Beautiful resort in a beautiful location. The villas are stunning, everything you need to be happy and comfortable. The staff couldn’t be any lovelier, you really feel they go the extra mile and make you feel very welcome. Aitutaki is a beautiful island, very expensive but I think this is the best accommodation on the island and would thoroughly recommend it.

Palm Grove is a hidden jewel and a MUST STAY. We stayed in a beach front bungalow, with fabulous views. The snorkeling is the best I've experiences. Better than Tahiti, Caribbean and Mexico. Fish are plentiful and colorful. The Sunday BBQ was definitely a highlight. Thanks Joanne and Nga for making our trip memorable. We will be back.

Rarotonga Villas were wonderful. Phillip and Jane were great hosts and we loved the accommodation. Great beds and pillows which to us was important. The villas are clean and well kept. We had a great holiday here and would not hesitate to recommend them to our family and friends thinking of a holiday in the Cook Islands.

Stay away from this resort for many reasons. We stayed only one night and had a 1 week booking. I knew it was a more budget hotel ( not a resort) but was surprised by no air conditioning, lack of cleanlines and overall rundown place. The airport transfer van is a joke and should be a junk yard. This place is amazing, the location is right on the lagoon, extremely clean and Peter and Vikkie were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. You can rent scooters/cars right next door but you can also walk to town, grocery stores or local bars.

I suspect the people leaving bad reviews are used to staying in luxury resorts. If you're travelling on a budget, Raina Beach Apartments is a great place to base yourself. We had a great stay at the beach shacks and would recommend to stay here. Steve was a great host, taking the chance to rent me a scooter even though I had no experience riding one - a day riding around Aitutaki was all I needed to feel almost like a pro! Having a form of transportation is essential as the island is still too large to explore via bicycle.
