“A budget hotel”
The room I first got was a dud. The tub overflowed and sewage filled the whole room right as I was about to take a bath after checking in. The hotel took a while to respond to my request for help too. A staff only appeared about twenty or so minutes after I notified the front desk of my issue, which was pretty slow. The replacement room (of the same type) was adequate for my needs. It was spacious (though a lot of space was wasted with the corridor from the main door to the bedroom) and very clean. Unfortunately however, APA does not replace your sheets daily. They only do it every few days, which was irksome for me. They do make up your room, though you have to be out by a certain time (I can't remember what time it was though I think it was 10am) and hang the room make up card on the door for them to do it. The bathroom was decent but the tub was rather small and the bidet had issues sporadically throughout my stay. It wouldn't work at all sometimes, or would only spray water for just a bit before shutting off and stopping. It was irritating to say the least. Location is great. If you're from Narita Airport, there's a direct bus that drops you off right at the hotel entrance. There's also a covered walkway to the Makuhari Messe, which is a godsend for the days it rained when I was there for the Tokyo Game Show. It's a bit of a jaunt to the Kaihimmakuhari Station, around 5 - 10 minutes depending on your speed. There's plenty of food around and there's even an AEON supermarket down the road if you want to buy your own groceries. I honestly won't be staying here again for because of the issues I highlighted. I attend the Tokyo Game Show annually and have tried Hotel New Otani (which is across from APA) and APA. Hotel New Otani would be my pick but it is now much more expensive since 2023 (which was why I changed to APA) and definitely not in my budget any longer. This year, I'm thinking I'll try Hotel Green Tower or Shuranza to see if they're worth it. APA definitely isn't for me.
