"eden hotel was my second stop in the lovely sri lanka. as soon as we reach the hotel the friendly receptionist nayomi was waiting for us with the welcome drinks and very genuine smile. they give us a us a room with a very nice view. the thing is that the furniture with the decorations looks very old. they definitely needs to do some renovation especially in comparison with the other hotels that we've stayed in in the same area. the second day of our stay my wife and i had an incident. we went tour in the lagoon and were bitten by some wild mosquitos and bugs. plus the ones already next to the beach and swimming pool of the hotel. we informed the admission staff the lovely thelma and also nayomi and they really impress us with their efficiency . nayomi called for a transport to take me to a pharmacie in the same time thelma called for a doctor who was busy however since we were frustrated with all the scary big bites they let us talk to the doctor who reassure us and told us that she will be there as soon as she can. half an hour later the doctor with the proper medicine was there. thelma sent the maintenance with the house keeping to do a thorough cleaning plus to fix a mosquitonette in our room. they really knew how to take care of us. i was planning to stay in eden for only 4 days so i can move to my next stop however we extend it to one week. the seafood in the pool restaurant "splash " is amazing and zeyosa was taking care of us every day with his lovely smile and hat. every day we were lucky to assist a different theme buffet and also a different entairtenment. there is also a hidden restaurant in the second floor which is very posh and fancy. ask watever you like and the chef will prepare it. the have an amazing palate pleaser and the staff is very professional. to summarize , we had a lovely stay in this hotel, the pool is very nice, beach area lovely, food is awesome and the staff is really five star. who cares about the rooms as fare as it's ve"

"It was a memorable stay at Cinnamon Bey. Nice New hotel with friendly staff. Food Excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Sri lankan dishes were excellent. I have tasted almost all sri lankan breakfast dishes in one morning and it was really nice. Cinnamon bey beach has advantage compared to other beach hotels in Beruwala. The Barbarian Reef act as water breaker and create a safe place to have sea bath. View with the light house is excellent."

"Lovely hotel located in a quiet area of Beruwala right on the beach, there’s a decent reef 50m off the beach which offers some decent snorkelling. We had a ground floor room with direct access to the pool which was perfect for our kids. The breakfast is okay but nothing special, similarly the other available meals are nothing special and overpriced, best to walk 5 minutes down the beach to a small number of restaurants. The staff are friendly, eager to help and are really good with kids especially the chefs who created different ice cream sundaes for them. At the neighbouring hotel there’s a dive centre which isn’t shown on google maps. Loved the hotel but overall not too sure on Beruwala as a long stay location, it doesn’t offer much as a resort town. We will definitely stay again but only on our way further south."

"Very relaxing stay at the Lanka Princess - very friendly pool and restaurant staff - pool areas great and calm with no children - the room very clean and comfortable - food excellent with good choice between western and sri lankan food. Is marketed mainly at Germans but wasn't a problem even though I am from UK, all the staff spoke English. I wouldn't go there for a wild time though as is very sedentary, calm/relaxed atmosphere and most people middle age - if you want relaxation this is a good place! The only negetive is the reception staff could be a bit more customer focused and the day before leaving oen of them interupted my breakfast to bizarrely ask what time i would be checking out the next day, why i have no idea but felt was rather inappropriate/unnecessary, and i note that another person mentioned this in the reviews - hotel take note! Otherwise was hassle free and all the other staff were no hassle and right level of friendliness/attention. I'd definately return next time in Sri Lanka. "
