room since last December 2014. Previously was booked through directly from Hotel, but this time round the hotel rate slightly higher than Agoda (the staff told maybe because of GST). When we arrived we went to check in at the hotel reception and we're told that our booking was actually with Air Bnb- I had never been told or had seen Air Bnb mentioned anywhere. I felt slightly dumb when I was advised I needed to contact my Air Bnb host to get the key to the apartment- considering it wa...
On arrival we were given an upgrade which was appreciated. The room was the best we stayed in on our stay in Malaysia which included the Grand Millenium and the Hilton in KL. Outstanding room and great value for money. Excellent location, good for shopping and sight seeing right on the waterfront.

The staff were exceptional, from the concierge, to the front desk and cafe. They spare no effort to ensure your requests are met, all with a smile. One of the best hotel in Malaysia I had st...
