This is our 6th visit to Mana since 1998, and since getting home yesterday, I am trying to work out when I can go again. Fiji is a place to go if you are looking for a no stress holiday. When I say no stress, I mean you need to not care if service is slow, if things take a little longer than what you are used to in our busy lives. It is a place we go to so that we can slow down and not care too much about anything. On Mana, there is great snorkelling on a choice of beaches. Even when it is windy, you can always find a great place out of the wind to swim. The food is ok. It is fairly priced in my opinion and you can save some $$ by taking your own lunch. We take 2 minute noodles and after eating a big breakfast find that is al that is needed until dinner time. The report has changed over the time that we have been going and some of the changes I don't like. They used to have Bingo by the pool every night during happy hour which was great. It was great family fun and a time to meet new people to talk about the days adventures. The Fijian people are fantastic and we have got to know many of them from our trips. Although we didn't take the kids this time, many of the staff asked after them by name. Mana Island is a great place to get away from the hustle of real life and and get into a truly relaxed state. You just have to go with the flow. FIJI Time is the best.

The abeles with my parents and my 3 year old daughter and had the most amazing time! It is catered towards kids and is also the most beautiful setting ever! We hired the Bula bikes for the duration of our stay to get around and rode them all over the island to check it all out- I'd highly recommend getting them. There's loads of activities to choose from or you can just find yourself a hammock on the beach or a lounge by the pool to relax in paradise. We would go back to plantation island in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to others. We've been to Fiji a few times and this is the best place we've stayed. LOVE IT!!

We booked three days, two nights at the Lomani Island Resort in Fiji. We looked at the reviews and decided to give it a shot. The Island is semi secluded and is easily reached via water taxi or water plane. We took the catamaran Molocat and it was super easy. We gave then our flight details and they picked us up at the Nadi airport and took us to the marina. We got on the boat and set off for Lomani. Once at the island the resort came and picked us up after we gave them our molocat ferry time of arrival. The resort is fabulous! Adults only, quiet, romantic, and the beach, WOW! We rented a beach hut that was very nice. We were treated with music and shells around our necks and had a coconut drink while they explained the resort details. This place was romantic! We went here to get off the grid. No late night parties, no kids, people just chilling out by the pool, having drinks and good food. There were not a lot of people as we went in their spring (first of November) and got rained on one day but turned out to be a blessing as it was over 90 all other days...very hot and muggy...swam in the ocean or pool most of the hot afternoon. Had dinner out on the beach, beautiful sunsets, this place is a hidden jewel. The entire staff we met were extremely gracious and nice and at our service. They don't ask for tips but are appreciative to get one if they go above and beyond. They provide daily activities like snorkeling and you can use their kayaks, paddle boards, hobbie cats, etc to enjoy the calm blue waters. Lovely place, no problems to report, Not a 5 star hotel so if you come with that kind of atttitude you need to not ruin it for others looking to just relax and enjoy Fiji time!! We certainly did. We will be back. Love this place...love this beach....pristine coral...haute cuisine, genuine staff...come to the yasawas and stay at octopus....my wife and I enjoyed the food here more than the 5 weeks we spent touring New Zealand and I am a former sushi chef at set the bar high( best Kokoda in Fiji!)...let Cesare, Tom, Moses and the staff share the wonder and beauty of Waya Island...my wife and I stayed for 4 days and all we can think of is when can we go back...snorkeling off the beach, swimming with mantra rays, and night snorkeling for nocturnal species were only a fraction of the activities available and THIS IS THE BEST RESORT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO (I have stayed in similar accommodations in Thailand-Zeavola and Puerto Rico-El San Juan ). I just want to say Vinaka(thank you) to all the staff and especially to Chalami who gave me the awesomest haircut in my life .

After a bit of a disaster we found an Agoda deal and we stayed at the Quest. The room had everything and more than we needed. It was clean, spacious, had a tv, ac and breakfast. We were able to do a wash and dry of clothes for free - just part of the great facilities. There was gym sadly I didn't get to use it. Limited TV channels but that is Fiji. It was great to be able to park in a safe carpark with very easy access to the hotel. Only thing staff were out and about a little bit early for room service just a bit noisy in the hall.

We were extremely pleased to have booked Raffles for our final night in Fiji. To start off with, we had to delay our honeymoon in Fiji by a month as my wife had a minor surgery. Raffles was very quick to respond and agreed to postpone our trip with no additional charge, which we were grateful for. When we checked-in in the evening, the reservation desk congratulated us and (I think) upgraded us. On top of that, we were presented with sulus and sent a basket of fruits as token of congratulation. We ate at the in-house restaurant since it was getting late. The waitresses were courteous and very polite, although we only ordered a plate of spaghetti to share (as we weren't exactly hungry). The waitress even offered us more warm bread at no additional charge. When the spaghetti arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that it was actually quite tasty, and it was not expensive (FJD23). We hadn't expected this level of service and personal touch - I guess this is great reminder of the beautiful unpretentious Fijians who give so much yet expect so little, and always so warm at heart. Although our stay at Raffles was short (less than 12 hours), it was memorable and very satisfying. For the price, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a short stay, not only for the wonderful service but also for the great convenience to the airport (across the road and round-the-clock free shuttle service).

Our fifth trip to Fiji, and we knew what we wanted for a six night stay: the small Fiji island experience, usual friendly Fijian service, clear water, good coral close by, decent beach, own good-quality bure facing the water, private outdoor shower and an overall high standard, plus not too unaffordable for us. Paradise Cove gave us all these things, so overall we were very happy with our choice. The Yasawa Island views are great, even the weather was pretty cooperative (last week of October). Hardly cheap, but we appreciate the expense of doing things well on an isolated island, and the general difficulty of maintaining a high standard anywhere in Fiji. In most ways, the rough edges you normally expect to see in Fiji are not evident, so the place is well run. We reduced the expenses a bit by taking the Yasawa Flyer, not the seaplane. The boat trip seemed OK in both directions - did not take (or need) the Captain's Cabin upgrade either. Also we declined any of the resort drinks packages. On drinks, we took three bottles of wine and a 6 pack of beer in our luggage. These, combined with the complimentary starter minibar stock provided in the fridge of two beers, two cokes, two juices, one sprite, small white wine, plus a small red wine got us through the week quite comfortably. Depends how much you drink of course.... Note there was as many extra minibar items again in the cupboard beside the fridge...maybe these were for us at no extra charge, but we left them alone. Lest we seem too cheap, we ordered beer (FJD10), wine and cocktails (FJD28) with some of our meals. The food we would rate as good-to-excellent. Note that beef called 'medium rare' or 'seared' will indeed be served rare; whilst cooked fish (usually mahi-mahi) is perhaps sometimes a little overdone, at least to our taste, which surprised us a bit. Desserts are presented in the artistic fashion (Masterchef style) which adds to the interest. Overall, you can look forward to meal times with anticipation. We

We'd read the reviews about the hotel and we can confirm they were spot on - good and Firstly,despite the issues we experienced, the staff were fantastic at all times. The room is nice and spacious. Beds reasonably comfortable although the pillows are too fat. The AC in our main bedroom wasn't powerful enough but very adequate in the other rooms. We suffered from poor/low water pressure in the shower and some days the water temp fluctuated b/w hot and cold. The rooms are noisy however because there are no glass windows，only shutters. On at least 4 of our 14 nights we were kept awake after midnight by noisy Fijian guests. One night, they were up until 4am and required 3 visits from security. Fiji food wasn't impressive as a whole and the TokaToka restaurant continued this trend. At the buffet the roast lamb had flies all over it and the chef had to continually shoo them away. The rest of the buffet was average too and definitely not worth FJD$60pp. The hamburger I had wins the title for the worst I have ever tasted in the world. Their club sandwich was actually quite good however and the kids loved the milkshakes. They do not know the concept of HOT chips though...lost count of the amount of times we sent the chips back. The American breakfast was ok but the bacon was strange compared to Australian bacon. The selection was limited for a buffet. The hotel ran out of pool towels at times and the walkway around the pool was excruciatingly painful to walk barefoot on as the pebbles had worn away leaving sharp concrete. The kids loved the waterfall and waterslide. They had staff playing Fijian songs at reception and the pool which was nice. I must say that the staff tried extremely hard to make out stay as enjoyable as possible. They really were great. There were too many issues unfortunately. If you sleep like a log then it may be fine，but we weren't rested...and that was the purpose of our trip It's probably the best 3 star hotel in Fiji however.

I brought my mom to Fiji and stayed here for 4 nights. We cant asked for more of its great room, great staffs, free activities and conveniency to access to the dive shop , navua river with the tour and to Suva. This is a fantastic resort that answered all my needs to have a good stay at Fiji at the same time to explore Fiji whether it is underwater or travelled not so far distance to see the town and museum. My mom totally loves it and she spent her good time at the resort while i went for kayaking or diving. A Big Shout for the Yoga teacher Nikki. She is awesome instructor. My mom and i had a good strerching during her 2 classes. Kudos to the activity staffs whom accompanied for kayak on the 1st day. I did it solo paddling the next 2 days. Kamoe the reservation manager. He is the best and the most polite reservation manager i ever met. Sincerely from my heart. You guys made my free and easy trip with my mom at this foreign country an awesome one. I cant express how grateful toward.

The best resort experience, ever! Staff are all Tropica family members. Amazing people and Fijian culture. They are caring and always try their best to help. Service is excellent and unique. You definitely get your own privacy in your room or stay chilled at common area. Food and drink are attractive but price is sightly higher. Happy hour is the best! We didn't get bored with the activities (charged) or just get a kayak and snorkel around (free). We found mosquitoes are annoying so better prepare spray. Do not expect to get excellent wifi (only available at common area) as you're on an island. We enjoyed a piece of quiet, especially this is adult only resort so no kids running around and shouting. Special experience with Fiji National Day celebration. Thank you for sharing all happiness, Fiji time, and the spirit with us. All staff have amazing voice and we enjoyed all singing and dancing. Such a pity we still didn't learn how to sing the Welcome song. It is a dream place!

Superb stay, very relaxing and friendly and just what we wanted for a honeymoon. The food was superb, always something to look forward to in the evening. Relatively little to fault, perhaps a fair few bugs around but nothing that the bug spray cant solve and our bure caught the wind easily making a large howling noise most evenings. Otherwise not much to fault and if we came back to Fiji we would not hesitate to book there again. Note: If catching the Yasawa Flyer to get there make sure you upgrade to the Captain's Lounge as it is well worth it!

We choose Fiji to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Tokoriki resort was our 2nd stop at Fiji. We took short 15 min. helicopter ride from Nadi to Tokoriki. On a way back we took catamaran. Instead of promised 1 hr. ride it took us 2.5 hrs. Luckily we had an extra time before our departure time, so it wasn't an issue, but I would take seaplane or helicopter instead. We staid at Sunset Pool Villa. I think it's a best way to enjoy this resort because those villas provide complete privacy with your own pool. If you like to swim in an ocean the best beach is in front of villas 3, 4 and 5. We also enjoyed unlimited spa package (cost extra). Food was delicious. Staff is very friendly and from the 1st minute on an island they will remember your name and never mistake you with somebody else.

this trip was simply AWESOME ! although you can see the price is quite high , it worths every single penny. the staff was so friendly and professional, they always did their best to provide the most suitable choice to you. the resort was isolated , it only contained 4 villas , therefore you have a great great level of privacy and escape from the crowd. oh man everything was so great except the staff didn't mention about the water supply, which basically stopped at the time we wanted to take shower.

This is bar far the best hotel in Fiji. The staff, facilities and service is just at another level. We plan on staying here again. Despite it can be pricey at times, its still worth it. Nice comfy and spacy room. Friendly staff, kids club and the most comprehensive breakfast range i have ever seen. The hotel is newer compared to other hotels in Denarau. Its nice to walk around and visit the Marina.

We were a couple, staying in fiji for just 5days so wanted to go a bit more high end. This place was perfect. All the other people we met in the hotel (which is only 18 capacity) said it was the best of all the accommodations they’d been to whilst island hopping. Which is why it comes with the price tag! It’s expensive but they REALLY look after you. The staff are super friendly, take you on daily excursions (1 free, and 1 paid each day). It’s a 4hr boat ride from fanatics so bear this in mind. The rooms are gorgeous and very private. The beach isn’t really a swimming beach as the tide goes out a long way so it’s too shallow but they take you to swimming beaches on the excursions so doesn’t really matter. The island has only one resort and a local village which were invited to visit, so it feels a bit less ‘touristy’ than others might. It’s mostly couple that stay (from mid 20s to mid 60s when we were there) and they did a communal dinner when we were there so it’s easy to meet/chat with others there. To give you an idea, our incidentals bill was more than the room rate so it does get expensive. But we didn’t scrimp on food/alcohol/paid excursions, so you could definitely do it cheaper. I’ve travelled a massive amount and this was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in the world. Would fully recommend it. We didn’t want to leave!!

Hidden secret, one of the best in Fiji, only con would be the limited tv chanel’s in the room as half of them don’t work Need more verity on dinner menu when staying there awhile, you go back to the same after a couple of days Indian menu fantastic but needs more variety and more garlic on the naan bread but it’s great Keep the prices low and you will need to book as intercontinental guests dine here a lot as much cheaper and more value and more flavour Staff are fantastic and make this resort

The beach, just in front of the property, is a real pro to me. However, the same stretch of beach is also where people (public) gather to consume alcohol and at times, dispose the bottles recklessly. A real con. Don't be surprised to find your foot inches away from shards of glasses while you take a walk along the stretch. The team running Smugglers' at the operations level is just amazing. They will always have a smile for you and a suggestion or two on how to spend a beautiful day if you were to ask them for it. Collectively, they hold a wealth of information about Fiji. And they always make time for you. All I can say is that my initial 7 night stay in the room with the balcony extended into 12. And I would have stayed there longer if I could. We chose Fiji for a few extra days holiday in the Southern Hemisphere after completing our cruise round New Zealand and Australia. Fiji was intriguing and we booked a couple of days in Suva then moved to Denerau Iskand for 4 nights. BUT our hotel in Denerau was dirty and decrepit so we reviewed the options online and chose Castaway Island Resort. Fantastic! The routine greeting on the beach by the resident acoustic guitar group was great and they played in the restaurant at every meal. The villa was excellent, clean, well appointed comfortable and 8 yards from the beach. We went snorkelling from there twice a day. Food was good with one exception and staff exceptional. I chose a scuba day and Eric my instructor was brilliant. We would love to come again. Andrew and Margaret from UK

Booked a night before i departed for Fiji on the and spent just one night after jetting in from LA at 6am(Fiji time) 11th of Dec. As promised, pick up from Nadi Airport was available even though it was a bit late but did not affect our stay. A room was available and we got breakfast for that morning as well. Nice and friendly service from the staff at Wailoaloa considering that i am a local Fijian, and i have had some bad experiences with some hotel staff in other hotels in Nadi towards local visitors. I would gladly recommend this place for those looking for affordable and very accommodating staff.

We held our wedding at Outrigger Fiji Resort. It was the first time for us including all our guests (family & friends) staying there and it was truly amazing.The customer service is top notch, the kids club is amazing. Food tastes great and there are so many restaurants to eat at otherwise there are local food close by good to eat at a lower price. Overall the experience was best here, absolutely loved it and we are looking forward to going back; definitely worth the money.

Matamanoa was our first trip to Fiji. Island was everything I imagined and more. Water perfect. Snorkel within minutes from door of room. Kayaking fun. Staff very friendly. Not a place for foodies. Small plates/starters good. Main courses bland at best. No reason to buy full or half board (we did not). Bring your duty free wine/liquor and have cocktail hour in room. Beachfront bures nice and spacious but getting to point where updating/refreshing is needed. Resort main buildings showing signs of wear and tear. Pingpong table fun, but in need of paddles (c'mon, how expensive could they be to replace?). Net of outdoor tennis court in ruin. Big things (most of all location) of this resort is a 10. Small things are a 6. And needs new chef and/or approach to food. Would recommend overall.

My boyfriend had previously stayed Sheraton in 2010 for a wedding and recommended we stay there. It really is amazing. The pool is lagoon style curling around the restaurant and the water is so inviting. There are chairs and bars throughout the pool and a pool bar so ordering drinks is easy and it's so relaxing watching the sun set over the beach while you sip a drink in the pool. The hotel is beachfront so couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms are well-sized and the bathroom we had was very modern, with 2 mirrors/sinks. The service is fantastic, everywhere we went we had the staff yelling out 'Bula!' (Hello in Fiji) and they were more than happy to help on every occasion. The food is quite pricey (more than your average restaurant in Australia) but it is a 5 star resort so I guess it's expected. The atmosphere is fantastic. We went as a couple which was very romantic however it would also suit families and friends alike as it's very safe and child friendly. Will definitely return!
