"This resort took us by surprise - in a positive way - and we have stayed in many very nice hotels and locations. You immediately feel at home but are in a remote location on a wonderful island (Kadavu) in a very comfortable but also simple setting. Due to the fact that it take 'eco' serious don't expect nightlife or just TV's etc. after dark. Your lights are solar powered and water is solar heated. The staff is exceptional and knows you by name after one day. You have to be comfortable with communal meals and some chat with others guests and staff; if you prefer to stick to your own, don't talk to other travelers etc. stay away from this place as you will be an 'outcast'. You don't need to be an extrovert but minimal social skills and the ability to interact with other people in a civilized way is essential. It is a place that we would definitely recommend if like to relax without much thrill, enjoy diving or fishing and like to be around civilized people - you won't meet the crowd here that likes to party every night or get wasted. We loved it and feel that it is hard to find something even remotely similar."

"The staff amazing and welcoming and did everything possible to make my stay great. Joe the manager and dive instructor was really a pro esp with diving. And Kadavu is an incredible place to dive and I got my Open Water Diving there. The problem was that the facilities are neglected by the owners. The generators (all of them) stopped working day 2 of my week long trip and apparently the owners refuse to replace and buy a new one. I contacted them as I found being completely without any power to be unacceptable. I only stayed because the staff and Joe were so great and bc it's an island paradise. The place would be amazing if they just made some upgrades like having power. "
