Nantou hotels & accommodations

the hotel is located at the best location in Riyue tan with breath taking view. The hotel is decorated with good taste and staff is friendly. One area that needs improvement is the swimming pool area in 12F, we visited the pool on Apr 16, we found the dead frog and leafs floating in the hot pool, we mentioned to the staff, he ignored us and continued to play his cell p...

Spacious room and comfortable beds. Clean and high-tech with remote control over lighting and equipment (e.g. TV). Separate toilet, shower area and pool. The room looks exactly the same as the pictures in the website. Breakfast spread was great and tasty. Shuttle bus service is free and run hourly to/ from Shui-she visitor centre. This is the best hotels I have stayed ...

What a delightful hotel with a beautiful lake view and convenient location! We have been visiting many National Parks both in the United States and Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake National Park and Hotel del Lago definitely has been the best experience we’ve had so far. Hotel Del Lago’s location provides unparalleled views. You can sit at the balcony of the hotel room and en...

This was a multi-generational trip for us- kids 2.5 and 6 years old, along with uncle and grandma. Fantastic breakfast buffet, clean and good-sized rooms. I was worried the room would be either damp due to the hot spring factor, but it wasn’t the case. Fuli Hotel is a short walk from the bus station where Nantou bus (from High Speed Rail Station in Taichung) stops off,...

We are American ex-pats living in Taipei with two young boys. Beautiful and well-maintained facility in the mountains near Sun Moon Lake and "next door" to the Aboriginal Cultural Village (a culturally-themed amusement park with surprisingly good rides). Their primary customer base is Taiwanese and Chinese tourists, but they wasted no time finding an English-speaking e...

The hotel is slightly worn along the edges but the cleanliness is good, just that its definitely not new. The view is absolutely gorgeous and the price of the room does really justify it. We stayed in a Japanese styled room with lake view. The room ambience and the lake view matched perfectly, making us feel like we were in Japan. The staff tried their very best to be ...

If you’re planning to stay in SML, Ita Thao is the best location to stay because it’s the most “touristy” place I would say. It’s really close to the Formosan Aboriginal village which I loved. This hotel is the best hotel to stay in for the price paid. It has a beautiful lake view which is so close to the pier hence you get to take in all the view and whatever is happe...

Very closed to Suishe visitor center (Nantou bus drop off area). 3 mins walk. Some staff doesn't speak English. Recommended a lake view room "Million dollars view with affordable price" Port for sun moon lake sailing is just in front of the hotel. Youu can drop your things and start the tour right away. Few restaurants in this area. Defenitely coming back

Excellent location in Nantou! The room was luxurious and the staff very accommodating and courteous. They helped me with all my needs with the room and even helped me order breakfast for delivery when I woke up late from the included breakfast. :) Will definitely be booking again. Amazing hotel service in Taiwan.

It was a very pleasant stay in Taiwan. I love Taiwan, the food and the people. Hu Yue offers one of the best view I have experienced in life. Many details in the hotel are very thoughtful, like the Panasonic toilet seat, glass wall from the balcony so that you can even see the view on the bed and the rose bath powder.... My friend forgot his backpack (with passports ...

This hotel is located on the main road to Shitou. Just 10 minutes drive to major scenery spot. The hotel staff is very nice to explain to us the travel plan. The hotel also offer guided scenery tour and star observation for FREE! There is a wooden bathtub on the balcony. You can enjoy jacuzzi with star over the head.

Stayed in this minsu for 1 night. The minsu was situated facing the huge mountain range. View was spectacular and there was a viewing platform where you could sit and have tea. The owners were an elder couple, very friendly and their service was excellent. The rooms was divided into front block and back block. My room was named the Cancer Constellation sign. Even thoug...

Its decently pretty althought its hidden at the back lane of right beside the sun moon lake river where people cycle not easy to realise the villa but the distance away fro the shuei she pier and nantou bus stop back to taichung is ratherly near. Toilet is pretty! Bed is comfy, room is huge. I think its rather worthy of the price! Staff is so kind esp the day time lad...

It is a elegant and romantic lakeside hotel, very good for relaxing and honey moon. I love this place very much, great location, very near to Nantou bus station, nice lake view from hotel balcony as well. The Sun Moon Lake view very beutiful and amazing. We really enjoy the natural enviroment and our stay. Will definitely come back again and stay at the same hotel!

The hotel is excellent although a bit expensive but you are paying for the location. The room was awesome and it comes with unlimited portable water and the characters were just too cute. The only complaint could be that the rooms weren’t connected to the main lobby which means dragging your luggage through the cold. The food starts closing quite early after dark so be...

The hotel is a convenient boat ride from the Sun Moon Lake bus station. It is walking distance to the cable car, and right off the boat dock. The room and bedding is rather luxurious, with an excellent dinner and breakfast. We booked a lake view room and it has a jacuzzi, which is very nice after a long day hike around Sun Moon Lake. The service is excellent, and the s...

This hostel was the best out of all 3 other accommodations I stayed at in Taiwan. The hostel is brand new and all the furnishings are the highest class. The room was super clean, not even a single dust and was beautifully decorated. I can tell the host put in a lot of effort in making the place hospitable and enjoyable for her guests. We had a partial view of the lake ...

The hotel may be the best choice in the area; however, you can tell it's aged. Location wise, it takes only couple minutes to Si-Tou which is really convenient for visitors. 4 of us stayed in a family room with reasonable size. The in-hotel restaurant serves only basic foods which doesn't worthy to pay for it. Kids playground is out of dates and not well maintained...

This was the most luxurious hotel we booked for our round trip of Taiwan, so our standards weren’t too high. But the hotel looks great, a little dated perhaps, but right at the lake. Be sure to get a room with lake view, you get a balcony overlooking the lake. Free bikes is a plus, they were good enough to take us round the lake. Perhaps the only drawback is the pool/f...

I-Think Resort is more than what the photos revealed. Although it is located pretty deep inside the tiny and winding roads, you will arrive at an amazing place you would not regret staying. The scenery around the resort is breathtaking except we were pretty unlucky not to be able to see the best it could offer due to bad weather. The staff is very helpful and friendl...

This is one of the best stay i have in taiwan. Although its not at the highest point in Cingjing as compared to some other minsu, Old England is an attraction by itself and the staffs here are extremely friendly and polite. The suite came stock up with various beers, drinks, fruits as well as a 2015 red wine. Highly recommended to stay at least once here in order to e...

The location of Yunwu is quite good. You can take Nantou Bus and get off at Cingjing Guoxiao. Yunwu is just 5 minutes away from that bus stop. There is also a recreational center near Yunwu where you can find a 7-11 shop. My kids were very excited when we moved in a nicely-decorated Deluxe Family unit. They liked to climb upstairs to the loft. There was also a balc...

We only stayed one night, but it was actually a really nice hotel. We chose a room with a lake view, which was seriously breathtaking. The patio made for the nicest mornings and evenings, relaxing with a good book while taking in the landscape. The rooms were super clean, fresh looking, though maybe not "new" based off a few signs of wear and tear, not only in the ro...

This is actually homestay, not hotel, but the standard can beat 3 star hotel standard, even more. Is newly operated from Sep 2018, so everything look very new. Good location, lot of food and souvenir shop within walking distance. Breakfast is freshly cook to you when you attend to cafe, not those hotel buffet style. The taste is highly recommended! If you come to S...

The staffs were very accomodating and generous they gave us 4 free tickets and discount coupons to Cronas the newly open chocolate factory in Taiwan. That ticket cost 200NTD per person. The view was so beautiful. We can see the sea of clouds from our room. The free breakfast so yummmy!!! All in all it was a great staycation in their hotel.

I seldom leave comment about a hotel but this hotel definitely deserve my sincere compliment. They provide 5 stars customer service including pick up service (upon request) to and from the tourist attraction such as cingjing and little swiss garden. This definitely ease our trip as we travelled to cingjing by bus. Thousand thanks to the short hair lady in the front ...
Cheap places to stay in Nantou

Host is an artist by profession which explains the paintings everywhere in the common area. However, what makes this place unique Is definitely the host's passion to connect with people. It was my first experience in backpackers and I will strongly recommend solo travelers to have a go at this if you're looking beyond just having a bed to sleep. Host will urge you to ...

Absolutely the best hostel I stayed at in Taiwan. Pretty great location, two blocks away from both main streets. Very clean, kitchen and bathroom are well equipped and modern. Almost zero street noise as it's next to a school and some family residences. The best part however is James, who will make you feel at home and give you great info on the area and anything you'd...

This is one of the cheapest hostels I've stayed in in Taiwan, but with the best service! The staff immediately gave me recommendations for trips around Puli and places to eat (the bawan nearby, and the fruit juice shop on Road 14 are worth it!), the partitioned room was as soundproof as you'd expect a dorm to be, bathroom was clean with towels and toiletries provided, ...

I have been stay 3 night(separate day) at the same place and the owner upgrade my room (from twin room shared bathroom to twin room with bathroom ) without additional charge for the 1st night stay . simple check in by getting the key from the owner and simple luggade storage by putting at a place (discuss with owner) ...the room is clean and hot shower provided ...ai...

I'm usually skeptical of hostels but this is one for the books. First of all it's super clean, the bunk bed is soft and comfy. The water is hot and the shower has an amazing water pressure. Body wash and shampoo are provided. There is a kitchen area down stairs and you get free tea. They had Rooibos tea even, that's the South African tea. So I felt quite at home. I was...

Location was ok, 10 minute walk to bus station. Room was big but the floor was dirty. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean, hair everywhere. Air con was given to us for free but the room was quite overpriced and there didn't seem to be any other guests there. We only saw the owner once during our 2 night stay.

I am on a month long trip to Taiwan, and my itinerary is not fixed like a typical long-term backpacker. I was told I stayed the longest there - 5N & 4D(+). I rested a day, and researched/planned my next stage a whole day. 2 days was sightseeing. It has all the basic for a backpacker. There is no washing machine but I could do handwashing and a open rooftop helped to ...

I liked the location and the design of Perbed Hostel pretty much. Considered to what I had experienced before in Taiwan, breakfast was also excellent. What I did not like was that there were only one toilet and two showers for all guests. Also I would have appreciated if towels were provided. Please also note, that the round-the-lake bus is much cheaper for a one-way r...

Stayed here for 1night only on 29oct 2017. Choosing the Double room with no window. Pros: 1. Very beautiful room decoration. I guess this one is the most beautiful room during my whole trip in Taiwan. Bed is comfy, bathroom is gorgeous, amenities in bathroom is nice also and there is a small artificial garden beside the shower chamber. Very nice. 2. The owner is v...

When I arrived, I was told that breakfast was not included even though Agoda says it was. I think it's because there were only 2 guests including me. The shared bathroom could have been a little cleaner but it wasn't bad...hair and a dead bug on the walls. The location is very close to Sun Moon Lake but it is not in town and there are no stores or restaurants nearby. T...

I stayed here for 4 days to visit Sun Moon Lake. Naluisland has a prime location with walking distance to Ita Thao Pier, the Nantou bus stop and other hiking paths. Naluisland is clean and has a simple useful layout for each room. TV includes HBO & CNN in English, there is a mirror, drawer space and chairs. There is temperature control in each room. There's also a comm...

The view is gorgeous and it is very cooling there. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Facilities may not be as good as hotels but the view and staff made up for it. Great for a one night stay. They are able to help you book the hehuanshan sunrise tour which is a must go in my opinion. The star gazing before sunrise and sunrise are both a wonderful experience.

Tian Hsiang is a strategic location which is only approximately 100m away from a bus station "Yi ma nei li". The bus brings you up to the green green grassland, 7-eleven/ Starbucks/ information counter. We booked a double room with mountain view, it was absolutely memorable. At night, from the balcony of our room, we were able to see a sky full of stars. The place is p...

I booked this hotel at the last minute and it was one of the only ones available in Puli that particular weekend. It is pretty far outside of town, meaning you'd not even want to think about staying here unless you're driving or cycling, but apart from that it's quite comfortable. As near as I can tell it's basically a bunch of holiday homes in the countryside that hap...

We choose a double room and a family room, This is our best stay in taiwan among all 6 different hotel! I can see Their owner put alot of efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of the room, It is super super clean , Super super big room, I myself as a hotelier in Malaysia, I am very concerned about washroom, dust and linen cleanliness, but owner keep everything ...

It’s very new! Has basically everything you need for a short stay: washing + drying machine, water dispenser, cable tv, Bluetooth speaker, spacious room and bathroom, air purifier, fan, A/C, hair dryer, parking on premise, etc. But it was quite hard for us to find the location. Instruction was not clear and we had to wait for them to reply our messages. Just google Jo...

If i have another chance to visit Nantou again, I would dependently choose EG as my stay. The staff there aer awfully nice and considerate, offering anybservice and stuffs as they can The room was beyond my description, I was actually expecting that EG might be as normal and a bit old as other hostels or B&Bs, yet i was totally wrong. the moment I step into the room, w...

place is abit harder to reach because the roads towards there are not smooth, but overall is ok, the boss(female) is very hospitable, and lead us all the ways to our room and also the hotspring. Their bread is made by themselves include the tea leaves(green and red tea). It is very special and delicious, wanna grab more than 1 hahah

the hotel is hard to find, and it doesnt look like a hotel on the outside at all. we booked a lake view room, but our lake view was obstructed by construction ramps, the window was also dirty . we arrived int he evening and construction works didnt stop till late. we asked what time they start in the morning and were told "not so early". " not so early" was 8 am...

Clean rooms with private bathroom. Wifi is fast . This hotel is about the same price as an hostel so do not expect 5 star services, but if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep this is an excellent choice. Check in is at the restaurant on the first floor. Day market and lots food nearby . We will go back next time in Puli.

Excellent location in Nantou! The room was luxurious and the staff very accommodating and courteous. Amazing hotel service in Taiwan.

I had fixed feelings staying in this hotel. First of all, their hotel staffs are nice and friendly. I really enjoyed talking to them and their services. However, their staffs in breakfast place was cold and unfriendly. Second, I got 10 more bed bugs bites on legs during the second night of my stay. I was woken up and couldn't sleep due to the itchiness. I couldn't ...

Excellent hotel. Newly built and very clean. Breakfast buffet is at older Lealea gardens hotel 100 m down the road. Breakfast buffet is fine, not amazing, and offers mostly chinese style breakfast foods with some western fare. Restaurants, the waterfront pier, and the cable car are within 5 minute walk. The hotel is located on the Ithashao side of the lake. We ...

We enjoyed the lunch at the 雕之森樹屋餐廳 (Japanese Restaurant) even though the spread was actually a bit too much for us to finish. We ordered the NT$800 & NT$2000 set. The room was very clean and comfortable. They provided toiletries set too. But if you are quite particular about the type of tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, bath gel you use then it's best to bring your o...

Firstly, Qing Jing is a mountainous area in the Nantou County of Taiwan, close to the central mountain range. It's already not easy to get to, so during our visit there, my wife and I got off at the visitor centre thinking that the hotel was in walking distance. To our horror it was not.. however, when we called the hotel to ask for directions, we were so relieved to f...

booked a room with fantastic bacony view. hotel is not so easily accessible if you do not drive since it is far away from the main road. but hotel do provide transportation. did not use the hotel transport since we drove ourselves. hotel breakfast spread is also amazing with many varieties.

You need a car to stay at this place, though car park is limited. The closest convenient store is several km away (10 mins driving). I don't think it can be 4 stars by the amenities provided (paper/plastic cup). The design and layout of the room and lobby are weird, awkward and either too much or too little. It's fun to observe the utilization of furniture and decorat...

Parking space is not enough for customer. I also want to say that the day I arrived the hotel and try to call to agoda, I can't contact your service staff. Your system needs customer to provide hotel ID to entry your service call system. But when I request this number from hotel. They told me they were out of office. They didn't have it. Both of agoda and hotel are pro...

Relatively new apartment with wide selection of foods to choose from for breakfast and bicycles are available for rental at no cost! For those that wish to do laundry, washing machines are also available on the ground level. Recommended for families and couples who wish to have a short getaway at Jiji.

The room is really nice, comfortable and clean. The whole facilities was outstanding, although it was raining when we were there but I can tell the whole resort is surrounded with natural habitat. The room is really nice, clean and the hot spring was nice too. I strongly recommended this resort for future stay. Will be back again, for sure!

RELAXATION ONLY! if you are looking for nightlife its zero as only 7-11 might be the only shop that is open.
only went to Cingjing and it was a wonderful place for 1 to 2 nights stay. very relaxing, a good escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! we headed to Hualien after Cingjing and hired a private car for the route which included scenic views of Taroko.
once a while, should come staycation at the mountain area. totally different feelings from the city area.
Beware of the Taxi driver, they're very tricky. We were being scummed once and it was not very nice!
A refreshing feeling when walking along the lake. The night life was rather limited, as we came out for dinner at abt 7:30pm-8:00pm and most shops were closed.
A good place in between sun-moon lake and cingjing farm if you are planning to visit these two places and you don't drive, you must stay here for one night so that you can have sufficient time to visit these two places
The Nantou region is good for natural walk and sight seeing. The people is very friednly and environment is relaxing.
Paper Dome is a must visit place, try to visit the bee farm to purchase the honey and pollen. If passion fruit is in season, this is the best place to get it.
Cingjing is really worth a visit. Pray for good weather though. One of the days, we had such clear weather and amazing views.
A very quiet but worthy-visiting city to experience in Taiwan. The mountain and lake view is the best part.
try to travel as early as you can as it take times for you to arrive the tourist places from main city.
I visited Qing Jing. As the place was hilly, it was hard to go from one scenic spot to another. The view at Qing Jing Farm was superb.
If you talk about Nantou, there is the Sun Moon lake, Cingjing Farm, Aowanda National Park to go to. Can forget about the Swiss Garden, its nothing much over there.
Renting a car maybe a good choice, or you can drive yourself. I do not drive, so I have chosen renting a car by reserving at the Internet in advance.
There is basically just the 青青草原 and 小瑞士花園 up there. The two hotels we stayed were all very DAMP. I would suggest people stay in Pu-li, and drive up there early in the morning and come down in the evening.
You can find food to your liking with a fair price. Some hotels provide bicycles, if not rent one, you will certainly enjoy it.
Spend time at Sun Moon Lake and travel on the Jiji Line. Remember to stop at Jiji station and checheng station as there are so much things to look at.
except for lake, still can use 1 hour transport time to the QingJing Farm, is natural and beautiful hill.
If you drive, becareful. The local drives madly here, they will try many ways to cut in front of you in double solid lines.
Nantou is a beautiful place where you can slow down, relax, become carefree and fall in love with the beauty of it all!
I was in Puli for two days and I must say that this is what I call life! The people in Puli are friendly and they will go to the extra miles to help you.
the best is visit the factory which got production of goods and got testing of food & drink because there are too many to visit.
lots of things to do around this area. Travel around the lake, cycling, going to the theme park nearby.
I only went to CingJing in this trip. Should pay more attention to the weather if you would like to see the sunrise.
Must visit green green grass island. When you enter, you'll see sheep, goats, other animals just roaming around, free for you pet and take photos with.
Good if you can rent a car such that you can move around. Otherwise, you have to rely on the shuttle of your hotel.
You may visit to Lushan Hot Spring and Taroko National Park if you have extra time. Do bear in mind that the journey from Taichung city to CingJing Farm is very crooked and time consuming.
Not much to do in Nantou. There is a shop at Puli which sells nice chocolate. I think it is called 18 degrees.
People are friendly and helpful, tourists or travellers will feel safe for sightseeing. The places are uncontaminated and you will see traditional scenes and local foods which couldn't be found elsewhere.
Nantou has many attractive place such as sun moon lake & 9 culture village theme park. Is the best choice for traveller.
