"Very cute hotel in Chinatown. One window in the room and one in the bathroom, which was a nice change. The front desk person even helped us order delivery pizza, which is surprisingly confusing in KL!"

"I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort. "

"After reading the reviews about this place I wanted to try it out - it was worth of an experience. Locationwise, it's right on Petailing Street, Chinatown. Plenty of food stalls, fresh cut fruits. The room (bed) is a whole new experience and is worth trying. There are 30 stair steps to walk up to get to the lift to the reception on level 3 and I had no problem with this. I stayed in a single Capsule Bed - 8 Female. It's a newly open hotel. My bed is clean. However, my bed sheet and towel were not changed daily (or I should have asked?). Anyway I was there 2 nights and didn't have issue on this. I do not think they swept the floor the whole time I was there so there were lots of hair on the floor. I could hear people open and close the "Space door" to get into their bed. However, there's 100% privacy once you close your own door. The bed is quite low and could be a bit difficult to get in and out for someone who is less than fit."

"Our Family flies Air Asia and we often require a stop over in Kuala Lumpur. This is never a problem because we always stay at The Explorers Guesthouse. We travel between KLIA 2 and Chinatown on the Star Shuttle bus which has a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse. We are always welcomed with a friendly smile no matter what time of day or night we arrive. The staff are very helpful. The guesthouse facilities are just what we require all at a reasonable price - clean comfortable rooms, wifi and desktop computers, storeroom, free toast, tea and coffee for breakfast. It is all good for us and we do not hesitate to recommend this accomodation to others. We look foward to our next KL stopover at The Explorers. Sincerely Gary Collinson and family from Perth Western Australia"

"The reception speaks very good English and very helpful. Breakfast is good. The room has a kettle and a fridge. Wifi is not the best. The location is good in theory. Close to china town and right infront of pudu sentral station. Actually the surrounding is the worst. Many beggars and men look strange. Many talk to themselves, some have their shirts on, lots of sexual herrassment right infront of my eyes, a man opening his zipper and showing his private parts and grabbing girls on the street. The area including chinatown is not safe for girls at all. "
