My flight arrived at midnight and my next one was in 7 hours so I thought instead of staying at a hotel I would just try to get a couple of hours sleep at this capsule lounge which I very tried before. I booked a six hours stay and the receptionist gave me some hassle because I did not request an early check in even though I got there on the official date of my reservation. I still got my capsule and at first it looked comfortable enough. I got a locker just outside their main entrance to store my main luggage while the capsule was big enough to fit my carry on bag at the foot of the bed. There are no onsite washrooms but the public airport ones are a short walk away on the same floor. I knew this in advance so was okay with this. But where the major downside was for me as a light sleeper is that there is no soundproofing at all. I can hear other guests snoring and a few even were inconsiderate to have their electronic devices beeping. There’s also this annoying flash from the smoke alarm installed right over me inside the capsule. As a result even after two days of flying, I was not able to sleep a wink during my stay here. Therefore for light sleepers I would definitely not recommend such a facility.
The departure lobby of the airport was very convenient as it is an unrestricted area, allowing for a quick nap until check-in for the flight begins. It was comfortable to be able to store my suitcase in a locker and take my carry-on luggage into a locking capsule bed, which provided a sense of security while lying down. The state of the beds was clean, which also contributed to a reassuring experience. However, it was disappointing that there were no showers in this facility. I heard that there are public shower facilities on the fourth floor, but since they are located next to the toilets, I felt that using them would require some ingenuity and courage. Additionally, there is a bench in front of the facility, and if people sitting on the bench are loud, it can be bothersome even inside the capsule bed, which I found to be a slight downside.
This transit lounge is situated nicely inside terminal 1 of KLIA. I left the luggage in the locker and went into the room with bare minimum necessities. No problem to get to the community type bathrooms and toilets and they are plenty. The mattress is comfortable and firm. The amenities provided are just enough for a solo traveler like me who just want a few hours of sound sleep before the next journey starts. Bravo!
Good value of money for short/long transit. You don’t have to worry about being late for check-in, because it is located on the same level of departure hall. Flexible check out time–in case your flight is delayed. You just have to pay few bucks extra. Small cons (personally) shower is located a level below–wish it’s nearer. All in all, I had a good stay throughout my 20h transit. Room: Comfortable & clean Amenities: Toothbrush, earbuds, sleeping mask & water bottle are provided Luggage Storage: Provided upon check-in Staff: Friendly & helpful

“CapsuleTransit T1 vs T2”
There is a CapsuleTransit in KLIA T1 and also one in KLIA T2. I tried the T2 branch in July 2024 and the T1 in Nov 2024. Location: The T1 branch is conveniently located on Level 5 (Departure), behind check-in row B-C and opposite 7-eleven. The T2 branch is in the bus terminal (Level 1) of T2, which is quite a far walk from Arrival/Departure. Staffs: Both the T1 and T2 branches have helpful staff, but the T1 branch has a smaller counter and narrower entrance. Upon check-in, guests receive a bag with eye-mask, toothbrush and a bottle of water. (The T2 branch also provides towel but not the T1 branch.) Capsule: Both T1 & T2 have 2 rows of capsule (upper or lower). The T1 capsules have sliding door while the T2 capsules have pull-down curtain. I'm lucky to have quiet and clean capsules in both T1 and T2. The T1 branch is small (only 1 corridor in sleeping area, with luggage lockers located outside the hotel in the public area) while the T2 branch is more spacious with more corridors and more capsules (and luggage lockers located within hotel premise) Wifi: Both the T1 & T2 branches offer free wifi, which is good for emails & social media but a bit slow for video streaming Toilet/Shower: The T1 branch, being small, doesn't have its own in-house toilet/shower. Guests have to use toilets in the public area (luckily there are 2 sets of toilets nearby). For shower, guests have to walk across the whole terminal to use the free shower (cold water only) at Level 4. (Bring along own towel and toiletries.) The T2 branch is much better as it has its own in-house toilets and showers (with warm water and free towel). Coffee machine: Both the T1 & T2 branches have a small coffee machine. While the T2 coffee machine is in a small lounge with chairs, the T1 coffee machine is in the reception area and the only sitting place to enjoy your coffee is in the public area (which is often crowded because of the 7-eleven). Value for money: Both the T1 & T2 branches are considered "mid-range" in Malaysian standard. One capsule here easily costs twice or thrice the price of a capsule in downtown KL, but the extra cost is worth the convenience if you have a late arrival or early departure. Ironically, T1 serves full service airlines but the T1 branch feels "budget" because of a lack of in-house toilet/shower, while T2 serves budget airlines but the T2 branch feels "full service" because of in-house toilet/shower, in-house luggage locker, in-house lounge and free towel.
