Where to stay in Cagayan De Oro
Cagayan De Oro hotels & accommodations

Limketkai Luxe is your best choice to stay in Cagayan de Oro. Though pricey, the location is perfect for going around the city. You have several choices of malls within the vicinity and the hotel offers a very comfortable stay, with gracious staff to assist their guests. If there is anything they should improve on, it's the breakfast buffet. They should make the fo...

As usual, I always look for and stay in a Red Planet Hitel and whenever I am in Cagayan de Oro City., this isy defsult hotel. The facilities are always ckean, minimalist and streamlined. The staff us akways hekpful? Kind, but veru professional and firm. The ladt time I stayed there I slipped in the wet, slippery showeroom. The staff was very concerned and eventually a...

I like the place but to be honest, I don't like my stay this time. I'm with my kids and it's their second time to visit the place and unfortunately they choose the place because they like and the wifi because it's s good among the hotels we've been to in Cagayan de Oro. But this time the wifi sucks and I wasn't able ti do my online works, email and other onlien transac...

Great budget hotel in a good location in Cagayan De Oro. Typical Filipino breakfast on offer, all OK if you like fish for breakfast. That aside, we stayed in an executive suite which was a great size, very clean and comfortable. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Cagayan De Oro

Location wise, it’s between two malls Ayala Centrio and Sm Cagayan. The room is really nice, clean and at par with hotel standards. The bed’s comfortable, the comfort room is clean and with good water pressure. Would love to stay here again whenever we go to Cagayan de Oro.

The place is good cos they have the cheaper option for single travelers with a standard single bed for the bedroom. Location is excellent in city centre and it's near public transport, eateries, malls and the Universitiee. Breakfast is great pinoy food and they serve you in bed (that's why it's call ("Bed & Breakfast")! The staffs are generally helpful and friendly ...

New Dawn Hotel is my go-to hotel in Cagayan de Oro because of its location and the rooms are nice compared to other hotels in the same price range. I love the rooftop bar and they also have a spa. I definitely recommend this hotel. If you're looking through the comments to see if you would book this hotel, stop scrolling and book now :)

Rich Manor is always been my first choice when it comes to "where to stay in Cagayan de oro City". I've been to this Pension House twice and as always they never failed to satify me. Location wise beyond 5 stars. When you want go chill or malling its just a few steps away literally. My boyfriend and I loves to stay here because we can explore Cagayan de Oro in just me...

When in Cagayan de Oro N hotel is the hotel place to be😍. We booked multiple hotels here and no regrets. The hotel room are nice and cozy and there is enough space in the room. They have recreational pool. Breakfast included too. This is a perfect place from the city buzz and you can go outside the hotel there are fastfoods available outside. Everything is jist fine...

We actually made our booking last minute. We spent the day at a resort in Initao and had to travel to Iligan the next day. The resort we visited was booked up. We weren't looking forward to making the drive back down from Cagayan de Oro again. We were lucky Lohas was nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked our room (we booked a Grand Superior). It w...

We were visiting a friend whose father has just died, so we know that we wouldn't have the luxury of time to enjoy the city. We chose Uptown because it is very near the airport, and because it's new. We were really impressed with the size of the room. It's really a condominium type room, with a loft, a kitchen area, and living room. We can still smell the "newness" of ...

I am travelling for business purposes in cagayan,I have tried many different hotel to stay every time I visit there but the Primavera is exceptional. Why I can say it is the best first I didn't expect that they will literal and respectfully grant all of my special request when I booked on their residence. Second the staff are very accommodating. Third they don't do ove...

This was by far the most pleasant stay I've had at any hotel in the Philippines. After staying at Apple Tree Resort for a week, I give this hotel the highest marks and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to northern Mindanao. We were always treated extremely well and the staff did everything possible to accommodate our needs, no matter what we asked f...

We have visited CDO many times, and on each occasion have stayed in a different hotel, and left each hotel disappointed vowing never to return to said hotel. This occasion was different, we will be returning to St. Nicholas Inn. It is centrally located, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the price is right. If you are looking for 5* hotel, then don't s...

I was in Cagayan De Oro for a business trip and unfortunately, my go-to hotel was fully booked. Arrived earlier that expected and asked if we could check-in earlier but they told me that we had to pay extra to check-in early. Upon checking-in, I noticed that the beds were smaller compared to the usual ones that the other hotels have. The hotel had a Bar in the top fl...

Ultrawinds Mountain Resort is a great place to unwind which is just a few minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City. The staff there are very nice and accommodating. If you love to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, you will certainly love the place. At night, head out to the pool area and enjoy Cagayan de Oro City lights. Yes, this place is already ...

This is the first time I've stayed at this hotel .. following a return to Cagayan de Oro after 6 years .. only appx 15-20 min walk to Ayala Centrio and SM Malls .. and a 5 min walk to the square where you can find all the usually fast food places, McDonald's, Jolibee, Chowking , Burger King etc .. From arrival to departure the staff , receptions, waiters, security...

I would stay that this inn is great that despite I enter the building late night they still have people that will accomodate you. I arrived from Davao city in Cagayan de oro around 11pm and I used my Agoda App to look for any cheap inn that would let me stay for a night but as I checked in their O felt like I still wanted to stay. location wise, it is awesome because y...

We had a nice experience here... The overlooking view to the Macajalar bay and the growing city of Cagayan de Oro is mesmerising day or night time. The environment is so relaxing and having a garden atmosphere was just good enough for a restful holiday. But we would just like to suggest that the management should start practicing composting rather than burning dry leav...

We were looking for a hotel near food places. Mallberry offers such a convenient location. It's near 2 of the biggest malls in Cagayan de Oro, Limketkai Mall and Ayala Centrio. There's a nearby supermarket,Robinsons. The buffet breakfast was nice. the gym personnel, bellboys, all the staff were very polite. They always greet us when we pass them by. We were provided w...

Stayed 3 nights in the hotel. Dec 29- Jan 1, 2018. Location is superb and room is so big can fit a whole family. The staffs were kind an respectful but endorsing was not well. One F.O told me they the need payment to extend my stay. But i have paid cash the night before. But overall 9/10 thank you for the good service. Definitely will come Back to stay in your hotel...
Cheap places to stay in Cagayan De Oro

i always check in here whenever i visit CDO primarily because of their location. Near the malls, near 7/11 and cheap transportation, sikad! :) i just wish that all the remote controls are functioning well (there was one booking front desk told me i have no remote for tv because there are no available), and also the last time i checked in, the towel was torn. Also, sma...

After the modern look of the lobby, I did not expect the room to be old-ish. It wasn’t dilapidated or anything. It’s liveable and decent but I expected something more. But I’d still book another stay in this hotel because it is easy on the pockets, and it is also very near to businesses. That is to say, it’s a walking distance to Gaisano and Centrio. And since you’re ...

A perfect place to stay if you're just planning an overnight tour to cagayan de oro. The room is simple, airconditioning system is good, they have hot and cold shower just what you need after a day of city tour or white river rafting. Plus it's very affordable. Van and bus to balingoan port is readily available (going to camiguin). The only downside is, it's within the...

I stayed at the Golden Stallion Suites from 4/22/2017 through 4/24/2017. I was in CDO for a wedding and had booked very upscale hotels for my stay, but due to some conventions, they were booked for the first two days of my stay. I looked here in Agoda and found the Golden Stallion and its price was about 1/4 of the others I booked, so I gave it a try. Most taxi driv...

I had an enjoyable stay on this budget accommodation for an affordable price courtesy of Agoda. What I like about this hotel, is that it is very right in the middle of Cagayan de Oro City which makes it a reference point when touring around the city. It is very near the malls and some places of interest in CDO. They are also near in a lot of cafes and restaurants (rest...

It was great, the room was cleaned, just a little bit small room for the 3 person but it was great, the buffet breakfast was good, friendly staff ever. I would like to stay here again, and recommend this hotel to the travelers want to stay in Cagayan De Oro City. Great price and accessible.

We have used this hotel several times and like to go back. The location close to Coastal Highway, next to Limketkai Mall and close to Cogon Market make it very convenient to us. The staff is excellent. Breakfast is not included, but for 89 pesos it is good. We like to sit in the evening at next doors Cham's to drink a beer and watch the street life or walk ro Cogon for...

Before my arrival, I kept in contact with them to make sure that my reservation was reflected in their system. It wasn't but they were more than happy to reserve a room for me. On the day of my arrival, they were very helpful as they allowed me to check in earlier since the room is already free and ready. I met the owner, or manager, I believed. She was really nice an...

Overall my stay was so short that I only got to meet the staff during mornings and evenings because I was out the whole day. But within that short period of time, the owner and the staff were able to accommodate all my queries and needs. They are very willing to respond to your requests even at wee hours of the evening as long as the materials needed are at hand. Th...

Location of the condo unit was beside Ayala Centrio and near SM CDO. It was okay with utensils and small appliances for heating food. The extra bed is actually an extra mattress without any cover. Wifi wasn't working at all or maybe it was just bad reception. Condo staff especially the guards were arrogant and rude, we asked if we could talk to the unit owner to make ...

I think I already did this review. I won't come back on this place but I can recommend this to those who are not fussy. The price does not commensurate to what you get. There is no wardrobe to hang your clothes especially if you are staying for 7 days. No hair dryer a very basic needs for women with long hair like me. There are hotels in Cagayan de Oro City ( City I w...

The place was clean and big enough for 3 adults and 1 toddler. Originally we were booked at a specific room but was transferred on the day of check in since the owner (i guess) thought, that the original room assigned to us doesn’t have enoigh amenities for 3 adults. Not bad! The only problem i encountered is the parking area but it was understandable simce it is a con...

My kids were disappointed because the pool was under repair and we we're not informed ahead. It was the reason why we choose this condo. In the website, they included the pool as one of the facilities available. I will never go back there. We should have stayed in a hotel where bed linens are of quality.

there are actully grocery items which u can cook or consume just pay it wen u check out, its really cool and the place is very clean, you get to still feel the fresh air for its location is not that close to city’s busy cosmopolitan road that is full of smoke. it is very peaceful and secured. they have thas veru attentive guards on duty 24/7 and the owner is always the...

Excellent value self-contained home in quiet friendly neighborhood. Jollibee nearby. Helpful caretaker lives opposite. Close to the shopping mall in nearby Iponan and Seven Seas Water Park. Close to main highway to the airport. Thanks to the host for excellent accommodation.

The place was clean and spacious and was able to contact owner's representative with ease. But GUARD duty for the parking service was POOR they don't traffic proper car space parking. When we arrived there should be enough space but due to incorrect parking space was wasted. We were ask to park very far and the next early morning we were awaken telling us that we shou...

Host did not email ahead the details of check in. Checking in is very disappointing since we were asked of our room number and we did not know. There is no generator nor emergency light even inside the room. During brown out, you have to provide your own flash light.

She (the owner) will give you a contact number which is not in the Philippines and when you email her, you will get her reply for about 12 hours (hassle, right?) and then she will tell you that she was asleep at that time because she is not in the Philippines, she is in a country which has different time zone. My check-in time was 2pm and she replied 10pm (hmm???). Goo...

The traffic was like nothing I have experienced. No traffic lights or stop signs. Public transportation does well with dealing with it.
Centralized are accessable. Hotel cleanliness was to be desired, the bed infestation is in abundance, the management sir not offer any apologies or indeed a refund of sorts,it cost me 400eso for hospital consultation and 2.
Poor urban planning. Traffic everywhere just like Metro Manila. Buses, trucks and pedicabs converge on their main roads
It is a safe city. there is a daily flight from cebu to cagayan de oro aside from the boat trips. This city has lots of fine dining restaurants.
Cagayan de Oro - being fondly called the "City of Golden Friendship" has lived up to its name. Try to visit tourist attractions around the city and neighboring areas in order to savor what are being offered in this great place.
Aside from the mall and water rafting, there is nothing much to do in this city. For those who are religious, they can visit El Salvador where the shrine of the Divine Mercy is located.
very clean ,the people are friendly and helpful ,shopping excellent and transportation easy to get and not expensive .
Cagayan de Oro is important for services you cannot find somewhere else, from medical to administrative.
People are generally friendly but I was surprised at the number of beggars in the streets. The city has a traffic problem and the whole place looks like it could do with a good cleaning.
The city itself is loud and busy, but there are good quaint places to eat at a good price. The city is interesting if you like the hustle and bustle of Philippine city life but I would recommend getting out away from the city of CDO itself to the beach, or forest park, or other outlying areas, like a trip to Camiguin island.
extremely exceptional place, the town's people are very warm and accomodating. It is indeed the city of the golden friendship!
CDO is a nice place to visit , but I think there is a need to improve on the cleanliness of the area.
A really freindly place to visit, the restaurants at Opol on stilts in the water are fantastic, if you waqnt to experience real calm and well being then a must see is The Statue of The Devine Mercy.
A big city with lots of business establishments. It's good to conduct business meeting and conferences in this place because commuting for attendees/participants is very easy.
A new airport, close to Camiguin, great night life. Many activities to do out of town including zipline and white water rafting.
Adventure filled stay at CDO! White water rafting and the Dahilayan zipline and dropzone were awesome!
Cagayan De Oro City is one of the progressive cities of Mindanao and is consider to be a business center of northern Mindanao.
Good shopping and business city. Close to excellelent white water rafting and adventure park. ( zipline and drop zone)
The place is nice. So many nearby beaches. Maybe an hour or two to reach one but it's all worth it. Just be careful with swindlers.
City itself is dirty, crowded, noisy and polluted..a mini Manila. Was only going to stay few hours but got trapped for 3 days due to ferry and flights being sold out.
Cagayan de Oro has a lot of potential. That's another way of saying it hasn't achieved anything as a city yet.
I ask the people living there where is good place to take pictures. They said nothing to visit and places to take pictures.
It is nice to visit the beaches in Cagayan de Oro and I like getting a massage at the Spas there because it is relatively cheap and the sfaff are good in doing massages
Cagayan de Oro City is already partially urbanized. Although it still kept and hid the nature's beauty which you should discover.
stayed here for 7 nights. awesome places to visit. canoeing is fun. beaches are awesome. horseback riding.
My Wife lives near Cagayan de oro so I'm a frequent visitor here. It has all of the amenities you would expect from a City but it is also a very busy place.
Nice city and a lot of good restaurants and spots but not easy to reach since airport now quite far and no night flights.
Although CDO is just-like Manila in a sense that it is a bustling metropolis, one can explore the rest of Northern Mindanao.
A much smaller city compared to Manila. Mainly for outdoor activities. There are a few shopping malls in the city center area, which are new and has international brands.
CDO is slowly being modernised with many new buildings and upcoming hotels about to open, depending where you come from, the Malls are just the same.
